Rated 3 out of 5 by from average I have owned this for 5 years and it recently broke inside the wand, one of the pieces is plastic for the gears and I could not get the chink to open or close to hold the mandrel, pretty disappointed as I just use it on myself and not continuously. Sad face :(

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Spend More This drill is great as long as ir works! I have already had to buy 3! It works great for a few months then starts getting hot, handle quit on another. I had to take 2 machines and make one. Such a pain to have to buy every few months. i am a professional, spend more money for a better quality and better warranty!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this machine! I got this for Christmas and I absolutely love it. I have had no problems at all. I use it on acrylics, gels, and for custom shaping plastic nail tips. I am very pleased with its performance and I love the look of it sitting on my manicure table.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Ok 4 beginners I received this dremel in my Nail Tech school kit and it's great for beginners for the price, but it starts to act up after repeated use. By acting up, I mean it speeds up on it's own and slows down on it's own and the body of the drill gets very hot after using on all ten nails for a rebalance. I'm not the only student who's dremel did this more than 1/2 the class had this same experience. Hate to give something a bad review, but save up and buy the mani pro brand. You do get what you pay for.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product for the price! High powered little machine. Great for the price! Works well on both natural and acrylics. It also comes with a very detailed DVD for beginners. The only thing that I didn't like is that Sally's doesn't have the bits for this machine. You have to order them from the Medicool company. They are a little pricey, but are also good bits. To bad Sally's doesn't sell them.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice Drill I purchased this drill so that I can add nail services to my list of services offered in my home salon. The drill works really well on acrylics. It's not to heavy and I like the fact that it uses standard drill bits. The cord is a bit short but I'm able to manage. It has variable speed and multi-directional options. It even came with a DVD to show you how to use some additional bits for pedicures. It's nice for a home salon or if you are doing your own nails. I purchased the $8.99 extended warranty just in case something goes wrong, I previously had an electric drill (another brand) and the motor went out one day and I had no replacement warranty.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good enough for at home I bought this drill so I could try to fill glitter tips on my nails. This drill is a nice, quiet, small drill you can easily hold in your hands. It comes with a mandrel barrel, and replacement file heads so when you are done with one you can toss it and use a fresh one. This drill uses standard nail drill bits and should be able to use almost any brands nail bits. I bought the chamois buffer and a few other drill heads at Sally's and they fit this brand nice even though they weren't made for this particular drill. The only drawback there is to this machine, and it might just be my machine in particular, is that the engine kinda stalls once in a while...like the rpms lessen a bit then they pick back up. Other than that it is a nice little drill for do it yourself nail filing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Satisfied customer I learned how to do my own nails when the recession hit, and I couldn't afford $40 to keep getting my nails done. After trial and error I mastered the art of acrylic application using an emory board. All my friends wanted me to do their nails, but it took me so long to file all the nails by hand. I tried the cheap $12 electric file found at walmart and it didn't do squat. So I decided to invest in this one just today and it works great. It has more than enough power to do acrylics, and it doesn't stop if you have to much pressure. It's going to take me a little to get used to it, but I am very glad I bought it.

I have had one of these drills going on 9 years. I have acrylic nails and use it for shaping, filing, fills, removing gel polish etc. The handle has recently started making a screeching sound. Can the plug in handle be replaced without needing to buy the.

Asked by: Globug18
Yes, but only on the actual Medicool website. And the stupid handle is $60. Plus, $8 for shipping. Total rip off. May as well just buy the whole dang drill again. But I will say, mine lasted about 41/2 years before it crapped on me. 2/10/19

It’s hard to remove the little brown piece and it’s worn out so how can I take it off to put the replacement

Asked by: Neakbaybee
I think she means how do you remove th band from the mandrel? I finally tore mine off and am not pushing the new ones on all the way so there is something to grip.

What tools come with it

Asked by: Billiejean
I think it may have come with a E10 MANDREL, one or two SANDING BANDS, and perhaps a pretty useless random "bit". It's enough to start you off. I also bought some other bits, but I tend to only use the Mandrel and the Sanding Bands (which are available at Sally Beauty). If I were to purchase new bits, I'd buy one or two really high-quality ones in specific shapes (I didn't like the ones that I bought from Sally Beauty).

How to place bits in device, mine won't go in

Asked by: Beautifull
You have to twist the piece that's under the silver piece where you put the drill bit in. It says open and close I believe. But just twist it and then put the bit in and then twist it back to lock it so the bit will stay in.
