Rated 1 out of 5 by from Smells hella weird and doesn't colour that well I'm returning this. It was more expensive in the store, btw. 21 bucks vs 18 online. It smells like some kind of weird plastic. I mean, I guess that makes sense since it's hair wax. But I don't like it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really bad recommendation from a seller I wanted a better product than a spray to color my daughters' hair. The seller in the store highly recommended this one, so I bought 2. Talking with a friend she told me she had one and she used just once because the result was awuful. So she gave it to me and I tried it on my youngest daughter. I'm so regret. Her poor hair was so stiff, hard, opaque and went out when I brushed it!! I'll return the products and I hope don't have any problem with that.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Do Not Use I bought this for Halloween, I thought it would be a good alternative for the cheap hair spray. The color I got was orange is that makes a difference. I will never get this again, I took it back. I was getting ready for a Halloween party, I followed the instructions. Dry, clean hair. First off, it wouldn't spread easily through my hair. It matted it so bad! It says you can brush it for a softer look. No. Sooo much of my hair came out! I had to get a new brush too because the orange wouldn't come off of it. And I used half a bottle of shampoo and conditioner just to get it out! Even then my hair felt weird for days! All that mess before I ever got to my party. I'll go with cheap Halloween hairspray before trying this stuff again.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Should’ve read the reviews before buying 2 jars... I saw this being advertised on the Sally instagram a few months back and thought this was the best thing ever! I finally got it on a whim and I was super excited to try it... Saying I was disappointed is an understatement. I’ve used pastes, waxes, and pomades before so I thought it would feel the same. It’s very thick and tacky and doesn’t spread evenly on the hands, much less on your hair. It left patches of color on my hair so I tried to brush it out to even it and it just came off completely. The color comes out in particals/flakes but it leaves a film on your hair, making it feel extremely dry and stiff. But it does glow under a blacklight, as advertised.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not worth it Bought this for a halloween costume. It dries too fast and if you even touch your hair after its dried you will get flakes of color all over yourself. It dries hard as a rock. And it isnt even a strong color payoff. Packaging says that itll wash out but it won't I've now showered twice and tried to wash it out probably 7 times but my hair still feels like I have gunk in it and I'm still getting color out. I also cant get it off of both of my hairbrushes so I'm having to replace those as well. It is a complete mess to work with. I don't why this is $18. Those color hairsprays are so much cheaper, you get so much more color from them and they actually wash out in one try.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Horrible! I was Wilma for a costume party and wanted orange red hair for just one night. I put it in my hair and instantly my hair turned hard and nearly impossible to work it. After applying and then brushing I look down and there are flakes EVERYWHERE!!!!!!!!!! I mean EVERYWHERE!!!!!! I ended up with perfect Wilma hair so that part was good. Then we get home and I start to wash it out. I shampooed about 10 times and I still see red/pink water rinsing out. I conditioned 3 times and my hair, normally very soft, feel like its coated in wax and feels like straw.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disaster and total waste of money Turned my hair into straw which looked awful, and I couldn’t brush out the tangles... brushing my hair just left purple dust everywhere and ruined my brush. I had to wash my hair and after one wash I can still feel the waxy build up left from the product. Not sure I’ll be able return it, as it is opened and used....but I really want me money back! Especially because I now have to buy to a new brush!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for Everyday life and stage! I needed bright yet temporary hair colors for a wild, colorful, otherworldly kids stage production with over 100 sets of hair. I am lucky to have family that leads in the hair care/color world to recommend the following to me, the hair muggle. The gal at Sally’s really took it to the next level though. These temporary products were versatile and worked great for everyday stage/life. I was pleasantly surprised how well each color read on stage as well as washed off hands and hair. https://www.sallybeauty.com/hair/hair-color/temporary-hair-color/color-bombz-temporary-hair-color-spray/BTZ11.html We used all colors. I won’t go through them all, but quite a few crossed over or bumped other colors than labeled. Ruthless Red has a gold like metallic finish. I used it as fire orange. Air Head Pink great base. Almost orangey. Really pops the Purples. Gunmetal is a stunning pastel silver. The glitter was also gorgeous. I stayed with the Sultry Silver Glitter for a severe look on the part and a finisher. The Party Topper glitter option was far more subtle and suggestive. The one issue: The glitter smell is very potent. This was a challenge using it on children. I remedied with a light hairspray to cover the smell directly after because the smell lingered & kids rightfully complained. Thankfully, once on stage, they were far away from the audience. Unfortunately, though beautiful in effect, this will sway me from using it again for any intimate or youth setting. For super dark hair I was referred to use American International temporary highlight spray in icy white (platinum in desperate times) as a base, like a nail primer. It worked great under the Beyond the Zone sprays. https://www.sallybeauty.com/hair/hair-color/temporary-hair-color/temporary-color-highlight-spray/STREAK1.html Then, a savage stage parent went rogue on a full bag of unopened sprays, so we used temporary hair makeup poser-paste’s from Paramore’s Hayley Williams line, Good Dye Young. *I have heard great things about the entire line. https://www.sallybeauty.com/hair/hair-color/poser-paste-temporary-hair-makeup/GDYNG1.html While pricier, my team completed over 110 looks with plenty left over. These little jars were super multifunctional, smell great & though thick textured, can be brushed & ironed through! We spanned from cascading locks of pink/purple iron curls to Neon orange wacky colored spikes. I used my hands to apply for time & concept. Impressively, very stained, caked hands didn’t transfer from color to color use or anything I touched once dried and washed off completely with soap and water! For less to no mess, the end of a tooth comb works as a great scoop & the comb works well for spreading & evening out. As suggested on the bottle, a little goes a long way / more product = more color. For dark to black hair and variety, the paste worked great as a color & texture base. I used some of the surviving color sprays on top to amp the brightness. https://gooddyeyoung.com/poser-paste/ Overall, I really stretched each of these products beyond their normal use or capacity for a big stage production with a very specific look, color and depth perception. The feedback was great on and off stage. I will note that some kids slept in the color and came back next day with decent pigmentation intact. I did not have any reports of color bleeding on pillows, clothes, etc. Most importantly, these products washed out easily with 1+ shampoos. Even blondies with royal blue & redheads with neon green stripes. The intended use and natural beauty of the colors and subtlety of the spray and paste is more than likely what consumers are purchasing for. The pastel, ombré, natural rainbow colored look is easily temporary, affordable & achievable. Have fun & enjoy the rainbow connection

