• Apply to dry hair and leave on for at least 30 minutes

• Comb through to make sure it is applied evenly

• Do not rinse hair in the shower

• Once water runs clear, apply a thick conditioner to hair and rinse again until water runs clear

I have dark brown hair. I don't want to bleach it or lose my natural hair color. What colors can I do that will be vibrant?

Asked by: Bridgette9097
I would suggest dark reds/burgundys or purples in the semi-permanent range. You could also go dark blue, but it might interact with your hair colour and turn green-ish depending on the warmth of your natural hair.

How does the Alien Grey color work on salt and pepper hair?

Asked by: Anonymous
Hi! Grey hair can be very resistant to any hair color and even though it is light in color, it often needs to be pre-lightened or otherwise processed in order for Manic Panic Semi-Permanent Hair Color to work best. For best results with Manic Panic hair color, we recommend pre-lightening your hair first to a pale white blonde. This will not only help the color show up as vibrantly as it should, but it will also help hold the color in your hair properly. An even and toned level 10 platinum white blonde is required for Alien Grey to work properly. For any additional questions and step by steps, please feel free to email our Color Experts at customerservice@manicpanic.com where we are available to help you 7 days a week!

Since I have black hair would I have to bleach or do anything to my hair to have the blue purple and turquoise show

Asked by: naynay02
Hi! That depends on the natural color of your hair, the color of the dye, and your desired results. Darker or richer or really vibrant colors will add a subtle tint even to unbleached virgin dark brown/black hair and will only really be visible in the sunlight. However, if you want true to color, bright colors then we recommend pre-lightening your hair to a level 9, or higher, for a true color tone.

How if you can order for the same colors do you just have how was easy to get rid of them oh with what shampoo you can take it away if it’s only for a couple days

Asked by: Raven1397
This is a permanent hair color so you cannot wash it out in a few shampoos. Once a week I use it mixed in with my conditioner to receive a boost to my haircolor from my hairstylist.

My hair is currently a light blonde, I’ve been trying to go silver for a while ehat collire will work best ?

Asked by: Kaykaybear
Hi! Although some people’s natural hair may get a slight tint from some of our colors, we cannot and do not guarantee that the color will work properly unless hair has been pre-lightened. It is the porosity of the hair that determines whether or not natural hair picks up the pigments. The actual color of natural hair alone does not determine whether or not bleaching is necessary. Natural blonde hair may require bleaching to become porous just as any other hair color does. Bleaching hair not only makes hair light enough (a level 9 or higher) for the colors to show up properly, it also opens up the cuticles of the hair strands so that the dye molecules can be absorbed. An even and toned level 10 platinum white blonde is required for our silver dyes to work properly. We would love to help you with the process of using our product! Please contact our color experts on Instagram @manicpanicnyc anytime for more.

How long does this color typically last and will it color gray hair? Looking to use it in between box dye

Asked by: vicky31mom
Hi Vicky! Our Classic Manic Panic dyes last 6 weeks depending on porosity, how often you're washing (always use cold water), and the base color. Color may not last as long though in natural or virgin hair as it would in hair that's been lightened. Grey hair can be very resistant to any hair color and even though it is light in color, it often needs to be pre-lightened or otherwise processed in order for Manic Panic Semi-Permanent Hair Color to work best. If not wanting to bleach your hair, before applying Manic Panic, prepare the hair with clarifying shampoo, do not condition, and blow dry hair completely. This process will make sure the cuticle is open, dirt/oils are removed, and the hair is porous. If you'd like to try it out, we suggest doing a strand test on a very small section of your hair by the nape of your neck before applying the color all over. Please contact our color experts via email: customerservice@manicpanic.com we would love to help anytime!

if i have medium brown hair would electric lizard work on it without blech?

Asked by: duckduckgoose
Hi! Our Electric Lizard requires the lightest toned level 10 hair to work properly and show up vibrantly in hair. For the best results on brunette hair without bleaching we recommend our shades in either Vampire Red, Purple Haze, After Midnight, Enchanted Forest, and Green Envy. Results vary from person to person because everyone's hair is different, so regardless of which color you pick, we always recommend doing a strand test to see how the shade will show up on your hair. Asked by: Missy Mutt
Hi! Virgin Snow is a light violet toner that helps to neutralize unwanted pale yellow pigments and when applied to hair that has been pre-lightened to the necessary shade (very pale blonde level 9 or 10), the end result will be white hair. We would love to help you with the process of using our product! Please email us at customerservice@manicpanic.com anytime.

I bleached my mediumdark brown hair before dying it Vampire red. It came out a lot brighter than I wanted and 3 weeks later I'm still not sure to it. Can I dye over it with Purple Haze to expect a burgundy color or would it eliminate the red?

Asked by: Bribri17
Hi! In order to achieve swatch results and a vibrant shade you apply the color to a clean blonde base. You can use a clarifying shampoo to gradually remove the color if you do not wish to bleach the hair. We always recommend doing a strand test to see how the shade will show up on your hair before coloring all over.
