Rated 4 out of 5 by from gorgeous silver! giving this 4 stars because i thought it would make my hair white but it actually turned silver, which was totally cool with me, as i was flexible with the results. the color is gorgeous and would recommend to others who want silver/grey toned hair

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Don’t listen to reviews :) I just toned my hair with this at it worked great. No, it’s not exactly white. After a fresh dye it’s a very nice silver color with obviously blue undertones so it should fade nicely rather than going tan-brownish like most silver-greys do. If white is what you want that requires a significant amount of bleaching and based on the reviews I read it appears most of you didn’t have a high enough level to start with. Mine was about a 10 already so it looks great. I used a half and half mix of Ion Bright White 10 developer and regular Ion 20 developer, no brassiness left and as my boyfriend put it “a very sexy, mature color”. I’m 19 for reference :) good luck with this toner it’s gorgeous if done right!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really great for orangy blonde at a level 8 I see that other reviewers have said it went gray, but at my orangy level 8 it worked incredibly perfectly. I have a beautiful warm blonde without the orange. The reviews have helped though, because now I am warned to perhaps use a different toner next time if I'm not trying to correct for an orange. (Ie. Looks like this product isn't good if you are looking for slight toning and better for folks looking for corrections)

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Sooooo creamy! I'm leaving a review because this product has crappy ones and I'm not sure why. I used this product after bleaching my hair to a very yellow toned pale blonde and this took out all the brassy pee colored yellow and my hair is now a platinum silver and I'm in LOVE. Product is VERY creamy and easy to apply. I'll be using this indefinitely to keep my hair this pretty. Honestly better than any other silver/platinum toner I've ever used and trust me, my hair has been through a lot. 10/5 tbh.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not Good For Already Level 10/11 Hair I have pre-lightened hair at a level 10/11 and this turned it gray almost the second it touched it. I covered my head as quickly as i could for evenness and immediately washed it out. Based on the reviews that love it, it may be better for level 8 hair with more gold left. beat

What supplies do I need to tone the brass out of my hair and tone into a silver color?

Asked by: Anonymous
Toner, developer and your usual supplies that you will need for hair color (gloves, tint brush, and color mixing bowl). If your hair is not already a pale blonde you will need to lighten your hair color in that case you would need to purchase lightener and the appropriate developer to lift your hair color level to the appropriate shade before using the toner. I am letting my gray/white hair grow out to see if I like it. My natural hair color was brunette and for years I've been coloring with Loreal 6.3 which includes a highlighting treatment. Will using Icy White make all my hair a high gloss white?

Asked by: LindasHair
Speaking as someone who just went from 6.5N to platinum.....this won't lighten your hair. I would get it heavily highlighted, trimmed then heavily highlighted again (have it toned in between). It looks ok (so you are more likely to stick to it!) and your hair won't break off! :)

I was told to use a toner with my developer. I want to dye my hair gray useing a silver permenate hair dye. My hair is dark. What would be a good toner for my hair

Asked by: Anonymous
There are color charts for toner on the toner brand's respective website. To acheive the exact color, would mean applying to colorless hair, like white. So the further from white your hair is initially will correlate with the color offset from the color example provided.

Looking for ice white color

Asked by: Shubhamm
This toner color is called icy white. The final color varies based on prelightening. It will remove yellows, oranges, and/or brassiness that can occur after bleaching. It's a common recommendation to have your hair prelightened to the color of the inside of a banana peel. *I am not a professional. Just someone that does a lot of dying at home. Consult a professional before taking my advice or using harsh chemicals at home.

What developer level do I use I tried snow cap with 20 developer and it did nothing do I use 30 developer?

Asked by: Cort1487
I know this is an old question but maybe this will help someone else wanting to use this color. 20 vol is used mainly for permanent gray coverage hair color, 30/40 vol is used for serious lifting(dark to light). Snow Cap should only be used on pre-lifted, bleached hair with 10 vol only. Check every 5 minutes for desired color.
