I have colorhair will this take my color out?

Asked by: BOB42BAU
I'm not a licensed cosmetologist or beautician, but I've had this done to my hair professionally for about 8 years and paying close attention to the process before doing it myself over the past 7 years. I do have licensed professionals in the beauty industry in my family. So, I've had time to learn from my experience with my own hair and the listened professionals in my life. Whether this takes your color out or not depends on how long it's been since you had your hair colored, whether it's previously chemically treated or not, how well you prep your hair for this treatment, and your hair type. If it's been 4-6 weeks since you got your hair colored you should be ok as long as you put a light oil on the further ends of the strands of your hair where majority of the color is before putting this chemical on your head.  Otherwise, I wouldn't put this or any other chemical on your hair if it hasn't been been 4-6 weeks between chemical services on your hair. If the color is a wax or chalk like product where there wasn't any chemicals or bleaching involved, it's a possibility that the color might come out because of the washing and rinsing process you have to do in order for this chemical to process properly. If your hair type is kind of stubborn to holding color and or chemical processes, it's a good chance that you will have some color transfer during the process of the wave nouveau. More importantly though, make sure to base your scalp with scalp protector if you have a sensitive scalp or have had previous chemical process done on your hair that your scalp has been exposed to because you don't want to run the risk of a chemical burn. If you protect your colored hair properly in preparation for he wave nouveau though, you shouldn't lose much color if at all. Please ask a professional if if possible if you still aren't sure. I hope this helped in answering your question!

Why doesn’t Sallyes beauty supply carry at least 1 of each in ethnic product lines?

Asked by: SGBPR010
I believe this is more of a question for the company, and not in reference to this product. I don't work with Sally's Beauty Supply, but with my education and understanding of business and marketing I would say that Sally's Beauty Supply provides products that they are selling most of. Sally's Beauty Supply stock also depends on their regions demands, but it could also be a contractual situation. Where Sally Beauty isn't being offered ideal contractual deals for certain product lines. I would definitely write in to the company about this question though, because it could create a catalyst in changing this.

Can you use this without the rods and get the same results?

Asked by: Lauri Love
This part of the process does not require the rods. The Part 1 is for releasing the shape of the natural curls.