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great if you know what to expect! I think this product has so many negative reviews because people expect it to feel like regular hair that was dyed with semi permanent color. It's temporary color that sits on top of the hair... they call it paste for a reason! I like to apply it and then GENTLY brush it through for a more natural and blended look. There really is no way of applying it without making a mess of your hands so if that bothers you, use some gloves. The colors can also be mixed which is awesome! Great product!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Yuck I bought this to use on my gray hair for o pop of color. It was messy to use, and I didn’t like the smell. Once it dried my hair felt like I had used a can of eighties hair spray. It was stiff, and when I tried running a comb through it I had a hard time. Also the color came flaking off and made a mess. Once I combed it most of the color came out. I would not buy this product again.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Burning money has better payoff I bought this and was very excited to try it. I figured it wouldn’t be great on my curls but I wanted to give it a try. This. Was. Hot. Garbage. The application process was impossible. It dries way too fast and makes your hair unbrushable. It gets everywhere and smells awful. The color payoff was patchy as well. I was upset and defeated and decided to wash it out. I used hot water and shampooed twice to be sure the color was out. I always pinch test my hair to be sure it’s clean and after two shampoos it felt greasy. I decided to go in for a third and it felt a little better so I toweled off and my roots ARE MATTED DOWN WITH OIL. My hair feels ruined by a temporary product and I’m so disappointed. I guess I’m wearing a hat tomorrow.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good for temporary use! There are some mixed bag reviews here. I did NOT put this all over my hair, just at the front and it works for that. It smells nice. It is VERY sticky. Very sticky. I didn't take a brush to it as directed, as I was afraid my hair would pull out! I think this product is good for someone like me with some interest in adding a bit of color, but not all over. The hot pink color looks good on my blonde hair. I can imagine darker hair doesn't pull color as well without bleaching it. I am curious about the blue colors now. I wonder if they hold color okay. I think the colors are more meant for lighter hair.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fun, temporary color! I don't usually dye my hair, so I bought this because it's temporary, and will come out quickly. It is very thick and does stain your hands, but it comes off your hands with soup and water. Very easy to use and just a fun product to use if you want an extra pop to your hair! The only thing I don't like about it is how crunchy it makes my hair feel. I know it's wax based and will feel like that, but I was hoping it would eventually dry and become softer.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from My hair feels gross I was beyond excited to try this out. I am constantly dying my hair and would love to be able to change it every week, I thought this would be great. I applied this to my hair and immediately wanted to cry. It was a mixture of clumpy and dusty. It left my hair looking dirty and feeling dirty. It stained my hands red, even after washing. I tried brushing it thru in hopes it would distribute and look good, it didn’t. My hair feels disgusting and all I want is to shower. You can’t even see the color, but if you try and run your fingers thru your hair, or even you hair brush, it stains them. And you can feel the residue on your hands. All in all, I was beyond excited for this, and I was left disgusted and disappointed.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Nothing but extra work and no good results I was very disappointed in this product. I followed the directions on the package, but in the end no product or color stayed in my hair. It flaked off while applying and when brushing for a smoother look, it came right out. The only thing it did leave was a waxy covering in my hair that took a week or two to get out. Eventually, I had to use a whole box of baking soda mixed with water on my hair to remove it completely. Absolutely do not recommend.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not great I was super stoked to try this but it ultimately left me wanting more. The jar is so small! I had to use a huge glob to even get the results I wanted and the color still wasn’t what I wanted. I put it on my ends and brushed it through to make it look softer and it made my hair feel dry and brittle. What started off as a good hair day was totally ruined by this product. It’d be so much better if the formula wasn’t so drying.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It's amazing! I love it!! I'm taking a break from dying my hair, but I miss my colorful head sometimes, so I use poser paste for a day, and I wash it out when I take my shower, no damage left on my hair! I can have any color any day, I love it!

How long does the color last?

Asked by: Merril24
It depends on how much you use but since it brushes out and washes out it last until your next shampoo its paste in texture and the more you use the more vibrant the color I tried the blue i wanted to be more of a tint i applied a very liberal amount throughout my wholehead with a boar bristle brush to help evenly distribute the color, fyi use a brush your ok with just for this color it can get messy but the color was pleasing and easy to control the shade by simply brushing out the excess color...so depending on say a persom with an average could go about a week and a half or two weeks by the end it would still be visible but some fadind would have probably occurred and you may want to reapply.

Will this color rub off on your clothing

Asked by: Anonymous
Poser Paste dries pretty fast so you shouldn't have to worry about it rubbing off. But when brushing or combing it, it tends to create a "dust" so just be aware of that.

Will the color show bright and intense on black hair?

Asked by: Connie82
Yes! Poser Paste is a product that sits on top of your hair allowing it to show up vibrantly on all hair colors. You can layer the product for more vibrant intensity! xx dye happy, Becca from Good Dye Young
