  • This color is ready to use, do not mix with peroxide.

For pastelized results dilute Paints shade with Clear to desired color intensity.

    DIRECTIONS:

    1. Apply Paints either on dry , clean pre-lightened hair or natural hair lighter than 9.
    2. Develop for 20 minutes.
    3. Rinse thoroughly until water runs clear.
    4. Shampoo and condition as required.
  • Paints shows best on light hair. If your starting color is darker than a medium blonde, you will need to pre-lighten hair for more noticeable results.

Want a more pastel look? Add Clear to pastelize any Paints shade.

When applying product, apply liberally and massage in with fingers. Don't forget to wear gloves.

Paints is a semi-permanent hair color so no developer is needed - just apply from tube onto hair.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from works great super easy to use and easy to apply. My tips took it well, though my friend's hair didn't hold it very well (her hair is admittedly fried, but we wanted to see what would happen) and it didn't damage my hair at all. Rated 5 out of 5 by from very nice color! The color payoff is great and I can tell it will last a while! It also doesnt have a bad smell like the usual hair dyes. I like that it will eventually fade away but not very fast! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from beautiful colors! this color absolutely popped magnificently. i love trying new colors in my hair and this mulberry blended perfectly. i did some highlights and at first it was a much brighter color than i expected but after about two washes it really mellowed out and looks AMAZING. this color worked way better and seemed to leave my hair feeling much healthier than other products i have used. Rated 3 out of 5 by from wella blood orange hair dye I really liked the look at first it was pretty bright But after I washed it it became dull,it would dye my pillow neck and clothes but if you wanted to do Wella hair dye Id recommend something permanent and not semi permanent cause is really messy. Rated 3 out of 5 by from Wella Hair Color I love the color but unfortunately it bleeds really bad. I tried this on my sister to dye the underneath of her hair and it bled onto the top half so we ended up dying it completely blue. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 3 out of 5 by from not vibrant Ive been bleaching and coloring hair for years. I had high expectations for this hair color. After bleaching my hair I applied the color and it wasnt as vibrant as I would have liked for it to be. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

i want to do a light orange. my hair is brown, half is currently bleached - roots have grown out. going to bleach it back to hopefully an ash or platinum color. how well will the coral show up?

Asked by: yams1521
For a semi permanent color to show, you'll have to get to three Platinum blonde. Semi permanent colors do not lift any natural color from your hair and therefore the color won't show unless there's very little color under it. Also, with the hair porous from being bleached, you will need to use great care in shampooing you hair or the color will wash out quickly.

how well does it cover gray hair? Do you have to leave it on longer?

Asked by: punkin47
If you do not use any developer it should cover it for a bit. This color can be very patchy and will fade quickly especially on grey areas.

Hola! I have a blonde pixie...the top of my hair is platinum and the sides are yellow - Im okay with the look, but for fall, and ‘back to work in a more conservative environment” Id like to darken it. Maybe caramel or brown? Any recommendations.

Asked by: Flammingjun
These are not really suitable for that. Prior to going brown, you need to do a “filler colour” since you stripped it to go platinum. So you’ll need to do a two step process. Use something in a Demi-permanent in a strawberry blonde, then you can go to your brown.

how does it work on dirty blonde hair and how will it come out when dyed?

Asked by: gianna565
I just did my 11yr old daughters hair with this. She has a darker dirty blonde hair and the color turned out great! I was worried you wouldn't be able to tell. But you definitely can. She picked the Red.

Will the color clear if my hair is a dark mulberry and I want to put clear on it will it come out clear???

Asked by: Anonymous
Will you hair color come out clear? No. The clear is just an additive to the color to make it lighter, like if you wanted a pastel purple instead of a dark purple.

Can I use the clear over my pre existing purple to lock my purple in and make it last longer or would adding the clear to my already semi permanent hair somehow mess up the color? I want to use it as a top coat to make my purple last even longer

Asked by: April971
in my professional opinion(master stylist since 2002),i would only recommend this brand of clear for diluting colors or creating pastel shades.tigi and pravana make a clear that would better suit you. and remember wash your purple hair in ice cold water with gentle color safe shampoo,no more than twice a week. you can also use color deposting conditioners as well

Does it work on Black hair? If not do you know any brands that do (semi-permanant)

Asked by: Lila1234
Do you mean "black" as in dark colored hair or "Black" as in "african" hair?
