Be funky and fun with BTZ's Rock On One Step Contemporary Permanent Hair Color! Get bright, vivid, vibrant color with permanent, long lasting results! The conditioning formula will help to leave hair smooth and moisturized. Control the intensity of the tone by mixing and matching shades to create your own signature color. Now you can become an artist by creating fashionable hair art by combining colors to create an unlimited shade palette.
  • Using a non-metallic bowl, mix 2oz of hair color with 2oz of 10V or 40V developer. Use 10 Volume Developer with a processing time of 10-20 minutes when applying to pre-lightened hair. Use 40 Volume Developer with a processing time of 30-40 minutes when applying to virgin hair that has not been previously color treated.

For the most vibrant results apply to natural hair color levels 6 (dark blonde) and lighter. Pre-lightening prior to application on darker virgin hair color or hair that has been previously colored is often necessary for the most vibrant results. Use suitable protective gloves and apply color on desired strands. After processing rinse thoroughly.

  • Use petroleum jelly around hair line to keep skin from staining. Remember, if the hair is already color treated you may need to remove the previously applied color prior to your BTZ(TM) application. First, complete a test strand to ensure desired results as well as a preliminary patch test for safe product use.

Note: Permanent Hair Color alters the natural hair color and will not revert back to virgin hair.

Can I use tangerine fire on previously dyed hair with a 30v developer?

Asked by: SarahBeth90
It will work on your roots, but not on the previously dyed hair. Hair color cannot lift (lighten) hair color. You will have to remove the previous dye using a color remover or lightener (bleach).

Does this work on dark hair? I have dark brown almost black hair.

Asked by: TammyTanner
I used Splat once before I knew better. I couldn't get it out even after multiple bleacnings. I was told by a few professionals to never use it. I always buy professional color now. If you're hair is dark it may look more black. If you want a bright color it's probably better to lightne it a little first

My hair is dark brown. How will this look on me?

Asked by: Mariakukis
As long as you haven't previously treated your hair (ie: dyed it dark brown) the color should look fairly well defined. If it is treated, you might wanna lighten it a bit.

Has anyone used the vintage denim and if so how did it turn out? My hair is silver/gray. What developer # should I use?

Asked by: Tina2004
If you use 10 volume which is for deposit only, but it will not open the cuticle. If you use 20 volume you will get lift which you don’t need, so I would suggest that you mix you developer to 15 volume. That way you get the cuticles to open enough to take the the shade you want and still deposit it without it washing out. This advice would also depend on the natural level of gray you are working with. There are several shades of gray if it is a shade darker than 5 use the 20 volume developer. That my opinion after

i dyed it a few months back Magenta w/o bleaching it. i shaved my head in 2014 & dying it magenta is the first time i had done that.now its faded redish to it and i want to dye it a teal what to do w/o bleach N out the red tone.

Asked by: taylor marie
I mean the 30 volume and the real would prolly work, but honestly, the lighter u go, the more damaged ur hair is. I was using just 20 volume and red, then went to dark purple, and it fried my hair so badly that I had to cut hair I was sitting on, down to a short Bob chin length. Darker is better and less harmful to ur hair, plus adding some conditioner to the dye mix will help as well as hot oil treatments, and coconut milk. Jbh

Asked by: psychokitten
40 Volume developer works best. Make sure your hair also isn't freshly washed as the color won't stay as long as you want.

Do I need solution for this kind of dye and what number 10, 20, or 30

Asked by: Monyroy42
Yes, you need some cream developer. I use 40 volume because I feel like the color is more brilliant when I do. It's really a personal choice. But I would use at least a 20.

Do u have to have an developer when applying this product to hair all I have is permanent creme hair color and that's it

Asked by: Wooskii85
Yes, u need a developer. The darker ur hair, the higher ur volume. I used a 20-30 and have natural black hair. Its not a good brand and or color to use long term (it will fry ur hair and will fade fast.) I switched brands and found a better color.... i now use brand: ion, permanent brights (permanent) radiant orchid with a 10 volume developer. Its color is more vibrant and prettier as well as lasts longer. Indoors its a pretty dark purple, in the sun, it has really pretty slight pink highlights without all the extra coloring ;-) Hope this helps, Missy

Can you use a 20 V cream developer with the popping purple on my granddaughters untouched hair

Asked by: Flolo523
You could probably get away with it. Although, 10v is what’s recommended and would be less harsh. Especially on virgin hair. If her hair hasn’t been touched it’s more than likely strong enough to handle 20v, however, everyone’s hair is different. So just proceed with caution and keep an eye on her hair to see how it’s handling it.

Is a soft pruple

Asked by: Meggie 19
I used the Indigo and the Sangria pop and both were the color that was on the box so I think the purple will be about shade seen on box. Not really soft purple. If you have light colored hair may be lighter but if you have brown hair would be a darker color

What can I use at home to remove previous color

Asked by: aprilrose816kc
The best way to get the most vibrant, true color is to start with bleached hair. If you bleach it first, that should get rid of any previous color.
