Rated 5 out of 5 by from I've been using only this dye This color is vibrant and it last. Like many others had said, this color does last. So if you like jumping to different colors every two weeks, i would not recommend this hair dye. I do not like to spend too much money so i like have a huge break between re-dyes. I spend 16 dollars a month on up keep.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Electric Teal Around january 25 i dyed my hair electric teal and at first alot of the color rinses out and i was scared that this color would fade quickly but NoO it stayed even if i use head and shoulders. Its been a month since ive dyed it and its still vibrant, its kind of faded like greenish but im fine with it and im having difficulty taking the color out. The fragrance is a bit too strong like this granny lotion fragrance but in a few washes the smell leaves. And also when you apply it, WEAR GLOVES I didn’t used gloves and it stained my hands blue for a week even when i tried everything to get the blue out my hands. Electric teal lasts quite a lot so this is best if you are looking for a permanent hair color to last months. I have a ombre blue on the tips so if you want to dye ur whole hair its best to use 2 tubes. But overall its worth it, the color is vibrant, longlasting, and easy to apply to hair just wear gloves and protect ur hairline and face from the dye as it will be difficult to remove.- me, march 1

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fell in love with this brand I originally started dying my hair vivid colors using the overtone system. Then I decided to try one of these and mixed it with conditioner to tone it down a little bit... IT WAS PERFECT.... I'm definitely sold! Decided to go teal this month from the Dusty blue I was before. So much fun!!!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Doesn't stick in my hair I left it in for the required time and when I rinsed it it wasnt emerald but more of a really light teal, and the first time I washed it it started to come out. My hair was bleached, kinda wasted $7

Rated 3 out of 5 by from This color is powerful - strand test is critical! I have naturally gray hair and rarely use chemicals on it. I love having a bit of color and I had used semi-permanent color before so I thought I's try this brand. I did not use a strand test and that was a mistake. This color is very powerful and impossible to remove, especially from my hair. The color was too bright for me and when I discovered that it was not fading I went to a salon. They used color-correcting shampoo to fade the color and eventually resorted to bleaching the blue. The bleach processed for 40-50 minutes. Because I wanted some of the color to remain they bleached using foiled sections. I ended up with a stunning color but I would have been better off go to the salon first and it would have probably been cheaper. A strand test is mandatory.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Good color but Great color great intensity and really good coverage. BUT IF YOU PURCHASE THE MIDNIGHT BLUE AND PUT IT ON BLEACHED HAIR **** BE warned that the blue will stick to your hair like glue. I put this dye on my hair almost 5 months ago and there is still blue in my hair! It says only 8 washes but please do not trust that

How do I touch up Pure Purple hair color? Do I use it all over?

Asked by: Snayazzie1
To touch up the color simply apply the color to all areas where you would like to retouch the color.

What developer should I use for dying my hair pink and purple? Also what bleach would be best?

Asked by: Sharonfine75
Sharonfine75, Please consult a Hair Color Stylist or one of our Sally Beauty Store associates to assess the condition and level of your hair so that you can be better advised on how to achieve your desired look.

Does this work on dark brown hair? I have dark brown almost black hair.

Asked by: TammyTanner
you would have to lighten your hair prior to using this .... My daughter has dark black hair I lightened it to a blonde and then used this for her color ... best of luck ...

How long does it last?

Asked by: Sweet quite
This question is difficult to answer as it seems to be different depending on the individual. I used hot pink on level 7 or 8 bleached hair. Left it on about 6 or so hrs and used heat as well. The color was beautiful and vibrant for about 2wks and then faded fast but its faded well I think and I still like it. I have to wash my hair at least every other day and sometimes everyday depending how work went (I'm a dog groomer) so for someone who can get away with washing once or twice a week this will probably last much longer.

I’m looking for a blue green teal to color my naturally white roots.  Will this product work?  Will it stain my scalp?  Is there another product you can recommend that will work if this one does not?  Thanks!

Asked by: Thrinacie
These products are great I've used them for yrs. Yes they will stain scalp and skinif not properly applied.. don't apply directly at roots apply abt a half inch up from the roots u want covered then used gloved hands and the foil sheets super cheap to separate your hair and apply color.. the hair must be bleached or light in color to get the color to stay. Leave in for 45 mins use a cheap disposable shower cap to protect your home clothes etc while u wait.. use heat if your able a hair dryer will work for the last 10mins of processing. Then rinse in cool water only!! Rinse twice and then use Aragon hair mask like $2..to rehydrate hair. Color stays & hair is healthy and vibrant. This is a process I have used for various hair types including my own. Good luck

Could the hot pink color be diluted to a bubblegum pink with conditioner? I have used this brand on multiple occasions but never the pink and I'm not sure of the color shade.

Asked by: Eddie935
I think if you don't leave it on as long. Just check a stand of hair underneath.

Can you use a clear color gel, like the one from wells to lighten up the purple to a more violet color

Asked by: ConnySForemes
You can use normal, non-colored conditioner to lighten hair dye. Be careful, though--it'll make the color lighter, but it won't make it bluer, if that's what you mean by more violet.

If I dye my hair black, could I use the blue to give it a pretty blue tint? I do not want a vibrant blue just a nice blue tint.

Asked by: JessHouTx
