Rated 5 out of 5 by from My favorite curling iron! I've had this curling iron for a year and use it at my salon and on myself. My curls last forever, and it's the best one I've ever used. Ive used really expensive curling irons like Chi, Babyliss, Hot Tools, T3, etc etc etc and none have compared ( and I have that straight straight Asian hair!). Some tips, don't spray hairspray on the hair before curling, because it will compromise the integrity of your hair and the the ceramic coating. Do however, use a heat protectant, but not one that makes your hair feel wet.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not worth the money My mom actually gave this curling iron to me a little over a year ago, and I'm not impressed. I need to turn the heat up really high to get a decent curl and my hair is very fine.(it gets the job done, but it takes more heat...) I have another iron of this same brand with gold plates. I have the gold plated one for years! (over a decade) and it has been amazing and I don't turn the heat up on the gold iron nearly as high as I do with the ceramic. I'm really disappointed with these ceramic plates. I'll stick with the gold plated one for now. The brand is still great and like I said, if you want a good iron that will last you decades, then the gold plated hot shots is what you need to get!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from For an expensive curling it didn’t last Bought this ~6mo ago, I’m a regular home user, and the heating elimate is already out. I’ve have drug store curling irons last longer. Sally’s was no help, asking if I bought a warranty. Seriously why would you buy a warrant on a $50 curling iron, you pay that kind of money because you expect it to last. What a racket.

what is the difference between cereamic and titianium curling irons?  Which one hold heat better without burning hair?

Asked by: Suzana33
Titanium provides a more even heat distribution. Ceramic alone can cause uneven heat spots resulting in not only damage to the hair, but an uneven curl.
