Rated 1 out of 5 by from Makes it more brassy I wish I had read the reviews. I’ve been transitioning from red to ash blonde slowly and had just a bit of faint auburn left. The Sally’s employee recommended this as I have curly hair and she said the Wella toners ruin curl patterns. Huge thumbs down. My hair is orange. Ugh.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Horrible !! Don’t buy ! I had just gotten my hair to a light light blonde and I used this product thinking it would tone my hair To a light ash and nope. Nope. It turned YELLOW !

Rated 1 out of 5 by from It turned my hair blue Bought this as a toner thinking it would give me the more platinum blonde look turned my hair blue/ gray..very upset

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not lightest ash blond To my surprise this project is golden yellow in color and turn your hair that exact color. This would only be helpful if you were trying to add ash (green) to tone unwanted color but for most of us we read ash and think light blond no yellow. This just isn’t the case for this product. Save your time and money use wella

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this! If you are a brunette transitioning to blonde and dealing with the awful orange, brassy stage than this product is a life saver!!! I mixed the Cool Beige with my conditioner & applied to dry hair. 25 mins. later my orange (very orange) hair turned to an ash yellow. ❤️ I just ordered 3 more to get me through till my next bleaching stage. TY Sally Beauty’s consultant for recommendation!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I WISH I READ THE REVIEWS FIRST!! Any one with white, or gray, or lightest cool blond, this will turn your hair a funky yellow color. Its midnight and I wish I had time to wash this and try to put the purple "cool blond" lathering toner in this mess for an hour. So sad.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not for bright silver ashy blondes I have white/silver platinum hair, and when my roots come in they are a dark blonde almost brown. This product turned my hair a golden yellow. To anyone trying to achieve an ashy bright blonde steer clear of this product. I’d stick to regular purple shampoos and toners.

I have medium blonde hair and I want to go platinum again but can I do it with box dye and toner and no bleach

Asked by: Kayleigh76kn
Highly unlikely! The blond toner is amazing, however I have never achieved platinum status with just dye and toner

My hair is platinum/white with a bluish/grey very light tint to it. My natural hair is the same white color but with some black here & there. I want my hair back to just white without having to use any bleach. Is there a toner that I can use? Which one?

Asked by: jensen199
Wella t18 or t14 is whay iv had the best results with. I use either one or both an a small drop of 050 by wella its a silver addictive that will give you a sliver platinum but the first two i mentioned will work well also.

Light blonde want to make it look more golden

I have very light blonde hair , but I wish to enhance the blonde to make it look more golden color, will blonde brilliance golden cream oil toner help .?
Asked by: Midg
This sounds like too strong a product for what you are looking for. If your hair is already light blonde, you could probably use a Demi Permanent Toner with the brand's matching Developer Lotion, and when choosing the specific color, look for a 10 color level noted as G for golden. If you were starting with naturally dirty blonde hair, then to get more a golden blonde hair color, you could use normal Permanent hair color and 20 volume developer, in the color you would like.

im trying to go from red to blonde without getting the brassy yellow.....what do you suggest

Asked by: hay
Hello, and thank you for your question. We suggest trying a test strand with the Express Nine lightener instead with a 15 volume. It is a little stronger to break thru the red. Then you may tone with Platinum Ammonia Free toner and 5 volume.

What happened to the violet toner?

I've been checking all the Sally's stores in Orlando AND Miami, completely out of violet lightening toner. And then I go online, here at Sally's and even on Amazon it's not available. Will it ever be back? Did they discontinue it? This was my go to product! :(
Asked by: Ally
Hello, and thank you for your question. Unfortunately, BB violet toner has been discontinued. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Why did my daughters hair turn blue?

Put ash on her roots and before I reached the top her underneath was blue. Her roots were vergin level 1
Asked by: Color mom
Hello, and thank you for your question. The Ash is a strong blue tone. Depending on the porosity of the hair and if the lightener application was slightly overlapped on previous applications the blue will have a strong presence, unfortunately.

Can i use the regular Salon Care creme developer instead of the one specified in the instructions?

Asked by: Lucy
You technically can unless specified otherwise. In Shades EQ, you have to use their processing solution. If it's Blonde Brilliance, you should be fine to substitute.

Can you use a regular developer or the one specified for blonde brilliance

Asked by: Daisy
You technically can. I have gone either way and have not seen a difference in performance between the two. I have used the generic developers and the One 'N' Only developers from Sally's with BB products. I prefer ONO developers.
