Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product These dual forms are nice and easy to work with. I'm a beginner at doing acrylics and usually I use nail tips BUT NOT ANYMORE. The best part is these forms are reusable! The only negative I have to say is I wish it had different sizes, my nail beds are a little wider than the average.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very helpful for smooth nails These take some practice. You have to get just the right amount gel in the form. I found it helpful to fill the form and set it to the side. The builder gel will self level. I put a thin layer of gel on my nail and cured it for 30 seconds and then put the form on. I help the form in place for 30 seconds while it cured and then released my hold and let it finish curing. Once I figured out the gel ratio, this definitely produced a perfect nail in less time than using tips and brushing on gel.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love these! I've been using dual forms for a while for my acrylic and my polygel and decided to use these just to test them and I'm happy to say they work perfectly good quality! Ps it says right on the box that its only the dual forms inside.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Love it. Took most of the day at first. Which included a manicure with major cuticles, while getting things done around the house between fingers. Third time using this now that I know which siize is needed and cuticles under control with manicure it took about 1 3/4 hour. Lasted about 2 1/2 - 3 weeks. Looks great and really don't need to use any polish.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from The product and review This particular product is only the nail forms. I thought it came with the poly-gel. I used my acrylic powder and activator and filled in the forms with that( it was a little messy, so i would reccomend poly-gel tube) but the result was greT no trying to file the surface of the nail it was already perfect. I’ll be ordering the gel!

What product do you recommend for forming the nail? Acrylic, gel, etc?

Asked by: MrsRPYee
I found that PolyGel is the easiest to work with on these forms. It doesn't smell, not sticky or runny, and comes out beautiful. If you get real good at the application, you can get away without filing. If you file, the product becomes cloudy and loses it's shine. But without filing, it stays crystal clear. You can do encapsulating with it too. Be creative. You sculpt the product in the form, cure for 30 seconds, remove the form, and you have a beautiful nail. Practice makes perfect.

This product consists of the nail forms only, theres no gel or sculpting kit. I'd reccomend using a dip powder for your fills. I've been doing that for a bit now.

How do you remove them after you've created the nail & they've grown out?

Asked by: Packfan83
The forms do not stay on your finger. As soon as the nail has set up, if it's acrylic, or cured, if it's gel, you pull it off. It's job is only to form the product, be placed on your finger, and then be removed, so you are left with a very pretty nail. But it takes practice. You can look up youtube video's that shows you how to use them. They also come with a little CD, that shows you how to use them, but I couldn't get mine to play. So I looked on youtube. Hope that helps.

Does this item come with glue to stick the nail?

Asked by: Joycee32
No, you put the acrylic product into the nail form and fit it on your nail. Either put hand into uv light for 1-2 minutes, or let set on it's own as directed, then give a light twist of the form & it will pop off, leaving a shiny nail. Follow directions and you should be fine..

How do these hold up when wet? How long do the last? WhY does it take to remove them?

Asked by: Sunshine775
It sounds like you have the wrong idea about how to use these. You only use these forms to sculpt a product in them. You can use Acrylic, Gel or Polygel to sculpt with the forms. After you shape the nail in the form, you turn it over and gently press onto your own natural nail. Both Gel and Polygel need to be cured under a UV light or an LED light. Acrylic will set up in a few minutes on it's own, do not cure under a light. When they are done, remove the form. It comes off with a little pulling, and you can use it over and over again. They aren't very good to use to do a backfill though. You will have to sculpt that free hand, or remove most of the product by filing off, and use the form to make a new nail. I hope this clears things up for you. Reread the instructions and the pictures are helpful to show you how to use them.

No tip necessary. Sculpt the nail on the form, not on the natural nail. Then turn over and apply to the natural nail. Easy to follow directions come with the forms.

Need UV to cure?

Asked by: Colleen717
If you're using acrylic, no. But work fast because it sets up fast. If you're using gel, especially polygel, yes. Both have to be cured with uv or led light. But, polygel is easier to work with, and you can take all the time you want. Regular gel is a bit runny.

What nail shape, is in the Form A Nail kit? Is it in a Curve form, or just Basic straight? Thank you in advance for your help.= )

Asked by: Frnchy kisses
The form is curved inside, so it doesn't work good for clients with a flat nail bed. However, if you turn the form inside out, while you prep the nail, and then turn it back when you're ready to put the product in it, it stays flat just long enough. Hope this helps.

How do you balance?

Asked by: Leener221
Are you asking how to keep the form on the nail while it sets? I got a pack of mini hair clips (smallest ones at the dollar store) and once I position the form down where I want it on my nail I wait a minute and then I position the hair clip over and around the form where the cuticle and finger meet. The clip tongs will hold the form in place against the nail with just enough pressure. I can then go on to the next nail. Each one takes about 10 to 15 mins to fully set. Hope this helps

How many forms come in each box?

Asked by: thaissaa
If I’m remembering correctly (I finally stopped biting my nails and tossed out my acrylic stuff years ago), this set includes sizes 0-9, so 10 sizes. It was either 1 copy or 2 of each size, but you have to “press and hold gently” so it forms correctly, so I’m pretty sure it was one copy. Hopefully this helps! This was the best kit I’ve ever found since it works with powder or gel.

Will these work with gel builder that cures in a UV or LED light? If so, how?

Asked by: Cometgirl
My inclination is to say no. This form is designed for old school style acrylic solutions. It basically allows you to apply an acrylic top to your nail in one step, to a long length if preferred, acting as the nail form, and it dries to a slick surface with very little surface filing needed. I imagine putting gel inside this form would just coat the form and not cure itself into the nail. These forms work with a solution that air cures.

I'm not sure, but I think you could. After getting the acrylic I found I was allergic...I'm trying to find a way to apply the acrylic without touching the cuticle.....the nail forms make it easy to apply...if you've had any experience with allergies let me know.

If you have wide nail beds than these dual forms are not going to work.  There are a few larger ones (example for thumbs), but most of them are average to narrow width.  Hope this helps.

Asked by: Fariba kiani
Nail prep is essential... If you are using the standard bonder, with the liquid and powder acrylic, the nail bed needs to be prepped just like in any other circumstance. Nail bed needs to be filed slightly rough, a good dehydrator needs to be used and a bonder. If you're experienced, and you have a nail dremell, then don't worry about the oozing that comes out the sides. Your e-file can take care of that and you will still have saved a ton of time.
