Rated 4 out of 5 by from For the driest skin! Idk why everyone is complaining about the texture, this is what real Shea butter is supposed to be like! It's thicker than past formulas I've had but I've never had the "pure" stuff- my skin is so dry that usually only coconut oil works to hydrate me but this stuff worked even better! My skin stayed moisturized between showers for a change. It takes awhile to work into your skin since it's so thick, it's best to keep this stuff in a warmer area so it's pliable & easier to spread. Ppl also complained about the smell, but it's fragrance free, what do you expect? It doesn't smell amazing cus it's not scented but it leaves no noticeable scent behind on your skin. I recommend this if you have really dry skin or as a foot cream under socks

Rated 1 out of 5 by from She’s Butter checked expiration dates Unhappy ☹️ product expired in 2017. It was not smoothe. It had curds and would not rub in smoothe. I was so dissatisfied. It was a sale product and now I know why. Didn’t throw it away yet. It can be used melted down for dry skin use in the winter months

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Coily hair I needed something to moisten my hair without leaving it feeling heavy... I have super thick coily hair and trust me it works... Not the best smelling but it gets the job done!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Deep Conditioning For whatever reason, my Skin and Hair respond best to Shea. I use this product as a Deep Conditioning Treatment after I give my hair a Protein Pack Treatment (every 8-weeks). I've tried other Deep Conditioning Treatments after my Protein Pack, but this one works best for me. My hair just seems to soak it up-- leaving my hair Soft, Smooth, and Silky. Please be aware that I do use heat with both these Treatments. I have a Bonnet-style Hairdryer and apply heat for 30-minutes for each Treatment. If your Hair responds to Shea, I highly recommend this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from GREAT FOR THICK DRY HAIR So I have been natural for almost a year now (Nov 24 will be official 12 months post big chop) and even when I was relaxed I struggled with really dry hair. Dry hair leads to breakage and a lot of other problems so it was something I was desperate to find a solution to. For the longest I thought oils would solve my problem (and trust me I tried a handful of oils) and while they did make my hair oily they weren't moisturizing my hair. The problem is not oil however, the problem is that oil wasn't what my hair needed. Only this past week did I actually learn that because of my thick hair type, in order to moisturize my hair I would need a thick moisturizer and normally oil alone would not work unless I had more of a finer hair type. And trust me this product is thick, but more importantly it is SO MOISTURIZING. My hair has literally never felt so soft or moisturized and I seriously have to give this a 5/5 especially for those of you who have thick hair. Sorry this was so long, I'm just genuinely surprised by the fact that I've finally found something that works with my hair type.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nice product alone, but soupy shea butter mix. This shea butter has a pale and very light yellow look to it with faint nutty smell. When I use the shea butter alone it was easy to use and it melt into my skin easily. However, there was one big major con with using this shea butter. I tried making a whipped shea butter mix and it came out soupy. No water was added. Just 80% shea butter, coconut oil, grapeseed oil, and tea tree oil. It's a soupy texture and I am disappointed. I still have a little shea butter left, so I will try again and see how my second shea butte batch comes out. I never had a problem like this before with mixing shea butter.

my hair is relaxed. is it okay to use proclaim shea butter on my relaxed hair?

I hope it want take my relaxer out. what would be the best hair dressing for my relaxed hair? I thought I could use this proclaim shea for it.
Asked by: blackgirl25
Relaxers are permanent. Nothing can 'take them out' once it processed your hair. After you've neutralized and washed out the relaxer, it's no longer 'in your hair', you just have a new texture. Sometimes when people get relaxers, their hair is stubborn and only stays straight for a period of time or the texture is very resilient and refuses to change at all. Also the Shea will probably condition your hair and reduce breakage and split ends. That's what it does for my relaxed hair anyway. How you use it depends on you. I like using it as a leave-in after cleaning and conditioning. It's also a great styling product and sealant that I use in the summer for humidity (too much weighs my hair down). You could also melt it, mix it with other oils, and let it re-harden into a softer more malleable cream. When I'm not using it in my hair, I use it as a body lotion

Since it says its 100% pure Shea butter, is this a high enough quality of a product for diy hair moisturizers and/or lotions?
