Rated 5 out of 5 by from Shark Blue Awesome I did dilute mine with a 25 developer. Had to run back to the store because one tube wasn’t enough. So if you have longer hair I suggest 2 tubes unless your hair is thin. It didn’t really take on my natural roots. But that’s ok cause the effect is pretty awesome. Love the way it took to the different colors of blonde in my hair.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from love the color I have never dyed my hair before. This was my first time dying my hair and I used the semi-permanent titanium color. Since I have salt and pepper hair, with more of the salt in the front I used this because I wanted to color my whole head gray. but much to my surprise the titanium toned down my white hair to a nice gray color and some of my white still remained giving it that nice streaked look. Anyway, the titanium color didn't come in right away the first day, but I notice as a couple days pass the color started to intensify and it was better than what I expected. So I do love this color. The instruction say to leave it on for about 40 mins max, and that's what I did. But my hair is pretty thick so not all my hair took the color well. I have to leave it on longer. In all I'm pretty happy with the results.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Horrible... just horrible I am a licensed hairdresser and I bought this color to do my own hair. I wanted some funky peakaboo highlights, no big deal. I love ion hair color and have never had a problem before so I go for it.... my highlights are a dirty orange color. I lifted my hair to a level 9 which should have been more than light enough for this color!!! I don’t know if I maybe got an out of date bottle but I am horrified and very upset!!!!!! DO NOT BUY THIS

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Used to love it... I used the Ion Brights Aqua shade for years and loved it. It was vivid and long-lasting, with pleasant shades when it faded. However, it seems that when they changed the box they must have changed the formula. Now the box is bright and shiny, and the color is flat and dull. So disappointed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sky Blue, amazing! Let me tell you, this hair color is great. This picture was taken after 4 weeks, and I wash my hair probably 3-4 times a week, if not more. After coloring it (which I leave the color in my hair for 45 minutes to an hour) it is a little bit darker blue, but not too much. The color doesn't fade very fast at all. I am so happy with this! I have also used the 'Radiant Orchid' color after I had a salon do my hair two tone purple and didn't want to pay the salon to upkeep. The Radiant Orchid was a beautiful color, super bright and fun. Didn't have issues with it fading fast or anything either. I went to a salon and paid $400+ to go from my hair which was only highlighted (which I highlighted often so my hair was practically blonde), to a two tone purple. They wanted $200+ for upkeep and I would have had to go in every 4 to 6 weeks. I decided to go to Sally's and do a single color myself. I walked in and asked them to point me in the right direction. I bought a packet of bleach and some developer and then the Ion colors were buy 2 get 1 free so I grabbed some Radiant Orchid which was my first time purchasing this brand. $60 total for all of my supplies, including mixing brush, bowls, shampoo, conditioner, the hair color, and a repair treatment for damaged hair. I will only go to the salon from now on for haircuts.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Umm n o Here’s the real tea. Both my mom and I got two separate colors. I chose rose she got the silver pearl shade. We both bleached our hair practically white. Left the color in about an hour and with her hair the color didn’t even show at all. With mine it came out light as heck and after one wash in cold water it was practically gone. We used 2 bottles each. This dye is a joke (,:

Rated 1 out of 5 by from purple doesn't work I have tried this product twice now. followed directions the first time, second time asked a hair and make up professional and did it again. it does not stick. washes out. left it in longer and longer, didn't use with developer (as it says in directions and on website) and used it with a little developer. no good. just made my hair a little darker - no color.

Should I mix developer with this product before applying it to my hair?

Asked by: keziah11
NO. Please don't do this. This is not a permanent hair color. The Semi-Permanent colors are mostly conditioners with lots of color pigments. They go into your hair through the conditioner. This is why just using semi-perm colors can keep your hair in great shape. Only if you bleach your hair are you doing any kind of damage, but putting the semi-perm color usually makes your hair feel a lot better. You can put them on either wet or dry. I have found that if you put them on wet, you can get better pastel colors, but if you want the full color, bright and dark, put it on dry. I also keep the semi-perm on for as long as I can and I get really deep rich bright color. I keep them on for around 2 hours. You may not need that long, but when I was doing the 20-30 min, I just wasn't getting the color I wanted and it didn't stay in as long.

Can you dye your hair with the ion lavender when you used color removal and bleached your hair from red and turned out light pink

Asked by: Rachelloves5sos
I would say no. Lavender is such a really light color when just blonde. And washes out quick. I think the light purple with light purple will come out a different color.

Have anyone tried the titanium color? what is the color results?

Asked by: mommy2davina_
I used the Titanium on my salt & pepper hair (the hair on the top of my head is naturally somewhat lighter than the rest). After using this hair color, my hair had a shiny, silver/gray finish. It also evened out areas in a very flattering, stylish way that had an "old lady look" prior dying it. This dye does NOT lift the existing color on your hair. I am very satisfied with this product & will buy it again.

Asked by: Jackie511
Hi! I dye my hair sky blue and I leave it on for over 4 hours. I've been doing this for almost 2 years. Because Ion Brilliance has no ammonia or peroxide, it doesn't damage hair. Good luck!

My hair is naturally blonde, not light but medium. I tried using Rose and shark blue they were too light. The blue you could see more but not vibrant. What color would you suggest? Aqua?

Asked by: Crazy cat mother
I used a couple different blue shades at different times. Be careful with the deeper blues; it fades to a green/teal which takes many months to fade out.

I wanna use the magenta hair dye for my hair. But I don't know how it will look like on my dark hair. Do I have to get it bleached to make the color be bright and pretty. Or can I just keep my hair normal, and w/o it bleached, will it still be bright? ;_:

Asked by: Tabiideth
If you want it to be bright then you need to bleach. It's a pink color so you don't have to go super light but if you put it on dark hair it will just give you a pinkish tint.
