Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love it, tried most of the line Pastel Lilac- beautiful color, lasts 4 washes in cold water w/ sulfate shampoo Pastel bubblegum- beautiful color, lasts 3 washes in cold water w/o sulfate Electric teal- good color (picture), lasts 5 washes in hot water w/ sulfate Pure purple- beautiful color, lasts many washes (3 months) in cold water w/o sulfate Hot pink- good color, lasts 4 washes in cold water w/ sulfate shampoo Neon Purple- same as pure purple Overall review: I am in love with this line and I use it on many clients. It is very easy to use and has never been patchy or lacking in saturation. I do not find that it has a bad odor. It's also very conditioning. I plan on continuing using it.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Bubblegum Pastel Pink Ironicallly, I bought the dye because of the bad reviews! I have been slowly trying to go white blond. I knew it was going to be a journey as I have done this in the past. I just wanted a cute pop of pink because I was going to a family reunion. My roots are a beautiful buttery blond and it has an ombre effect so my hair was about a level 7-8 at the roots and the rest of my hair (pixie undercut) a white blond. I mixed the color with white conditioner and did a strand test. After 10 minutes, I was pleased with the color. The roots were a beautiful rose gold that melted into a beautiful light pink. Based on the strand test, I used the mixture. Within 5 minutes,I noticed it was turning muddy pink on the roots and bright neon pink on the lightest blond. I immediately washed the color out. It would not budge! I tried baking soda and antidandruff shampoo. It's what I use to force fade and remove fashion colors from my hair, which I've been doing for years. After reading the negative reviews about this color not sticking or not showing up, I decided to get this instead of Manic Panic Cotton Candy because I know that color does grab and stick for months and I just wanted something very temporary so I didn't have this transitional blond at the reunion. I ended up having to do 2 bleach washes to remove the color and 3 weeks later, I still have light pink streaks throughout my hair. My hair broke off because of being overprocessed to get my color back to something not awful. I gave 2 stars because it does color your hair and sticks, but wow, even mixed with white conditioner, it still turned a very bright not pastel pink. I know my hair is porous, but this color was way off. If I hadn't done a strand test, I'd say it was my fault completely because my hair is porous and probably should have used a protein filler. I know hair color can be wonky, but this was way past the wrong color it should have been based on the strand test. I really wish Sally's would sell Jerome Russel Punky Colour. I've never had a color disaster with punky colours. I wish I had taken pictures, but I was in a hurry to correct this disaster before our family reunion. I will also say, what the heck was I thinking trying a new color right before an important event! Thankfully, my hair is very resilient so the breakage was minimal and my pixie still looks great. I'm growing it out to an undercut shoulder length bob and Kristi is still going to get there without much of a delay. I use Cantu Anti-Break oil, Doogro stimulating growth oil and coconut oil. I use the Cantu on my hair while it's damp after it's dry, I use the Doogro and massage it into my roots. Before bed, I use pure coconut oil and put Onion a Silk sleeping cap. Yes, it's a chore, but my hair has been growing like crazy with this layering of oils, no heat styling and deep conditioning masks once a week. Of anyone has made it this far into my long review, I realized I should mention that my hair is normally coarse and very thick caucasian hair. My hair craves moisture and ethnic hair products has made my hair much stronger and healthier. Bottom line on this product,it's a no go for me. However, for those who want a pink that stays, give this a go!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this Product Hair looks Great! I recently got my hair colored blue and purple at a salon. I am a dark brunette so they bleached my hair at the salon before coloring it. I was very happy with the color but it began to fade fast and after three weeks most of my color faded and i was left with blonde hair. I began looking for a semi-permanent hair color in blue and ran across this product. I used the midnight blue color and applied it in sections on my entire head. I let it sit for about an hour and then rinsed it out with cold water, then I used Fructis color shield conditioner after rinsing the hair color out. Once I dried and styled my hair I couldn't be more happier with the results. The color was on point and all the blonde I had from the fading of the previous coloring is gone. I think bleaching or lightening your hair is a must before using this product if you want the color to pop. Also, I didn't shampoo my hair after coloring I just used conditioner and I probably won't shampoo my hair for 72 hours. Overall, I'm very happy with the product and will keep an update on how long it lasts. I wish I had some pics of before I colored my hair with One 'N Only but unfortunately I don't. The first pic is my color right out of the salon. The next 3 pics is the color of my hair after using the midnight blue from One 'N Only.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It works I bought this yesterday and dyed my hair the night I got it, my hair was a white blonde to begin with and it turned out beautiful. Now when I washed out the dye it stayed in my hair it said 6 to 8 washes and even on my first wash, the color was still vibrant. I would buy this product again!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from NOT SEMI-PERMENENT!!!! I bought this colour expecting a light colour for 1-2 weeks. I have light bling hair and the colour wasn’t beautiful for 2 weeks but faded to a light blue. When I went to a hairdresser to wash it out IT TURNED GREEN. This product is not semi permanent and stains your hair. My hairdresser has seen this happen twice with this product. Do NOT buy if you want a short term hair colour

