Rated 5 out of 5 by from No more yellow For people saying this product is bad does not know how to use it correctly and adjust the formula to reach own color goals. So directions should be read. Also don't be afraid to mix shades. My perfect combination for white hair consist of mixing 3 different shades. I've tried just about every toner out there to get as close to pure white hair and this has been by far the best in 10 years. I'll never use any other brand

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Creamy toner I love how creamy this toner is. When mixed with a creamy developer, it just stays in place while you wait for your timer. No more running. Since the color is dependent on the color of the hair being toned, I cannot comment on how it came out on me. It likely would be different for you. I can tell you that I like it, though.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from This Doesn’t Even Deserve 1 Star this stuff sucks. i bought it today and tried it. it made my hair grey not pink tint what so ever. the worst part was the store associate suggested this to make my hair light pink. i had a feeling this wouldn’t work but i bought it anyway. I swear they don’t know anything about the profucts.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from almost killed my hair I bought the spring blossom toner a few days ago and I just did my hair and went to put it on, as soon as I got it on, some of it got on my scalp and within seconds it started burning really bad. I used 20 developer with it, the developer was for sensitive scalps. I'm glad to see it works for most people! Always make sure you don't have a allergic reaction to dyes

Rated 2 out of 5 by from So so product. Wasnt impressed with the ion cream toners... While i love almost all the other products in the ion line these just didnt cut it for me. Ive used them different ways all according to the manufacturers directions and just didnt get the outcome i was wanting after a lightning session. I am more apt to use regular demi permanant color to tone like before.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Roots I highlighted my hair yesterday. It was a little brassy after so I get this toner. I have Very thin, very fine hair. I used vol 10 developer and mixed 1:1 as suggested by the box. I left it in for a little less than 20 min. It did the trick, however it lightened my roots quite a bit. All in all I would use this again but next time I will definitely be avoiding my roots.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from lightened bleached hair - orange to blonde. Lightens my hair well. Was orange-blonde from bleach, then it toned out to a more even blonde. Snowcap helped a lot (mix with equal-part 20 developer: ~2 oz).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ultra Violet - Amazing! I bleach and tone my roots every 3-4 weeks and have tried a variety of toners in the last couple of months depending on what my local Sally had in stock, including the Bright White in both lavender moon and ultra violet. I am compelled to write this review after using ultra violet because it turned out so beautiful and I haven't seen many people review it yet (also the swatch is kind of confusing). I mixed it 1:2 with a 10 developer and left it on my roots for 20 minutes and pulled through the ends for just a few minutes, this is a stark contrast to the lavender moon which toned (overtoned) very quickly and needed to be rinsed very fast, like just over 10 minutes. The ultra violet needed to stay on a bit longer but toned beautifully without leaving any excess pigment. Dry, my hair looks perfectly white (not silver/gray), and wet it has just the slightest pinky/purple sheen. I really love it, and for me this toner stands out well above the other toners I've used so far (Wella color tango demi, Age Beautiful beige blonde, Ion Bright White lavender moon). I will definitely repurchase and use ultra violet again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Blessing in a tube! This color toner keeps me Out of the salon for at least six months a year. Takes all the yellow and green tones out of my bleached hair that suffers during swim, Motorcycle, extreme heat and sunshine season here in Arizona. I was lost for a few weeks during the pandemic without it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best toner I’ve ever had Just bought the Lavender Moon. it’s PERFECT. It gave my hair a kind of Iridescent silver sheen. I feel like I look like a fantasy character. I even went back to Sallys just to buy another bottle so I can’t stay stocked up

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Snow Cap The tester in the store made this look like a nice platinum white - well its definitely not. My hair is always very light basically platinum and I had just did a root touch up & decided to try this toner out.... yeah it turned my hair into a dark grey/silver color. Please don't buy if you're looking for a white platinum shade.

I have box dyed hair. I bleached it and it came out this orange/brass color. I’m not sure if I need to bleach it again and tone it or just tone it. and if so what toner do I use?

Asked by: Kenna1999
You probably need to lighten some more. You could do a bleach bath, since you're at a orange level its less damaging. Wella t11 and t18 give a nice oatmeal tone. If you can't get pass the orange stage.t14 your best option.

I recently dyed my hair from a yellow light blonde to a neutral dark blonde but now my hair is more light brown and reddish. Can I use a toner to help tone down the red? If so which one? Thanks!

Asked by: AZurn822
You need to get Color Oops ( short hair 1 box/ long hair 2) it will take all the yellow and orange out! Trust me it is a miracle worker! That may do it all for you! If you still have a bit of brass then pick a toner. You want a blue or purple based shade. Any brand light ash blonde should do it!!!! It really depends on how light/ dark you want. Use Volume 10 for darker shade 20 for lighter! I use Ion Spring Blossom and have very light hair ( Love this toner)  True Color Sunset ( actual permanent dye) is also great if your hair is darker. It's a beautiful blonde/ beige! Good luck!

Which ion toner works well for orange? And which one works well for yellow?

Asked by: Bebee007
I would not want to steer you in the wrong direction so I'll just share my experience. I have natural level 8 blonde hair and I like to color it a pale beige level 10 blonde. I use the ion bright white creme bleach on my roots and they turn a yellowish orange color. I've tried a ton of toners and the best for me has been the Snowcap toner. It has a blue ash tone. At first my hair is more gray than I like so I wash it with a clarifying shampoo then follow with the john freida violet shampoo and conditioner. After 2-3 washes it is a perfect pale beige blonde and looks natural! I also have found the natural blonde toner has blue and cancels orange but it will definitely turn your level 10 hair to a darker blonde tone. Maybe try this if you really messed up with your first attempt!

I bleached my hair, and now it’s three different colors , I’m not sure what to do to darken it , would using a toner and a dark dye work?

Asked by: Janet333
Be careful using any toners with the word “ash.” If you use a toner and dye your hair dark you risk turning it green. My suggestion would be to apply bleach to the darker areas , try to lighten it to the closest shade as the rest of the hair & then apply a dark non ash dye a few days later. You may need a friend to help. Or use this as an opportunity to do a crazy color like blue :P

I bleached my hair twice already and it’s still super orange! Will this help tone it well? I’m trying to get to a dusty/pastel pink. Help!!!

Asked by: Mary Mary 88
The cream toner is better on your hair but depending on how dark it is, there may be more needed to bring it up. Use 40 volume toner and the purple shampoo for blondes will help tone down the brass. I have platinum color and it keeps out the brass. Also you may want to rest it a couple of days.

Can I mix this product with the ion intense shine Demi permanent hair color to tone my hair?

Asked by: Anonymous
It is not advised that you mix a toner and a demi permanent hair color together. Use the toner of your choice, following the directions to correctly tone your hair.
