Rated 5 out of 5 by from Never need another styler ever again I tend to have fluffy curls/ waves and tons of frizz with no definition, and never found a styler to define and moisturize so I gave up on stylers for wash-and-go's. First time of trying it for a wash-and-go style was without any other product and was reverting from twists. I was taken aback of how defined my hair was and plump without much frizz. It was sticky when wet and dried crunchy with a weird rubbery wax feeling on my fingers, and somewhat dry, I was more impressed of how it held my curls and for the amount of days (6 days). Second time, I did it without any other product and reverted from twists again. I believed I added too much product and result was same as first, but this time super dry, crunchy, and wiry. Hated it! Almost gave up on this. Third time, I started on completely freshly washed hair. Added my favorite leave in conditioner, oil, and then this product. And my curls are perfect with moisture, hold, and barely any crunch. No rubbery wax feeling. Application is always smooth and creamy. Tons of slip. I did have a hard time combing through with the product in, but after smoothing, it was perfect easy gliding. It has better hold than moisture (when dry) and great moisture and hold (when wet). Come on! The ingredients fantastic! And for how it took care of my hair I'm forever hooked. I don't mind paying $17.99 it's worth it and still cheaper then other well known stylers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Achieved. my first wash and go on 4c hair Went into Sally"s thinking what can I try now. as nothing worked for me to achieve a wash and go. It's summer and I did not want to be spending so much time on my hair. Well this was amazing. Expensive but if it works I don't care how I have to pay. 16 Oz and you do not have to use alot. Finally

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Defines my Wash and Gos My hair stylist used this in my 4a/4b coils and it defined my tresses! I use in conjunction with ecostyler bc of the humidity down in Georgia. I really love the product and would give it 5 stars if it wasn't as expensive as it is! Please bring down the price on this one:)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Product I used this with the daily moisturizing lotion and I think it worked great, this helped moisturize and detangle my hair. This also left a luster in my hair and left me with definition as well. I used this on a braid out and I was satisfied. This did leave a tacky feel to it while applying, but only when wet. When my hair completely dried it was fine.I know this product has many bad reviews overall but I am satisfied with it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it!! This is my favorite butter/gel. I mean it moisturize my hair with a slight hold. I do not like the other design essential coconut & mono line. I have tried all the products and this is the only one I will use and work for my low prosity hair.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Waste of Money!!! I really had high hopes for this product. It left my hair dry and dull, and the next day it was even worse. My hair is between 3C/4A. Tight smooth ringlets. I can usually achieve a nice look with water and leave in conditioner. So, I was hoping this product would offer greater definition that would last a few days. Don't bother it is a waste of money and a rip-off at $26 per jar. A jar of hair gel and old fashion afrosheen get you better results.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not What I Expected, But Still a Good Product I bought this with the expectation that it would be a curl defining gel for my type 4 hair. It is a crème pudding/butter, and did not work well in terms of a wash and go. As I Am Curling Jelly on the other hand, gave me cute, tight, well defined curls. However, it had been hard for me to maintain them for a 2nd/3rd day, with AIA. The Design Essentials daily lotion was a reason that I chose DE, as I was hoping it would revitalize the curls. However, my hair was incredibly shiny and not hard. It also did a very good job of defining my twists, corkscrew style. I don't know that I would purchase again, as the ingredients are good, but not great as compared to As I Am. It is also more expensive than AIA. I will have to continue to use it and experiment before I make a final decision.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Creme Gel This product yields beautiful twists for twist outs. Nice smell (not overpowering, baked goods scent) and a tub of it lasts a long time. Design Essentials has great tutorial videos on their site and the styles that are done can be achieved at home with this product. So happy to get it at Sally's! All the styling products for naturals perform well--mousse, lotion, stretch cream, and gel.

Hello do you have the old formula (ingredients list as appears on your website) or the new formula (containing isoparrafin)?