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This color is amazing over bleached hair! When I bought this hair color I did not have high expectations of it turning out very well, but I’ve used the permanent color in this line and loved it so I took a chance. It comes out of the tube the perfect consistency which was nice, the color I usually use is very thick. Even though the consistency is nice it does not seem to go on evenly-so if you do buy this you’re going to want to make sure you comb your hair after you apply the color to make sure you covered everything. (This worked well and took care of that issue for me, but I also colored my very long hair myself so that could’ve been my issue). I used electric teal on top and pure purple underneath. After I applied the color I was feeling ok about it, a little apprehensive because of how it looked..and then I started cleaning up. Generally when I wipe down the counters afterwards whatever drops of color come off easily, that definitely was not the case here. I might have to bleach my tub a few times to get this stuff out. I went ahead and shampooed my scalp after rinsing, this surpringly did not stain my scalp. This is the brightest color I’ve ever seen.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Doesn't stay It will only stay in my hair about 3 days. Normally I will by ion and ion stays . I did a ion light blue to this purple. The purple didn't stay. At 1 point after it coming out in about 3 days even without using shampoo on it. I put then the light blue on all of my hair and covered half with purple. Thw purple still washed out and underneath was the ion blue unfased or even tinted by this purple. It is the wort stayong hair dye I have ever used.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Lasts longer as a peekaboo I bought the midnight blue and pure purple. I started with the blue, because I was told it's easier to go blue-to-purple. I was also warned blue fades to green, ok. I have an asymmetrical pixie cut and I dyed the undercut, the short side faded to green with the first couple washes, and under the longer side has stayed green (albeit a lighter blue) longer. I'm 2 week in, maybe 5 washes (with their One n Only color shampoo), and I'm redying. Not quite what I expected. If you are doing an all-over color expect to redye fairly often. If you are doing a peekaboo color it should stay fairly nice for several weeks.

Does it work on black woman hair

Asked by: Kristic1224
Yes it does, I'm black and have bought the electric teal color. I bleached my hair because my natural color is a really dark brown. I put the electric teal on and it looks amazing. I always get compliments and of course we're blessed because the color doesn't wash out easily from our hair. I've literally colored it a year ago and just do touch ups on my roots and it looks like i just colored it.

I want to dye my hair purple but I dont want a pink or red base I would like a blue base, I was thinking of mixing the blue with pure purple but I have not tried this dye or those colors before and would like to know if anybody else has ??

Asked by: Amber209
I used the Pure Purple by itself (on pale yellow lightened hair), letting it sit for 30 min. I ended up with magenta colored hair. At the suggestion of a stylist friend I went over it with the midnight blue, letting it sit for 25 min. It became the pure grape purple that I was going for. For redyes I'm just using a mix of the two colors rather than dying it two different times. I hope this helps.

I want to dye mine the lilac color. It was really dark red but I just bleached the. My hair is like a burnt orange. I can’t bleach it anymore my hair is really dry. Will the lilac cover the burnt orange? Or will I have to wella charm tone it before hand.

Asked by: 1mommof3
I'm not a beautician, but dye my hair religiously and have for over 30 years. I have dark hair and for any thing other than brown to really show up on my hair I have to bleach it. For 3 yrs I've used the purples on my hair. The lilac may not be as bright as you want it if your hair is only at the orange stage. I found it showed up better once I was able to get my hair almost white. Which was several bleachings. I wouldn't tone it as the color will be your toner. I hope this helps. One more note. I won't use any other colors but these. All other's I have tried rub off on you and your pillows. I also only wash my hair once a week to keep the color longer. Dry shampoo in between helps.

Is there any product I can mix with this to lighten , I.e more pastel pink?

Asked by: Alix1971
You can lighten any temporary hair dye by mixing it with regular conditioner! There are products out there that are specifically for mixing with temporary dye to lighten them, and other temporary dye brands often have their own, but in my experience they're a rip off. Plain hair conditioner is cheaper and works!

I dye my hair black, but I want it blue black, will it work?

Asked by: Zuleika Zu
I recommend you use the loreal hi color line. They have a blue black that will actually stay since they are all permanent colors.

For dark brown/blackish hair, will this work with out developer? Im not expecting bright purple but at least a pigment color purple. Right now, it looks like black hair and just looks purple in the sun. Any suggestions? Do i use developer

Asked by: Linaabee
I used this both ways. I lighten my natural brown hair and had the bold color. As my hair grew out I didn’t want to re-lighten it so I just apply it to my outgrown hair and you could see it in the light but it wasn’t as vibrant.
