Rated 1 out of 5 by from it never lasts... i have tried to like this brand. i really have. but it washes out unbelievably fast. even after the first gentle wash a few days after dyeing it fades to about half vibrancy. i’ve tried different colors months apart, i’ve let it sit overnight, i’ve tried different techniques... nada. if this stays in your hair just say you literally don’t shower and go

how many oz are good to dye my whole head purple with thick long hair

Asked by: gizelle101
If you aren’t going to dilute it I would say 2 8oz bottles just to be safe, if you don’t use the second bottle you can always return it with your receipt within 60 days of your purchase!

Okay this is a multiple question. One, I am wanting to do multiple colors at once so would you recommend bleaching first? Two, I have very thick hair and it is long about mid back. How many bottles of of my base color would you recommend?

Asked by: JackieS85
You will need to bleach if your hair is dark, or most of the AF colors won't really show up well on it. As to how many, it would really depend on how much of your hair you are planning on doing up as your "base", and what intensity. For example, if you're wanting to do pastels, you can actually dilute a stronger shade, and "stretch" it. (I have done this, using conditioner. It's less expensive that way!) Hope that helps!

I have previously dyed teal hair, and I still have some blue left in it. Could I get a good dye job without doing anything to it before I apply it?

Asked by: WoolooSnoozies
Yes, but only if you went with a darker color. Pink, for example, won't die over blue very well. When I had blue hair it faded slowly through a bunch of different colors for a couple months before I died over it. The colors may also mix, and look slightly different. You might want to do a test spot, and see what you come up with first.

I have medium brown hair and i wanted to use the phantom green. Would I need to bleach first?

Asked by: Yackie27
I'm afraid so, for the strongest green. While Arctic Fox does do a fair job of doing an overlay of color, it needs a light base to really shine. However, if you do bleach to improve your color appearance, know that AF is really, really a great conditioner- their products really give great color, and "healthen up" burnt hair nicely. Good luck!

how long does the product last?

Asked by: Anonymous
I used Aquamarine on bleached hair and it lasted for about 4 months being washed 1-3 times a week until I could truly tell it was faded. Pastels won't last nearly as long though.

Does hair work on black curly hair

Asked by: Amberrach
Hi! Doesnt matter if your hair is curly or straight or wavy. These bright colors are only super bright if you lighten your hair with bleach/developer. But because your hair is black , you will only see just a hint of color for a short time , in the sunlight.

Does this dye work for black hair?

Asked by: Sofia131
depending on the darkness of your hair and the dye, it might leave a very slight hint, but i do not recommend using it on hair darker than dark blonde.

My hair is a sorta medium brown. Do I need to bleach my hair before I use the shade poison? Or can I just mix 30 vol developer with the dye and get the bright red I desire?

Asked by: jordybug533
I use poison without bleaching and still get a great red. If you want brighter then i would bleach.
