  • Original Formula (Mild) for Fine to Medium Hair Textures Salon Approved for Permanently Colored Hair For Professional Use Only
Ultra Precise No-Lye Conditioning Relaxer is a professional relaxer that effectively conditions hair where it needs it most during the relaxing process. The substantive, built-in conditioner selectively conditions each hair fiber and smooths damaged areas, fly-away fibers and split ends. The Original (Mild) formula offers great relaxing and control for clients with fine to medium hair, leaving hair healthy-looking, soft and silky, with lasting results.
  • STEP 1: STRAND TEST, ALWAYS DO A HAIR STRAND TEST BEFORE RELAXING.

    Here’s how:

    1. Isolate a small section of hair.

    2. Identify hair texture and treatment time from timing guide.

    3. Mix Relaxer Creme and Liquid Activator according to Step No. 2 (below). Apply mixture evenly on unrelaxed portion of hair section. Set timer for treatment time for your client’s hair texture.

    4. When time is up, rinse the treated section with warm water and shampoo with Neutralizing Shampoo. Allow test strand to dry. Check for straightness, irritation or hair breakage.

DO NOT USE PRODUCT IF BREAKAGE OCCURS.

    5. If results of strand test are satisfactory, proceed with applying relaxer according to instructions below using the same time determined from the strand test. If strand is not sufficiently relaxed, increase your treatment time from the strand test results, but do not exceed the time range for your client’s hair type.

    STEP 2: MIXING DIRECTIONS

    1. Scoop half contents of Relaxer Creme (A) into mixing tub (C) Add full contents of one Liquid Activator (B).

    2. Mix well with spatula until mixture is uniform, creamy and free of lumps. Let it sit for 5 minutes prior to use. Replace the lid on the remaining unmixed contents of Relaxer Creme (A) and store until your next relaxer application.

    STEP 3: APPLICATION

Part hair into four sections, from center part to back and from ear to ear over crown. Start timing as soon as you begin application. Wear protective gloves. Start application at back sections.

Virgin Hair: Apply Relaxer Creme mixture on root area, approximately 1/8’’ away from scalp, and down onto strand. Use the back of the comb to apply Relaxer Creme mixture. Apply Relaxer Creme mixture quickly and evenly for complete coverage and uniform relaxing. Continue with back sections of hair, working from the crown to the nape. Then apply to front sections leaving hairline until last. Generous application of Relaxer Creme mixture makes smoothing easier. Remove any mixture that comes into contact with skin with a damp cloth saturated with Neutralizing Shampoo.

New Growth: Apply Relaxer Creme mixture to all new growth hair only, section by section, approximately 1/8’’ away from scalp. Avoid overlapping relaxer onto previously relaxed hair. Do not apply the relaxer past the new growth or through to the ends.

NOTE: Throw away any unused mixture immediately. .

    STEP 4: SMOOTHING

After completing application of Relaxer Creme mixture, begin smoothing hair starting at nape area, with back of comb. Do not use the teeth of a comb for smoothing the hair. Gently begin smoothing motion until the timing period is up. Then go immediately to the sink. Do not rub relaxer into the scalp. If relaxer gets on to skin, gently wipe off with a towel saturated with Neutralizing Shampoo.

    STEP 5: RINSE

When time is up, rinse all Relaxer Creme mixture completely from hair with lukewarm water, ensuring that no Relaxer Creme mixture is visible. The more you rinse out the Relaxer Creme mixture, the better the results.

CAUTION: Care should be taken to avoid getting Relaxer Creme mixture into eyes and ears.

    STEP 6: CLEANSING NEUTRALIZING SHAMPOO

After thoroughly rinsing hair, shampoo with Neutralizing Shampoo. Rinse hair thoroughly. Repeat, making sure to remove all visible traces of relaxer.

    STEP 7: CONDITION

Apply a conditioning treatment to hair from roots to ends,

  • NOTE: You must shampoo according to enclosed directions with Ultra Precise Neutralizer Shampoo (not included).

