Rated 5 out of 5 by from My go to toner. Amazing toner. I’ve used the silver ash and the pearl. The silver ash worked wonders after bleaching my hair I used the silver ash to rid the orange tones I had left after a bleach. My hair did not turn drabby grey not green due to the ash, but a beautiful silver. Left my hair full and soft. Pearl worked wonders on any yellow I had. It surpasses wella toner by far.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Don’t let the reviews scare you Don’t be scared by some of the reviews, this product works really well. It really helped take out all my Covid-blonde banding. Just double check which one you get. Pearl Blonde rids yellow and violet overtones. The Pale Blonde also does a great job on yellow over tones, but I needed the a Pearl Blonde. My hair post coloring is very shiny And soft. It is defiantly working like a gloss as well, I am very pleased. I used it with 20 volume after using a high lift blonde on my roots and outgrowth. Overall, I would buy this product again and/or recommend it to a friend.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Used as directed, barely did anything I had lightened my hair to a level 10 and used the beige toner. The change was very slight. I wouldn't recommend this or buy again. It's the only toner left in store at the time I bought it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this on my natural white hair! I am 62 yrs young. I have natural white hair with very little grey. Did strand testing with permanent hair color. Nothing turned out the color I wanted. Used the silver ash blonde topcoat toner. Matched the color perfect!! Did this 7 weeks ago. Just touched up my roots. Left on roots 10 min. Then applied it all over head left on another 10 min. Freshened up the color.

I’m currently bleached blonde but roots little brassy  trying to achieve a silvery blonde look and been using manic panic a couple times but want a more permanent satisfying silver blonde shade  Any advice?

Asked by: Janelle30
I used the toners to transition from dyed dark brown hair to gray (or pretty much white in my case). I had a color correction to remove the dye and wanted both to camouflage the newly lightened hair with my new growth. I tried both the Pearl and the Beige blonde toners and really liked them. However, the Beige gave me a touch of pink. I got a lot of complements on it, but preferred it when I mixed the two (Pearl and Beige) for a more subtle look. I might want to try the Silver Ash Blonde in the future just to keep the yellow out. I used both a 20 developer and a 10 developer. I recommend the 10 so as not to pull color out, but to instead just coat the hair a bit. My hair definitely felt silkier and was shinier. Good luck!

My hair is lifted to a level 10 & I’ve been using Wella T-10 with 15 volume developer religiously. I only leave it on 10-12 mins MAX. Is the agebeautiful Pearl Blonde similar to Wella T-10 shade wise? Also, I love golden blonde, not going for platinum.

Asked by: Jadedgal05
If you like golden blonde then go the beige blond, not the pearl.

I'm putting blonde highlights in my hair, then toning my whole head. I have dark ash blonde, almost light brown, natural roots about 4 inches long. Will this toner lift my natural colour at all? I plan to use a 5 volume.

Asked by: Shhhlene
No this is a toner and won't lift, only deposits, especially using a 5V. I have similar coloring as you, dark ash blonde, and I highlight using lightener and 30V to a very pale yellow then tone using 10V. My hair is super porous so I only leave it on 8 mins. I suggest doing a tester strand to avoid results you may not be happy with.

I’m looking to tone my med/light brown hair. I don’t want it any darker I just want the red and brassy tones neutralized. Can I use this product to neutralize the brass? I’m not trying to be blonde just trying to get rid of red undertones. Thanks

Asked by: Curious about toning
If your hair is that dark then a toner is not the right product for you. If you don't want lift (remain at same level of color depth & only change the tone) then ideally you'd want to use a tone-on-tone demi-permanent color. You must pick the same level of depth that your hair is, in a color direction to cancel out the red undertone. Ash cancels red. So if your a level 5 with red undertones, then you'd want to use 5NA (neutral ash) too much ash on a 5 can look drab or muddy. If your not sure, just go with neutral to be safe. *Do NOT use violet. Violet only cancels out brassy yellow tones on lighter blondes, but in darker tones it only adds more warmth (violet is half red and half blue- so do the math).* Your best bet is a Neutral Ash (NA), or a Neutral(N)- if you don't see that color, then use some ash additive but be very careful. Always easier to add than subtract. Demi isn't permanent but it lasts several weeks. You don't want to end up needing color remover and damaging your hair. Or the Color Charm Demi: Next time you tint your hair with permanent color, when you choose a color that you like, you have to realize that to get there it takes some color math. Sometimes it takes a different box of color, or two mixed together, to reach your desired shade. Darker hair always pulls red, medium hair pulls orange, and anything lighter pulls yellow. That's why the color you end up with looks much different than on the color swatch. Swatches aren't exact, they're just a guide. You'll always need to use formulas with an ash, blue, or violet direction to avoid ending up with those undertones. It's an exact science, which is why colorists make great incomes. The reason toners exist is specifically to cancel out yellow first of all.. Then secondly to impart the desired tone, weather it's white, silver, violety, rose gold or beige blonde. This is a product only intended for that purpose and shouldn't be used if your not sure about it or have darker hair.

Can the Silver Ash Blonde be mixed with either the Pearl or the Beige Blonde? I seem to have both orange and yellow brassiness and would like to get rid of both by possibly mixing two of these toners...

Asked by: BlondieLox
Others have reviewed this product saying they have mixed both silver ash blonde and beige blonde, and it resulted in a beautiful blond. Good luck! :)

I have yellow and orange tones in my hair after bleaching. I don't want to go lighter blonde I just want both tones neutralized. Would this product work and if so which one with what developer?

Asked by: Jessicafraijo
Depends on the finished toned color you want for which one to use. If you don’t want it to lift use 10 vol developer

what happens if you use this toner with 10 vol versus 20 vol?

Asked by: icedoll1313
So on the actual package is says "10 vol for more color deposit" "20 vol for less color deposit" I believe a bigger vol means that it lightens the hair more rather than put color in.

How many oz of toner is needed for hair that is just slightly above shoulder length?

Asked by: Vronmomof3
Answering this myself. The 2 oz bottle was enough for above shoulder length hair. Anything longer you will need 2 bottles or more.

I would like to achieve Age Beautiful's Pearl Blonde. My hair is dark blonde with some gray. Do I first use creme lightener and a developer or do I only use the Pearl Blonde Top Coat Toner with a developer What level of developer do I use?

Asked by: blondnora
If your hair is a dark blond, you will have to bleach hair to achieve the color pearl blonde. To get the color of the swatch, you’d have to bleach your dark blond hair to a level 10. You probably wouldn’t have to bleach your hair for that long as your hair is already blonde.  So yes I would use the creme lightener with a 20 developer or which ever you feel comfortable using. Then use the pearl blonde with a 10 or 20 developer depending on what results you want. Either one wouldn’t give that big of a difference.  If you just used the toner on dark blond hair, even with a 20 developer, it wouldn’t lift it to a pearl blonde. I don’t think you would have any results and would be a waste of time and money.

My hair is naturally dark brown. I got red and blonde highlights in it. I want to tone the blond becasue roots are yellow. My hair was toned but the roots stayed yellow. I was going to buy the pearl toner as it's neutral but will it lighten blonde more?

Asked by: Carissann
It depends on the volume developer you use. the higher the number, the more natural color it will lift. it probably won't do much to lightened hair. you could stick with 10 volume to be on the safer side.
