Arctic Fox color is long-lasting semi-permanent hair color that bleeds less than other semi-permanent brands, and contains added conditioners. The dye contains none of the harsh chemicals often found in other dyes, such as peroxide, ammonia, ethyl alcohol, or PPD. • 1) Shampoo without conditioner and dry hair. 2) Use protective cream around hairline on ears to prevent staining. 3) Remove the bottle cap and inner seal. 4) Wear protective gloves, empty desired amount into a bowl. 5) Continue to use protective gloves to apply color evenly. 6) Leave color on hair for 30 minutes or longer. For best results, cover hair with plastic cap, process with heat/blow dry up to 15 minutes. 7) Rinse hair in cold water away from the face.

*Color will fade with each shampoo and may last up to 40 washes.

*Color may last longer depending upon the type, condition, and porosity of hair.

  • While bleaching is not always necessary, Arctic Fox colors will turn out most vibrantly on hair lightened to around a level 8 / light blond range or lighter. Pastel shades do require the hair to be lightened to around a platinum range (level 10) in order to achieve pastel shades.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Gets EVERYWHERE I’ve used a lot Arctic Fox dyes, and most recently used Purple Rain. The color is beautiful and I’ve gotten plenty of compliments, but I leave purple stains anywhere I rest my head. In the past with other colors, after a few washes I could sleep on a white pillow case (with dry hair) without worrying about living any color behind. That is definitely not the case with Purple Rain.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from AMAZING HAIR DYE I’ve been dying my hair bright colors for about four years now. This is the best colorful hair dye Ive ever used! Not only did it not leave a mess in the shower, the dye easily came off my skin. I’ve used other colorful hair dyes like splat. It would take nearly two weeks for the dye to come off of my skin. Thanks for providing such a great product!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Doesn’t work! My hair is a level 7 and I Mixed with an intensifier and left on for an hour and my hair barely changed colors. Washed right out 3 days later. DO NOT RECOMMEND!! Save your money!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this dye! This is a pretty intense pink and I loved it. I mixed it with purple rain for my bangs and did a sort of an ombre style with the rest of my hair. I loved the result. The pink seems to fade faster than the purple but it fades gracefully, it's a cute peachy color now after many washes (often in hot water because I hate cold showers.)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works Great! We used Aquamarine and we love the way it turned out! Used about half of a 4oz bottle and left on with a shower cap for about 30 minutes. Did not use any heat, but a month later and his hair is still very blue. Going to try Wrath next!

how long will the yellow last?

Asked by: jenna041202
It depends on your hair type. We purchased this for my husband with thick, porous, course curly hair and it lasted about two weeks. However, my thin, non porous strait hair holds arctic fox dyes for months.

I currently have joico color intensity purple in my hair. It’s balayage purple Highlights, I have had it for 2 years, and I wanna start doing my own color touch up. Do I need to use a developer or just add a little conditioner? Help!

Asked by: Kenzie88
Depending on the shade you would like to achieve, you can use conditioner or Arctic Fox in the shade Arctic Most, specifically formulated to lighten the shade. No developer.

do i need to bleach to do lavender im a blond rn

Asked by: yourmom123
I’m blonde and used the pink. I did not bleach first. I’m sure if you want the truest color on the box you could bleach first though

How much conditioner do I use to dilute to get a pretty pastel, almost rosy gold color?

Asked by: Foxymomma8402
Depends on the color you use. There's no exact measurement, you just have to add a little at a time until you get the desired color. When I dilute my dye to make it a desired lighter color, I just add a little bit, mix it, and take a small sample and put it on a white napkin to see the color. If it's too dark, I add more and continue to until I reach the desired color.

Looking to.die the underside of my hair a hot pink. Right now it is naturally medium blonde. Would the color take well? I also have volume 10 developer. Would mixing in the color with the developer help out or be pointless?

Asked by: Dani Girl
Never mix a semi-permanent color with developer. I would use a low volume developer and bleach and lighten what you want to dye, especially if you plan on using a light pink.
