Rated 5 out of 5 by from Oh my god yes Used this for the first time today as my hair was a super yellow blonde (professionally but needed to be toned well). My salon bought toning shampoo wasn't doing anything for me. This is IT. This stuff is incredible. One use and I'm in heaven. Ashed the yellow out so nicely!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this! I LOVE this purple shampoo/toner. I have my hair foiled and toned and this helps keep my hair color looking like it did when I walked out of the salon. I use it once to twice a week. My hair is light blonde with very cool tones. I shampoo my hair, apply the toner, leave it on for about 2 minutes, then rinse. Amazing!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from AMAZING Product I LOVE this product I use it almost every time I shower. I love the way my hair looks after, keeps it looking bright and blonde. I do find if I don't rinse out enough it leave a light purple/silver color, I really like the look of this so it does not bother me at all. I will continue to buy this product as well as the entire line.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor product I bought this by recommendation of Sally but I don’t like it. It left my hightlights violet/ purple ... I had to return to the beauty Salon and spent a lot of money to repair it ... by the way , only use it for 2 minutes or less

Rated 5 out of 5 by from love this blonde shampoo and conditioner this is the best purple shampoo / conditioner to use for blondes. has many oils infused into it so it’s conditioning, you can use this every day and it won’t dry out your hair like most purple shampoos will. the smell is amazing. all there products are to die for.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great to tone out Brassiness in blondes I bought this to take out the brassiness in my blond hair but I also wanted to see if it can help with the orange tones. It did great on the blond but it only did okay for orange. If you only have orange tones that you are trying to fix I would find a different product. I left it on for 20 mins but only 10 mins on my ends (very blond) because they almost turned purple. I can definitely see A difference in person. I don't know if you can tell from the photo. I think it works very well.

Does the temporary blonde brilliance temporarily color white hair?

Asked by: awesomegirl
It’s for toning white/blonde hair. With mine I got a very light purple tone but it washed out/faded within a few days

Roots because my roots we're still very dark after dyeing them. I've been using shimmer lights but I used this product for the first time yesterday and it turned my hair silverish purple and I only left it on for 3 mins for the shampoo and same for the

Asked by: Sara clemens
Yes it did mine that way also. Use the Blond brilliance perfect blond sunkissed gelee. I wash and condition then part my hair and take a coloring brush and brush on roots...all over your head..roots only. Then blow dry. I also take pieces of my hair and put the gelee on to have highlights. Hope this helped.

Conditioner so my question how many times does it take of using one or the other or both to get to the platinum blonde without the silver and purple tints. And is it normal for it to turn your scalp purple as well?

Asked by: Sara clemens
It did not turn MY scalp purple, but I would say don’t leave it on longer than directed. I believe this is meant to extend time between tonings, not substitute for toning. As a result, if ones hair was not light enough to be toned (de brassed and de yellowed) by a lightest ash blonde toner, this lathering TEMPORARY cool blonde toner would not achieve that end.

I purchased this product, Lathering Toner, and it was recommended. I also purchase the Condition Toner. Is the Lathering toner the shampoo and is Condition Toner the conditioner? Do I need to use BOTH to get results?

Asked by: Helokitte77
I love this lathering toner! I use it all of the time. As for purple/toning conditioner, it's a bit of a gimmick. Sure it's purple, but it lacks the ingredients that shampoo does, to rough up the cuticle of the hair (by altering the pH) in order to actually lay down pigment that will hold in the hair. This is to say that, sure you might see some.added benefit from.the conditioner, but it's definitely not the "work horse" or the temporary toning products. A deep conditioning product to give your hair some TLC should be sufficient. The toning results you're looking for should be achievable with just the lathering toner ;-) (just be cautious with h over use, as it can leave a blue/grey tint if left on for too long, or used too often)

People say to use it as a shampoo. So does that mean you use conditioner after or would that wash it out?

Asked by: Emmajean21
yes, definitely use conditioner. it doest wash it out, just leave it on 5 minutes before conditioning.

My hair is naturally jet black I currently did highlights at home and they look brassy with a little tiny bit of orange will this help? What will the the approximate color result? I am aiming a caramel /golden color.

Asked by: ionicdiamond
If your aiming for caramel highlights this won't work. It will dull the yellow/brass. I would touch up your highlights with a repeat process. Then try a neutral toner . Hope this helps.  I'm just assuming you didn't leave on the highlights long enough that's why they're yellow orange

I have 2 questions first, does it turn black hair blonde and second, can it be washed out?

Asked by: ElijahR7
No, This is a toner used to remove yellow and orange tones in already bleached hair. It will not lighten black or any other colors for that matter. Cant really be washed being it is toning shampoo.

How long does this last for because i am looking for something temporary and short. Also how do you get it out?

Asked by: mermaidgirl9
Hi , it all depends on how long you leave it on and the the depth of tone. It will start to lessen with each shampooing, and if the shade is not to my liking, Dawn dish washing soap has been my savior... hope this helps :)
