Rated 5 out of 5 by from Single Standout... Ultra Blue is probably one of the best silver/chrome toners I have found; in permanent version as well that gives these results. Multifaceted tones of holographic silver, purple and blue hues. The shine is stunning and the smell is probably the best of the ENTIRE Ion color line!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fixed my yellow hair I have used this twice since my bleach turned out yellow. It really toned it down to a pretty natural blonde. I just wish I could do it as a permanent rather than semi.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not impressed with Cool Ivory I wanted to write a quick review on the new Cool Ivory toner. I’ve used the other colors all the ones from first release and had great results. I wanted to try out a darker blonde toner and seen these. I picked up a few of the new colors. My hair is still yellow after using. My hair was bleached to a pale yellow with a little darker yellow in places. The toner didn’t change colors while processing and I left on for 20 minutes. After rinsing out my hair was pretty much the same color. Not impressed and will not purchase this color again. I gave 3 stars because I generally still like this brand and other colors.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great alternative to Wella Haven’t done my hair blonde at home in years. After I lightened my hair I went to grab my trusty wella toner but saw this instead and thought I would give it a shot since I’ve always had positive experiences with ION brand. I got one bottle of snow cap and one bottle of platinum lace. Mixed them together using 20 volume (directions suggest 10 but I was used to doing 20 with wella and grabbed without checking.) I left it on for about 20 minutes because I had some pretty heavy yellow tones and I think it worked great! Will be using purple shampoo to keep up, hopefully it lasts a decent while before I need to tone again but I’m happy with the results!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Toned perfectly I used this on my brassy level 9 hair and it toned it perfectly. Made my hair very dimensional and looks like I paid $$$ for salon highlights and an overall lift. Highly recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from These are great! I was a little scared to try these because one I know nothing about toning hair and two they had mixed reviews. But I tried them and got the exact silver color that I wanted! The cashier recommended I use the 20 developer instead of the 10 and it worked great.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Nooo Pictures* I wanted to like this so bad but it is not good. My hair is a level 9/10 and I wanted to tone some brassy spots in my roots. I avoided my natural root because I didn’t want it to lift and I saw reviews about it turning roots orange. Well I used Spring Blossom and it turned my hair cool violet but my roots hot orange. I’m bummed. I don’t know how to fix it it looks worse in person

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So grateful! I bought this a few weeks ago right before I bleached my hair to platinum. And I always end up with a slight yellow root. I have tried wella 18 before and because my hair is short its impossible for me not to get the toner on the rest of my hair which sucks up the purple wella toner. You helped me so much Transformer girl. I am going to get the Lavender Moon and not use the Platnum lace. I love reading these reviews. Thay are so helpful.

I was going for platinum and my hair is more blue how do I fix it

Asked by: Margaretgrochowalski
It depends on how blue your hair is.. if it’s just slightly tinted, you can use like an icy white toner mixed with developer to smooth it out a bit. Maybe do a strand test first to make sure it’ll work. Odds are, your hair will come out looking platinum/silver.  Best of luck!  (Also, i would use maybe a 25-30 vol developer just to give that blue a little extra lift. If you use a 10 vol it probably won’t do a thing!)

which color toner would best correct orange tones to my highlights and is this better than using purple shampoo?

Asked by: aylin0303
Lavender moon. I used two applications and it totally took out the brassy tones

I'm using ion color brilliance bright white creme toner in Spring I need to mix it with developer or just put it on? I'm bleaching my hair light blonde now and I want a very light icy pink moving throughy hair here and there.

Asked by: Mamabear1126
You need to buy a number 10 developer with most toner. Follow the instructions on the toner, only mixing just before you are applying the toner.

I use the 12.3 Ion permanent color on my hair and need a toner. What should I use.

Asked by: Sandy7492
You dye your hairs first with the permanent hairs color and then tone your hairs after.

Do I need to purchase a developer with this toner? Can I use this toner with a box dye developer? Does this dye work on curly hair?

Asked by: scottras
Yes you need developer. I don’t see why you couldn’t use a box developer, I just don’t use box products and it depends on what number or the percentage of the box developer. Yes I have curly hair and worked like anything else

Do I need anything else to mix with this before I apply

Asked by: Jojokay84
YES. toner is mixed at a 2:1 ratio. TWO equal parts developer for every ONE part toner. 20 volume is typical for this.

Is this a product that must be mixed with something or do you use by itself ?

Asked by: Leasoto714
It's lighter (bleach) in a creamy form, but it has to be mixed with developer (peroxide)
