Once I received it the box describes and shows a picture of dark hair being lifted a shade. Not for blonde. There used to be a henna for blonde. This is not it. Now I'm stuck with a product I cannot use

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Beautiful color healthier hair! Beautiful color! my hair was healthier after I used it. It was very messy but worth it! I Will be using this again. As I was putting it in my hair it stared to dry back to a powder which ended up on everything. Also the gloves are very cheap, one of them broke as I put it on the other one broke on the seem where I didn’t notice so my fingers were stained. I highly recommend getting your own gloves.

Would this be a good color to use on light auburn hair?

Asked by: Ricketspub
It looks like the color on the box may be a lighter shade than your own hair color. In that case you may want to consider lightening your hair first. If your hair is lighter than the color shown on the box it will deposit some color.

Can colors be mixed to create a custom color?

Asked by: Jellybean57
This is not hair dye so do not expect the hair color to stand out much. I use black to cover a few gray hairs I have in the front and apply it to the rest of my hair for the great conditioning properties it has. That’s the area hennas are known for hair thickening and strengthening. The color aspect may be seen for a few days or so in the sunlight.

I bleached my naturally brown hair (it came out to a auburn shade) and used a Semi-purple hue on it. It looks lovely but after a few shampoos, it is washing out very quickly. Could I use henna on my hair once it fades away (in about 1 month)?

Asked by: BeeGurl7
I don't see why not. But then I've never used non-henna coloring. I would think it would especially be no problem if all the other color had faded.,,,

So I’m really looking to try henna and this looks like a good price but a lot of comments on here are saying it isn’t all natural and has a lot of bad ingredients in it. Just curious to know how you figured that out since nothing else but henna is listed?

Asked by: Hannah Banana1
Henna does not come in colors per say, as stated above. THESE are not pure henna.

I use gel to hold my edges down and also have hair moisturizer in my hair. Should I wash my hair before using the Henna?

Asked by: lavender1224
I'm not sure since I don't use those products in my hair but I would shampoo my hair with a little baking soda added to the shampoo to remove those items first and wait until your hair is dry before applying the hair color.

Can I use this product after I perm my hair

Asked by: mscbellard
Yes you can but I would wait at least a week after. I would make sure you have at least one sampoo between also. Perms make your hair absorb color more quickly and you may end up with a really bright or dark shade quickly if you use right after a perm. The perm also makes the color last a lot longer. That is great if you like the color but can be very difficult to correct if you end up with a funky color. Good luck!

Will the violet dye work on dark brown hair and how long will it last

Asked by: Daltaamneh
I'm not a professional, but I had pure white hair from Chemo didn't want to use chemicals on my new hair used product dark brown, never had to touch up anything but roots. I went to black love it and again just roots. I have the violet I would suggest test piece of hair I usually leave in for over 35 to 45 minutes myself. Should have no problem taking to your brown hair. Love that color just doing a few streaks here and there.

I just purchased this product for the 1st time and I love it. It brought back my natural curls texture softness. I became allergic to Bejin when they changed the formula. I want to know can you save half of this product for 2 usage and how to keep it.

Asked by: kimtexas
I get two to three uses out of one box.  I try to guess about how much I need to do my roots with when I put it into a small glass bowl and very carefully add my water to it. Then I just fold up the package of unused powder and put it back in the cabinet.  I never empty it all and then try to save it.  You can always make more if you didn't prepare enough of it.

Highly allergy to chemicals in dyes. What black henna hair color you recommend?

Asked by: Tina Marie
If you are allergic to the chemicals in hair dyes..do NOT use this henna. This is a commercial product with all the usual chemicals. You need to use henna powder (organic is best) and indigo powder (also available in organic) and do the 2 step method to get a black color. There is no such thing as "black henna". The 2 step method is the only way to get black using henna. It's a process but it's worth it. Do some googling for organic henna/indigo powder online. :-)

does hair dye cover gray

Asked by: 4 BERNIE
Yes it does and the nicest thing is that I don't have to use the entire amount when I color my hair so it leaves some powder left over to do the roots later.

I dyed my hair and it’s extremly damaged actually cut off 4inches to short bob and it’s very delicate thin hair is this truest damaging or does it really cost your hair interested in the violet, thanks every bit helps!

Asked by: JordynP7
It does coat your hair rather than using peroxide. It probably won't damage it but you will not get a drastic color effect. I also tends to be rather messy to put in.You might also want to look at some of the other semi-permanent products like manic panicthat are easier to use.
