Rated 1 out of 5 by from Horrible THIS PRODUCT IS THE WORST. MY HAIR IS ORANGE. if you’re using this brand, get the box that says Creme Lightener where the HLA+ is. It is amazing. I use it every time but accidentally grabbed the wrong one this time and thought I’d use it anyway. MY HAIR IS NOW ORANGE AND IM MAD AND CRYING.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Superior Product! This is the most gentle, and gorgeous color and without the harshness of bleach. I used the 40 V. Ultra Bond Developer with the Ash Blond. I love the results; from a level 7A to a level 9-10A. No damage; silky well conditioned hair and no breakage.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worst hair color I got this hair color because my old fave was discontinued. Do not use this. It deposited so much purple in my hair that it turned it gray. Plus it's super strong. I have scabs all over my scalp from using this. Worst hair color ever tried

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Use something else! Bought this to do my roots. Didn't lift as much as it should have, and took WAY longer. My hair normally lifts very easily, so I was shocked when it didn't. I left it in for the maximum time on the package (1 hour), and it STILL isn't light enough. And, instead of toning, like it says it does, it just threw random blue streaks in my hair. (If it was a blue band at the color line, I would assume I just left it on too long. But, no. It's chunky streaks in random places where it was on.) Will NOT use again! Not a salon pro, but have been coloring my own hair since middle school. Using Sally for 10 years now.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from more damaging than powder this damaged my hair more than normal powder bleach and only lifts 3 levels

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice tone! I received this product for free through Influenster to try and i have to say these timers are amazing! I tried the pearl blonde shade and it toned my hair to a beautiful icy shade! I have bleach blonde hair and from now on i will be toning with this shade to remove all the yellow!

My hair is box dyed to a 7g and I want to add highlights, maybe 2 or 3 shades lighter. Should I use this or the Ultrabond lightener? Can I use either with 20 vol for the least amount of damage?

Asked by: Gigi123459
Hi! Great question! The entire UltraBond collection is great! The lightner is designed to be used with 20 Volume in foils however you may bump up the developer for on scalp application. If your looking for the the most protection I would recommend the HyperLift Violet or Ash depending how gold your hair is. These work brilliantly for giving you a good clean blonde without the brassiness. If your hair is more orange go for the Ash if it's more yellow go with Violet. The ideal mixture of these are on a 1:2 ratio up to a 30 developer. Process 35 to 40 minutes. Always follow the manufacturers directions as well as the self knowledge of how strong your hair is.

I'm in my 40s and going gray. My hair is normally medium brown. My roots are about 1 1/2" at this point and driving me nuts. Could I use this to get my hair a uniform color of maybe med blonde? To make the roots less noticible in the future?

Asked by: Gray Angel
This should work for you. I am in my 70's and use the ash shade, I think that the other shade might also be good. Do the roots first and the the rest of the hair with what is left in the container. It calls for the special 40 developer, it it at the same time.

Is this product considering a bleach? And it can damage the hair?

Asked by: Anishoara
This product is a high lifting color. So it is not bleach. Ideally you would have natural hair and would use 1 part color to 2 parts 40 volume developer to achieve the lightest level of blonde. From a stylists perspective it's hard to say whether I think it is more or less damaging than let's say bleaching with 10 volume . Any and all color has a certain level of "damage" because its is changing the hair. But I have many clients who prefer the way their hair feels after coloring because it gives them longer lasting styles and shine. I think the main benefit of using a Highlift color is that it will lift and tone in one step . And with the new Ultrabond line they have created a bonding technology to help keep the hair stronger while you process . When I use their creme lightner for highlights I can tell a huge difference in how many clients hair feels afterward.

Can I use this with 10 volume to deposit on pre-lightened hair? (I would just place it mainly on roots and leave on for about 3 minutes or so)

Asked by: hairproductfan
What results are you hoping to achieve? If your hair did not lighten enough in the first round you could use a lower volume of developer with these and just watch for desired results. If your hair is already a pale blonde I would instead suggest trying the silver or pearl (or I personally like mixing the two together) They are from the toning demi line in AgeBeautiful and are much gentler on the hair than lifting again. Those would help cancel any extra warmth in the hair but not lighten further . If I can answer any other questions please feel free to ask!

Can you use 20 or 30 volume. I dont like using 40

Asked by: Kdr 1234
Yes, you can use any of the volume levels. I actually split 20 and 40 last and got great results.

Can you use straight to do a highlight on previous highlighted hair with regrowth?

Asked by: KKuts765
This product can be used on and off the scalp. If your hair is on the lighter side, say medium light brown or lighter, then this would be a great alternative to using bleach for your highlights. If your hair is on the darker side the Hyperlifts may not lift it as light as your previous highlights if they were done with lightner. Hyperlifts lift up to 4 levels and they tone in one step. You could also look into the new UltraBond creme lightner. Which can lift up to 9 levels lighter. Then follow up with a toner.

I bleached my hair yesterday and it lightened about 4-5 levels. It’s at a like hint of red brown/blonde and want to get it to either a ash light brown or ash dark blonde. I don’t want to bleach again. Will this product lighten and remove the red/orange.

Asked by: KimberlyRager
Hi there Kimberly! Hyperlift colors like this one can lift your hair an additional 4 levels when used with 40 volume developer. That being said if your hair is currently uneven you may still get uneven results. Darker spots being lifted to darker colors. Hyperlifts are a great alternative to bleaching again but we always suggest doing a strand test. My suggestion being that you pick a small piece of the darkest part of your hair and lightest. And test it out. Of the hyperlifts I suggest either the HLA or HLV. Both help conteract warm tones in the hair. The new bonding technology helps maintain the strength and integrity of the hair. I highly suggest the UltraBond Shampoo and conditioner for maintaining afterward the strength of your hair . I hope this helped!

is this product just for off scalp

Asked by: dixie chick
Hi! I'm the Zotos Professional Community Manager. The Ultra Bond Hyper Lift Crème Color may be used on and off scalp. It is a bleach-free lightener that lifts & tones in 1-step; it’s similar to AGEbeautiful High Lift Liqui-Crème Color, with the added benefit of built-in bonding and up to 4+levels of lift. For optimal results always use with Ultra Bond 40 Volume Developer and a bowl and brush application.

What product can I get to replace what I was using... redken color gels clear with 40 volume for touch ups?

Asked by: Ld1244td

I have very light hair already (almost white) Will the hyperlift CLEAR tone it as well so it will be completely white or only lift a bit? I have toner in as is.

I have dark brown hair I want to go to One shade lighter

Asked by: Luli2456

Im already blonde, to keep my white color, what of this 3 I have to buy?

Asked by: PGMNYork

I have used several different red/brown tones in the last year, most recently 5RM.  Would the clear work well to help remove some of the color from the ends before trying to get back to a true 5G or 6G so I don’t get super dark ends/lighter roots?

Asked by: JulesMMM

This is probably a dumb question but...Can I use clear after my 4RR to add shine? If so, do I need developer?  Which developer.. If not appropriate, would you please recommend something to add shine?  Thank You.
