Rated 3 out of 5 by from Hmmm....formula changed. I guess after all these years Revlon tweaked the formula a bit because years ago(20+ years) when I had my salon I used this relaxer a lot and it would normally break down course hair follicles really nice with results lasting 8-12 weeks. I tried it again in December 2018 for both my mom and my hair. My hair came out good, but the formula wasn’t strong enough for my moms hair and didn’t give me the results I was looking for with her hair. It still looked nice when I was done but I did see some new growth while rinsing and styling her hair so I didn’t get the results that revlon normally produces after a relaxer.

I have natural curly medium thick dry hair, will this help me get it smooth and straight?

Asked by: Amyjo747
This is Carmen927 again. I forgot to tell you NEVER USE HARSH Permanent HAIR DYES ON RELAXED HAIR. ONLY USE TEMPORARY Hair Coloring like Clairol Beautiful or any temporary coloring that has NO AMMONIA OR PEROXIDE IN THE INGREDIENTS. This is very important.

Can I store the unused this leftover cream relaxer?

I have stored it as long a year. Just make sure you don't leave any pieces of hairs in the jar.

is this products for white women with gray hair?

Asked by: patandpeb
Yes if you have naturally curly hair that you want straightened. I would probably use the mild strength to be on the safe side. The regular strength can be harsh on the hair.

Do you have to have a cosmetology license to buy this product at Sally's?

Asked by: suewally
No license required. I have used Revlon since I was 14–that was 40 years ago. I refuse to change because I’m afraid my hair won’t be as straight using another relaxer.
