Rated 1 out of 5 by from HORRIBLE!!! Do not use these unless you want to lose your hair in clumps!! They not only slipped but the glue caused my natural hair to almost become like dreads held together by glue. I used the glue remover, conditioner, baby and coconut oil, dish soap. Would not come out! I finally had to resort to spraying Goo Gone on it and my boyfriend had to break apart the hair clumps, cut out thick lumps of glue, and brush until my scalp was raw. Even that barely worked! I lost SO much hair. I wish I could rate this product a ZERO!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Don't hold after one wash Unfortunately seems this is the only replacement tape Sally's sells and nowhere else close to me carries any. My extensions started falling out after I took a shower. I waited over 24 hours after putting them in and still they came apart. So disappointing and expensive when you have to replace them too often.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Thick and not sticky The tape just did not hold compared to other brands I have tried.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best extensions tape I'm a stylist and prefer to use this brand over the others. It has a strong hold and no sticky residue. If clients are having trouble with extensions falling out it can be from improper installation or handling at home. Our local Sally's in town have a hard time keeping this tape in stock because all of us love it so much!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Ruined my 350$ extensions I had 2 month old extensions retaped at a salon, and the lady didn't have tape so she went and got this one. As soon as I got home tape was already coming apart EVERYWHERE. I didn't even wash my hair yet. It's literal GARBAGE. I'm calling tomorrow to get the tape replace with ACTUAL salon quality tape. This trash will RUIN YOUR HAIR

Rated 1 out of 5 by from DO NOT USE I originally had Bombshell extension tape tabs which did no damage, used these as replacement tabs and it was a nightmare to remove them. No remover worked, alcohol rub wouldn’t even loosen the glue. BEWARE SAVE YOUR HAIR use a different brand. Worst experience ever.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I’m a hair dresser who uses hot heAd taps. I ran out of hot heads and ran to Sally’s this was for my hair every sidnve I stared using them my hair isn’t coming out with tape I’d rather my hair stay healthy them stay on longer and lose hAir

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible product Stylist for over 15 years. Proficient in just about every extension technique out there. Use tabs a lot for convenience. This product does not hold well at all, and causes hair to shed out on an almost constant basis. Thanfully I had some pro bond at home I was able to add to each piece, but the damage is done. Total waste of good hair. I know I won’t be able to wash my hair while these are in or the tabs will just fall right out. One night of sleep with my hair wrapped securely and the tabs are already curled. I brushed through just to loose a bunch more hair. Terrible product. I wouldn’t recommend it unless you want to constantly clean shedded hair off your shirt and waste a perfectly good set of extensions. I’ll deal with it and mak it last, but I’m going back to my old product next.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not the best but they work I’ve worn tape in extensions for the past 2 years consistently and have never had an issue with slipping or hair loss. I live in Florida and have used these during the summer months of long days at on the boat and beach and never an issue. I’ve never lost an extension in the shower, these tapes have never given me any issues!! They do get tacky and can leave a sticky residue behind when you do take them out but that’s with any tape! I buy these because I don’t have to wait for the mail man to bring them and they are reasonably priced! Make sure your hair is squeaky clean before application and DONT use heat to set them! Rubbing alcohol I’ve found works best for removal and you’ll be good to go!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Awful Every hair wash resulted in more extensions falling out! Not only that but the extensions slipped off the tape and the tape was left stuck to my hair!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Licensed Stylist So I originally had UltraTress extensions. When I saw my hair friend to re-apply my extensions I noticed she was using this brand. I was so iffy, worried that this brand may not hold up. Um, it definitely did...lasted 6 weeks (no budging). Make sure you are using sulfate free shampoo and not bringing conditioner to the root.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Tape! It's difficult to find good replacement tape. This stuff was the best I have used. Just be sure that your extensions are clean and free of any oils. Make sure your hands are oil free. I have been using this tape for about 8 months and have not lost a single extension

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Decent Tape. Lasted 1+ month I made my own tape in extensions and installation using this tape and it lasted me through many hair washes and swims at the beach. My pieces did not start sliding until after a month and a half's worth of wear. Even then, most pieces could have probably even stayed in longer if i hadn't taken them out. *I dont know if it helped but i left the tape on my extensions for 24-48 hours before applying and did not wash my hair for 2 days after installation.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Horrible product There's a lot of stylist I know whi said this is a bad product. But I like to try things out for myself. So,lI bought three packs within a two week time frame. I usually only need one pack every 4-8weeks. The adhesive wouldn't adhere. My extensions were feeling it randomly. I kept giving the product a chance. I thought maybe it was a defect but it happens a third time. I started looking for another brand to use. I suggest you do the same of don't purchase this product at all.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Do not buy The price is right but this glue stays completely attached to your hair and is impossible to get out it created huge knots