TIME CHART: Hair Texture and Maximum Time (includes Application and Smoothing) Fine: 10-15 minutes Medium: 15-18 minutes Coarse: 18-20 minutes

Permanently Colored Requires less time than untreated hair. Use limited to hair changed no more than four (4) levels. STRAND TEST must be done to determine proper timing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Precise works perfectly for my family! Precise works perfect for me & my teenage daughter. I have been using Precise for more than 20 yrs. It makes our hair manageable without stripping it or taking it out like other relaxers I have used in the past. I have never experienced dry or patchy hair using Precise. After relaxing my hair it is silky with lots of body. We have long, thick healthy grade of hair using this product along with other shampoos and conditioners. Just try it and see for yourself!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect relaxer for me I have thick coarse , frizzy hair. I’ve used tons of relaxers for many years from gentle kids products to very strong relaxers for course hair. Ironically, some of the strong ones didn’t relax very well but damaged my hair. Finally I quit all relaxers due to damage and also I had to move to permanent hair color to cover grey hair and did not want to use 2 strong chemical products on my hair. However, my hair began to look so dry and frizzy even from a gentle no ammonia permanent color. I missed having smoother hair After reading reviews here I decided to try the mild ultra precise relaxer. For the first time I actually did the strand test and the results were great. The rough frizzy texture calmed down, the straightening effect was very good and the product was gentle on my scalp. I was very cautious because this was my first time relaxing hair that had been permanently colored. I realized from the strand test that I could safely go beyond the minimum time frame , but I didn’t want to go the full time like I had in the past. I want to say I did 18 minutes, but this was like 6 months ago. I followed the process with the Clairol Beautiful Collection advanced gray solution semi permanent color 6N toasted hazelnut. My hair is light warm brown w reddish tint so I chose that nuetral shade to avoid more red since gray formulas tend to lean red to cast out gray. My results were stunning ! They semi permanent covered / blended gray pretty good since the relaxer helped my hair to absorb the color. I’ve decided to keep using it even though the coverage isn’t as good each month when I don’t relax my hair. I only relax it 2x a year. For me this wash out color lasts the same time it took my roots to grow out using permanent color abt 4 wks and is less damaging as is the relaxer as well. I have extremely dry hair that doesn’t need daily washing so this method works for me. Today I will use the second application of relaxer and expect the same wonderful results. I did get some hairline breakage/ thinning near my temples months after the process which I didn’t like and will be more careful in that area this time. I’m 59 and my hairline tends to recede in this area anyway. It certainly wasn’t as bad as it was with other formulas I’ve used. The best thing is better straightening results with less damage.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from BEST BOX RELAXER ! For SLEEK Hair I have seen this relaxer for years, but I never found it interesting because of its generic looking package (I know crazy, right?). Well, I decided to give it a shot because I have tried a few relaxers, but none never really satisfied me or gave me that salon look at home. Since relaxers seem not to be the popular thing right now, it is hard to find good advice on a relaxer. I read the reviews on this and decided to give it a shot. Very nice results, in fact salon quality. Just some warnings for new users, it does not come with gloves, neutralizing shampoo, or conditioner (this may turn a few off). In my opinion, the two applications in one box, is really like one application for those who have thick, long, coarse, or a lot of new growth. You probably can use one application if you have hair that is short or cut into a short style. It is definitely worth a try, just follow the same precautions and application as any other relaxer and make sure you base you scalp. Another tip is that when washing the relaxer out, rinse it all out first and put neutralizing shampoo on the hair and let it sit for a few minutes (this reduces the chances of scalp irritations).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love Precise! This is the best perm hands down....We would spend a fortune of Affirm relaxers, one of the other stylist suggested Precise, he stated he works just like the Affirm and he was right! We've been using it every since. It makes the hair " bone straight"....and looks healthy!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product I love this relaxer. I have been using for years. I use the mild formula. I have very fine soft hair and it is great for me! I have never used anything like it before, although I have tried many relaxers throughout the years. This is the best. It makes my hair straight, soft and very conditioned with no breakage. I love it ! Just always read the instructions well before using. If you misuse any chemical on you hair, you will pay a price.

I have never done a relaxer, I am latina with semi-straight thin but frizzy hair, I am looking to relax mostly my front side bangs as well as my edges. would this be a good option for me?

Asked by: DaniiOMB
Hi Sally's, Since I am not working in the Sally's store on a daily basis it might not be a good idea to forward advice on chemicals to the public but, I remember that a mild permanent wave solution with a comb-through would be best for Latina hair type instead of a permanent relaxer. Don't forget the neutralizer. Nice to hear from you again. Joi Theus

Recently my edges started thinning really bad. I started back drinking my carrot juice (8oz.) everyday, they are filling in nicely. My nails have started back growing faster too.
