Rated 1 out of 5 by from Awful Product Purchased this and used 1 time and am higly disappointed. I relax my hair normally 6-8 weeks. I like to keep my hair short because it's very low maintenance so deciding to get this after the store was out of stock for my originally used rexlaxer and I was in dire need. I used and am highly upset. It left my hair extremely brittle, made my hair look ragged and extremely damaged. I couldn't wait until 4 weeks to get a spot perm for my shorter back and sides. I noticed immediately after I applied it was awful. Do not recommend nor will I ever use again. I took the one purchased and trashed immediately. Not worth it and a really bad like of relaxers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No dry or brittle edges I haven’t used this relaxer brand in 23 years. The first time I used it I was 16 with short hair and it made my hair have a curly texturized look. Now I have long hair almost to my waist and it has my edges looking great and my hair feeling moisturized even after 3 week getting it relaxed. With other more expensive relaxers, my hair was feeling dry and brittle after the second hair was. My edges would be hard and looking like I needed a retouch within 2 weeks. I assumed it was the normal for my hair. I was wrong. I can’t rave enough how my hair has been brought back to life. It seems that I will need less relaxers to maintain my hair. I am a licensed cosmetologist and I feel as I have been doing it all wrong by promoting the more expensive “salon quality “ brands.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from New packaging/New formula? I'm torn about using the relaxer. The pictured product is what I (and my daughter) have been using for many years, with good to excellent results. I ordered two, assuming that what was pictured was what I'd receive. Wrong! I received the mild formula, but the packaging is totally different. I went online to get info, and found reviewers who had a similar experience. They, too, hesitated to apply it to their hair, and of those that did, some had negative experiences, like hair becoming brittle, hair loss, spongy hair. So right now I am VERY hesitant to use what I received. HAS FORMULA CHANGED AT ALL, leading to the negative experiences? I don't like that I did not receive what I ordered, and am frankly scared by the negative reviews. The ORIGINAL product rates a 5/5, this one is sketchy just yet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So happy Sally still carries a mild lye relaxer It's gentle but effective for my fine type 4 hair. Not even a hint of burning was felt. I was very pleased with the results.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quick mailing It's a great product BUT too strong (contains lye) for my type of curls. I should've read more carefully.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Mild Conditioning Creme Relaxer That's the only one relaxer that I have been using for almost 40 years. I will not try any brand.

what is the best deep cleansing nuetralizing shampoo

Asked by: minnieme2
I like to use Isoplus neutralizing shampoo. It lets you know when all your relaxer is rinsed out. It has a color change from pink to white when all the relaxer is rinsed out. About 3-4 washings.

I'm caucasion with coarse wavy hair. Is this product right for me and how long does the hair stay straight

Asked by: Leala Ann
I have used this on Caucasian hair. Unfortunately, I wasn’t pleased with the results because the hair came out really greasy and difficult to remove the greasiness. I cannot determine without seeing your hair if a creme relaxer would be good for you. Also, if you have any previous chemical straighteners or coloring, bleach, etc. It could harm your hair. It would be best to find a salon that does relaxers to determine what’s best for your hair type.

Is this product for Caucasion hair?

Asked by: Debbie5683
Yes. I’m white and a male. Usually have it in for 20 minutes and wash 3 times. I use the red container. I believe Revlon carries 3 types. Leave it in too long and it could burn your hair.

I don't see why not. Hair is hair. Just make sure you're using the correct strength.
