Rated 3 out of 5 by from This color is powerful - strand test is critical! I have naturally gray hair and rarely use chemicals on it. I love having a bit of color and I had used semi-permanent color before so I thought I's try this brand. I did not use a strand test and that was a mistake. This color is very powerful and impossible to remove, especially from my hair. The color was too bright for me and when I discovered that it was not fading I went to a salon. They used color-correcting shampoo to fade the color and eventually resorted to bleaching the blue. The bleach processed for 40-50 minutes. Because I wanted some of the color to remain they bleached using foiled sections. I ended up with a stunning color but I would have been better off go to the salon first and it would have probably been cheaper. A strand test is mandatory.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Good color but Great color great intensity and really good coverage. BUT IF YOU PURCHASE THE MIDNIGHT BLUE AND PUT IT ON BLEACHED HAIR **** BE warned that the blue will stick to your hair like glue. I put this dye on my hair almost 5 months ago and there is still blue in my hair! It says only 8 washes but please do not trust that

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Beautiful color just washes out fast I got the hot pink. Its such a beautiful color but it washes out so fast. It bleeds easily and doesnt stick to the hair well like other colors. Maybe its just because its pink.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from DIDNT COME OUT. I bought this hair dye a little over a month ago and decided to dye my hair purple for Halloween (October 31). I dyed my hair Halloween night, keeping in mind that it was going to be out of my hair in a little over 2 weeks because it said it would come out in 6-8 washes. I followed the instructions exactly as they said and loved the color that it resulted in. It surprisingly showed up very well on my brown hair. Since Halloween, I've washed my hair almost every night. I found out I had an important interview on November 13 , but got my letter the friday before that. Saturday night-tuesday night, I stripped my hair with baking soda every night. My hair was so damaged after this that I had to get 4 inches cut off. It is now November 19 and my hair is still pretty purple on the ends. I recommend this to someone who wants the hair color to stay in their hair longer than the box said it's going to.

Does this work on dark brown hair? I have dark brown almost black hair.

Asked by: TammyTanner
you would have to lighten your hair prior to using this .... My daughter has dark black hair I lightened it to a blonde and then used this for her color ... best of luck ...

How long does it last?

Asked by: Sweet quite
This question is difficult to answer as it seems to be different depending on the individual. I used hot pink on level 7 or 8 bleached hair. Left it on about 6 or so hrs and used heat as well. The color was beautiful and vibrant for about 2wks and then faded fast but its faded well I think and I still like it. I have to wash my hair at least every other day and sometimes everyday depending how work went (I'm a dog groomer) so for someone who can get away with washing once or twice a week this will probably last much longer.

I’m looking for a blue green teal to color my naturally white roots.  Will this product work?  Will it stain my scalp?  Is there another product you can recommend that will work if this one does not?  Thanks!

Asked by: Thrinacie
These products are great I've used them for yrs. Yes they will stain scalp and skinif not properly applied.. don't apply directly at roots apply abt a half inch up from the roots u want covered then used gloved hands and the foil sheets super cheap to separate your hair and apply color.. the hair must be bleached or light in color to get the color to stay. Leave in for 45 mins use a cheap disposable shower cap to protect your home clothes etc while u wait.. use heat if your able a hair dryer will work for the last 10mins of processing. Then rinse in cool water only!! Rinse twice and then use Aragon hair mask like $ rehydrate hair. Color stays & hair is healthy and vibrant. This is a process I have used for various hair types including my own. Good luck

Could the hot pink color be diluted to a bubblegum pink with conditioner? I have used this brand on multiple occasions but never the pink and I'm not sure of the color shade.

Asked by: Eddie935
I think if you don't leave it on as long. Just check a stand of hair underneath.

Can you use a clear color gel, like the one from wells to lighten up the purple to a more violet color

Asked by: ConnySForemes
You can use normal, non-colored conditioner to lighten hair dye. Be careful, though--it'll make the color lighter, but it won't make it bluer, if that's what you mean by more violet.

If I dye my hair black, could I use the blue to give it a pretty blue tint? I do not want a vibrant blue just a nice blue tint.

Asked by: JessHouTx
There are blue black hair dyes.

My hair is currently a light blue color (was supposed to of been a Jade, but from bright red to this I'm not complaining) will the electric teal show up nicely? I want to try this due to the argan oil!

Asked by: Krystalmc314
As long as you lightened your hair to achieve the light blue you currently have, or started out blond, the electric teal will be a nice darker teal.
