Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lasts Super Long I bought the shades Crimson Storm and Wild Red to achieve a half red half black harley quinn look. I lightened my hair to a ginger-orange. Yes the dye is a bit messy, but these shades stuck to my hair extremely well and I didnt have to redye until about 3 months after. Color was super vibrant despite me not lightening my hair too much. Highly recommend these shades!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Orange sunset Washes out in 2 washes even on platinum blonde hair. I mean it’s worth the $5 but if you want a long lasting color don’t go for this one.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Horrible I left the color in for over an hour, washed out according to directions... and there is no color left in my hair. When the dye was drying in my hair, it was fabulous, but after I rinsed and dried, there was not a single spec left. Very disappointed

Thoughts on Wild Red? I bought it because it was so cheap and I haven't used it yet, I haven't seen too many people review the Wild Red shade. How long does it last, how was your hair quality afterward and how much could you cover with the whole bottle?

Asked by: LynnetteGMF
I didn’t care for this brand. I used 2 of their pinks and neither really did much so probably don’t expect much. And I doubt it will last long. My hair felt nice and soft after.

What happens if it gets in my eyes? I washed it and a bit got in my eyes. I'm worried about eye injuries.

Asked by: Amelia4ever
It should say somewhere on the packaging but, I believe, if you flushed your eye with water right after you shouldn’t have anything to worry about.

I have brown almost black hair and I want the red on my hair, but I don’t feel comfortable with bleaching it. How can I show off the beautiful color (with no bleach or lightener)

Asked by: Karie231
Coming from a former professional hairstylist...I would use a high lift permanent haircolor, such as a Clairol product. They offer a series of reds like Bodacious Burgundy, and other. This permanent haircolor requires the use of a higher volume of peroxide,i.e. 30 and 40 volumes. It will lift the darker haircolors enough to where the type of reds you're desiring will actually show and not just stain the hair strands. However, your best bet is to allow a professional hair colorist perform this service because then you'll have a definite result in getting the color you desire.

Will color still adhere if not bleaching hair first?

Asked by: TeriRyan
Ok ladies not sure if any of you are professionals or not but just to clarify based on some of the questions and answers I have seen, this is a Semi-Permanent hair color-definition washes out after 8-12 shampoos based on how often you shampoo your hair. DOES NOT change the composition of your cuticle meaning not permanent, will not have to be cut off or grown off or stripped to change. Also you DO NOT add peroxide to semi-permanent hair color or anything else unless the directions tell you to and the box provides it. Typically, semi-permanent hair color can be put on any hair that is any ethnicity textured doesn't matter. There is no chemical to change the hair. However, if your hair is, previously permed, colored, highlighted, bleach and tinted or colored, their is always potential, due to the porosity of the hair that it could grab the base color of the semi-permanent color your putting on it. But if you condition well and dont rinse it all out, dry the hair but not bone dry. Then apply the color comb it to the ends, put the plastic cap on leave on for the 30-60 mins depending on how dark or how long you want it to last. it should be fine. The less you shampoo it the longer the color lasts meaning rinse your hair in cold water when you shower not shampoo. Spray detangler to comb out if you want to last longer. The cool thing about semi-permanent is you can do it again pretty much as soon as it fades away. It does not hurt your hair nor do you have roots to deal with, assuming you are dealing with natural hair. If you have previously bleached hair and you are doing the crazy vivid rainbow colors this wash out so you can change as often as you want If you have been permanently coloring your hair with a color lighter or darker than the color you are putting on it than and you are either trying to grow out a color you dont want any more you can use this to mask your roots till it gets long enough your ready to cut off the old color so pic a color that blends well between the color your natural hair is and the color of the ends. Remember it is not permanent so you will have to reapply till you get it grown out enough you can live with it. The Clairol Beautiful Collection, blondes, browns, brunettes, and grays are great products for those wanting to get through till this covid thing is over to cover gray or camouflage roots till you get to your regular hairdresser. This will not hurt or mess up what you have. For those who love the crazy colors or just want to try something new since you dont have to go to work and no one will see it anyway, go for the Arctic Fox colors. The are not too thick and not too thin which is great so they are not to messy too deal with. My roommate begged me to do some crazy color on her hair while she is home teleworking. (She has naturally, dishwater blonde hair warm hues. It is long curly permed, and highlighted with a high lift blonde ion color 30vol permanent). I used some of the long Hi-Lite Wraps, two separate bowls and brushes, and just alternated 1/4 to 1/2 inch sections of the Purple Rain and the Electric Paradise throughout whole head left it on 45 minutes rinsed in cold water, it turned out beautiful. If you get the Arctic Fox and you know you will want to use the color or colors again get the bigger bottle, it is better price and you dont have to trash what you dont use. It is still good for more than one application. OK Good Luck have fun!
