Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best hair dye so far I have super dark hair that is very hard to bleach for one and is difficult to deposit color on for two. I have used the dark blue dye for several months now and have never had issues. It works so much better than something like Manic Panic or Arctic Fox, which doesn't dye my hair very well. This is very pigmented and lasts me for weeks! In comparison to Manic Panic, I was spending $20 (Needed two jars) about 2 times a month and having to dye every 2 weeks. Now I only spend about $6 and I use this only once a month! So glad one of the employees recommended me this!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not worth it! Followed instructions on the box, and the mint green did not even show through on the light blonde hair that it went on! It gave it a slight green tint but not worth the money. I have better results with the permanent hair dye with Wella just wish they had a hot a bright color line that was permanent.Wish I could get my money back as the girl who checked us out was not very friendly and said nothing about any thing we should do different than what the box says.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Semi Permanent? I got the light pink. I LOVED the color and was ready to rock it for months. I have very long and thick hair. I HAD TO BUY 12 TUBES TO GET FULL COVERAGE. Once it was done I loved the color. It was patchy in some spots but I have super blonde hair so it all just kind of blended together. 2 weeks later it has completely washed out. And I wash my hair 1-2x a week. I am so so so disappointed. I did not plan on spending $80 on these for it to last 2 weeks. Definitely not semi permanent and do not recommend for anyone with long and thick hair. Wish I could get my money back.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Horrible and ruins hair integrity! I normally use plant based dye only. I didn’t have time to order so I bought the mauve to dye for my Halloween look. It not only dried and destroyed my hair with almost no color payout other than a horrible brass color, it also caused handful of hair to come out when rinsing. Not a small amount but I full thick handful. Never again! I had perfect hair and now it’s destroyed! I’m naturally light so didn’t bleach at all. Only used this dye.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Never Again Started with very light hair to make sure that the color would be as vibrant as I wanted. Looked promising from the color in the tube (sample at the store looked jade green). Bought two tubes just to make sure, as well as mixed it with conditioner as the lady at the store suggested. Applied it and waited an extra 15 minutes, for a total of 35 minutes. Looked great until I started rinsing it out. Used cold water and no shampoo, but it didn't stick in more than half of my hair AND it ended up looking like a shamrock shake where it did stick. Complete waste of money. Have to re-dye it tomorrow.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from PURPLE IS BLUE!! So disappointed. Put the purple dye on my dark blonde hair and it came out straight up BLUE!! Wella needs to look at a rainbow color chart because they don’t know what purple is.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Color lasted 6 weeks We bought these paints to use on my daughter. She wanted rainbow hair. We used, red, fuchsia, blood orange, green, blue and yellow. All of the colors came out great and were spot on. We did have to touch up the yellow as it wasn't as vibrant as the other colors. We got a good 6 weeks out of the color and will touching them up this weekend before school restarts.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Absolutely awful I bought this today and mixed the light pink with maybe. Applied to a level 8 blonde and it came out to be a brassy orange. Left in for 55 minutes. I’m absolutely horrified. Waste of money and now I will need to go buy a different brand to cover up this colour

How do you get this color out of hair it's been almost 3 months and I still have color in my hair

Asked by: Maddie835
Color oops removes previous color without having to bleach your hair. Works, but it smells really bad.

Does it work on light/dark brown hair?

Asked by: Anonymous
Hi, I am afraid that without prelightening the hair FIRST- your colour will be muddy and barely visible. For best results you want to lift as much pre-existing colour from the hair shaftas possible, before applying the "paints". I hope this was helpful?

does this dye last only for 2 weeks? (i want to get the blue) ann also i have light brown hair so would that make my hair green?

Asked by: carolmtz
This product doesn't stay long and it's very hard to predict what it is going to do to your hair. I did it on bleached hair and it faded real fast...It might do hardly anything or it may give you result you do not like. You should try it on a small area underneath Al first. Best result are always obtained by seeing a professional colorist.

What is the difference between semi and demi permanent color?

Asked by: Stacey1031
Demi permanent uses a peroxide, which in results last longer. Semi permanent does not use a peroxide. It coats the hair cuticle, resulting in a short term color. *peroxide meaning, developer.

I use Wella light Auburn 445 I am looking to give a feminine kiss of Rose gold look to my hair, with out bleaching (drying) my hair. My natural in growing hair color is less than 25% gray and medium brown. Any advice for my goal would be helpful.

Asked by: Cassie62
I wouldn't dive into color charm paints. Your hair needs to be seriously light to take those colors.Try Ion Bright Whites Spring Blossom Toner with 20 or30 developer depending on how dark your hair is this can give you a nice Rose Gold.

Does my hair have to b bleached n order to use this product my hair is naturally black

Asked by: ROSE Vargas
Unfortunately you won't be able to see the results of any of these colors on naturally black hair. Not just because they are temporary, ANY color alterations will require you to lighten your black hair first before depositing another color. You should really be committed to whatever color you choose and have some really good advice on how to do this before diving in or some damage could occur giving you results you definitely don't want!

How many washes does it take a lighter?pastel colour to wash out of blonde hair at a level 8

Asked by: poppy3004
It depends....when I use a gentle shampoo and cooler water my color lasts up to 4 weeks. It has faded in as little as 2 weeks but it was due to more frequent shampooing and using hotter water.   I’ve used many brands and this one has always lasted the longest either way.

A couple questions: Do I need to tone my hair after I bleach or just put the color on? How many boxes will I need if my hair is to my mid back?

Asked by: ParkerOne
Not sure about bleaching and toning since I use this product on my natural color un-treated/un-bleached hair. As for how many tubes you would need, that will also depend on the level of thickness that your hair is, not just the length (2 might be enough, but its probably best to buy 3 tubes to be safe). Since I use this product on my shoulder length, un-colored/un-treated/un-bleached hair I use a lot more to saturate and I leave it on for several hours. If you plan to bleach first you may not need as much product and you definitely won't need to leave it on as long as I do. You still may want to ask a stylist what they would recommend regarding bleaching/toning prior to using this product.