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works great! I go to the salon for my tape-in extensions and my stylist uses the strongest tape for my hair. I use the recommended shampoo from her that is sulfate free and I do not use any oil or conditioner near the tape. However, my extensions still manage to come out. So, for in between salon visits and to save some money I bought this replacement tape. It works JUST as good as the tape my stylist uses. Be sure to wash your hair prior and do NOT use conditioner or oil when re-installing or installing your hair. Highly recommend!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Hit and Miss I have been wearing extensions since 1999, so I am fairy well versed on the removal and reinstallation of tape ins. With the replacement, it is definitely hit or miss. I have had more failures than successes. I think the age of the tape may come into play. I had purchased one package of replacement tape that. I didn't use for a few months and the extensions feel out at first shampoo. This has also occurred with tape I have purchased and used the same day. When I purchase new extensions,.however, I never have an issue. Could it be an attempt by the manufacturer to.get us to buy the $90 item instead of the $10 item? Luckily, my daughter does my extensions and I do.hers so we don't to pay to have them installed. I would be furious if I had paid to get extensions placed only to have them come out in a few days. Very Unprofesssional! L.p.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Absolute garbage I am a licensed stylist who has a lot of experience with extensions. I've always order my tape online . In a rush I bought this tape. I made sure the hair was clean and not conditioned when the extensions were applied . Lasted great the first few days but then the first wash they all fell out with ease and now I'm stuck with a head full of tape that didn't stick to the extensions but only my hair . Would never use this brand again .

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Awful! Some extensions fell out literally 20 minutes after being put in. Then after the first wash (a couple days later) MORE fell out!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great tape I'm a stylist and have personally worn tape extensions for the last five years. I was in a bind to get more tape but was wary of these due to the few bad reviews. I must say those who had trouble with them must have been from misuse. Ive had them in for a week, washed twice and have had zero issues. i made sure my extensions were free and clear of any old tape/glue/residue. Applied the new tape tabs and installed a full head of extensions. I pressed on the tape/base of extensions with my flat iron for a few seconds to seal them in. They are nice and tight. Would compare to hot headz tape or babe tape. (But way less $$$) Will buy again!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Awesomeness These are just as good as any others, number one priority is no conditioning around the tape area. ..

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best tape!! I have used this replacement tape for many years now. I am seriously shocked that the tape didn't hold others hair in. I go 7 weeks before I have my hair moved up and typically I don't lose any or just one. This tape is just as good as babe tape if not better.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No problems with mine staying in I used this tape on double wefted clips in that I cut up for tapes ins. First time I had done tape ins. I watched a lot of videos to research the process. I had no problems. They were installed by my hair stylist. I have had them in over 6 weeks. I take proper care not to get conditioner on the tape. I wash my hair about every other day and let it air dry. I braided my hair each night as I use 18 inch extensions. I have really thin hair. I just took out my own extensions with oils, washed and protein condition them and the sprayed them with the silky strands leave in conditioner. THey are hanging on hangers with clothes pins in the order they were put in for my next appointment. I am not a cosmetologist or am any way affiliated with the product company. Just a savvy saver.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Seriously ladies.... what are you doing wrong?!?! I bought this tape to re-tape my Satin Strands 18" tape-in extensions that I purchased at Sally Beauty. This was the FOURTH time re-tapping these extensions.. that are still in tact and insanely healthy looking :) I ended up doing this ENTIRE process myself... from removal of the extensions, removal of glue residue from extensions & hair, re-tapping, and re-installing. Actually, I had my best friend install the extensions for free :) no... she is not a trained or certified hair stylist... but she did it for free LOL and didn't even watch a video, tutorial or look at pictures. Which annoyed me as she placed the last four (4) tape-in pieces, too high on my head. I had to remove them that night, re-tapped the next morning (after cleaning the tape off), and re-installed myself. I have been to the gym everyday since I have had them installed, sweat like crazy, I even toss and turn/sweat during my sleeps.... and they are still in! :) The tape is holding up, no slippage and none have falling out. I also have washed my hair once since the install. I didn't end up getting all the previous tape/glue residue off my extensions, but tried my very best. The last stylist who installed them used GBB tape. It was almost IMPOSSIBLE to get out. I can't figure out why... having said that. These extension wefts weren't completely clean and free of residue, but I tried my very best.... and after 5 days at the gym and a wash, they are still holding up!!!! Highly recommend this product with Satin Strand tape-in extensions. I have ZERO complaints about this product...... sorry to the other ladies. Unfortunate it didn't work for you :( xoxx

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Know what you're doing So I read the reviews and was iffy. But I was desperate. So I bought them and put them on I used pliers to press and a flat iron to heat pretty much what I usually do. I've had my hair in almost 3 weeks and 4 washes and only one came out cause I kind of yanked on it when I brushed lol. But pretty much I'm guessing the others don't know what they are doing. I like them and have plenty left over for when I redo them in about a month or more

Do you tape the extensions to your scalp or to your hair

Asked by: Piccolo7929
You tape it to your hair! You grab a small/thin amount of hair .. about 1 inch of hair then place a tape extension on top and bottle of the hair

Can this be applied to regular satin strands extensions that the clips have been removed from?

Asked by: Kprue234
yes but I would also recommend using a walker wig glue between the extension and tape to help secure the tape even more.
