Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this product! Wonderful product! Smells so good! Makes my hair so soft and easy to detangle.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great product, with notable exceptions It's unfortunate that with all the good ingredients, there is also a liberal use of alcohol, which dries the hair, and chemical fragrance, which is not clearly listed on the label: Fragrance (essential oil blend). I do not use any products with chemical fragrance because they are toxic. I'm sad, because I really wanted to love this product.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Smells nice, GREAT HOLD, Some White Residue My hair is fine with a 4a pattern. This is very different than the Curl Enhancing Smoothie (I am using their most well known product as a point of reference). It feels more like a hair masque on my hands and during application. There's not a ton of slip and I really had to work the product in to my hair. I rake it through 6 sections of soaking wet hair. When it's wet there's a lot of white and it's quite heavy. When it dries my curls are soft, defined, and elongated. They feel really nice but there is little to no shine and I still see some white residue when I look closely. The curls aren't crunchy or dry at all, just have a matte finish to them and I find myself wanting to spritz with water/glycerin/oil. It's great for curly puffs but for wash and gos I'd recommend the Leave-In from this line or the Curl Enhancing Smoothie.

Has anyone used this product for twistouts or braidouts? If so, how did you like it? I have used the shampoo, deep treatment masque and leave in conditioner from this line and I absolutely love them.

Asked by: Shannaya
Ive used the leave in conditioner from this line w the gel from this line for braids and they were perfectly tucked and no hairs sticking out. Apple not a lot but a good enough amount that will hold the hair I'd recommend:))

What is the difference between the Jamaican Black Castor oil smoothie and the leave-in conditioner?

Asked by: GabrielaY
In the case of the LOC (leave-in, oil, cream) Method, the smoothie could be used as the cream because of its thicker consistency and they usually help enhance the style. I hope I was of some help!

Why is this called Jamaican black castor oil smoothie when castor oil is not listed as an ingredient at all? Not to mention the fact that it has 3 different kinds of alcohols.
