Rated 5 out of 5 by from Finally! I always have problems with toning my hair myself. It either turns an icky dark grey or purple and fades to orange. This toner changed everything. I have very fine, damaged bleached blonde hair. I use Manic Panic Blue Lightning Bleach Kit with Ion Absolute Perfection Booster Step 1. After rinsing and air drying, I mix half Silver Ash Blonde, half Pearl Blonde with 20 developer and leave it on for 10-15 mins. I can't believe how perfect it looks! After years of trying everything under the sun, I've finally found the perfect combination for my hair type to get the icy platinum color I prefer.

Can this be used with a 30 vol? And if so how long should it he left on?

Asked by: Madge123
The instructions say to use 10 or 20. I wouldn't suggest using anything higher since, with toner, you're depositing color instead of lifting. The lower vol of developer you use, the higher the color deposit.
