Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for natural nail fixes I keep this and 5 second nail glue in my kit and am so glad I have it. I smashed my fingertip in a drawer in December and now (April) there is a divot in my natural nail. This and the glue are the perfect solution to fill in that spot until it grows out. It took a bit of filing to get it perfectly smooth but now it doesn't show under polish. I also use it when I break a nail or a nail splits. This is a manicure saver!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I've been using use ibd nail filler powder for the past 5 years. I use it to smooth out the ridges on my thumbnail and to patch a broken nails back together, until they grow out. It's really easy to use and no harsh chemical smell. To use, I apply a drop of nail glue (prefer ibd brush on resin) over repair area and sprinkle a thin coat of nail filler powder over the glue. Tap off excess powder, and then apply a second coat of glue over the powder. Lightly buff until smooth. Then I continue with my regular nail routing. It lasts long and grows out with your natural nail. Can remove easily. Great product!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No nails vs. long nails If it weren't for 5 Second Nail Filler and Glue, I would have no nails as my nails are paper thin. My nails are long and beautiful when coated with these products. Thank you Sally's.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Nail Support Excellent product!!! I use this weekly and it doesn’t a fantastic job of providing strength to my nail tips (free edge). It’s also very affordable, which is also a plus. I will continue to purchase this product, as well as the fabulous nail glues made by this brand.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Filler helps cracked nail I went to a nail salon as my nail was cracked and this is what the used with nail glue to help fix it, so I bought the nail filler powder. The nail is finally starting to grow in.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works and holds very well So very happy I purchased the 5 second filler powder. The day after it arrived my nail cracked. Also purchased the brush on super glue and these 2 together work miracles. 2 weeks later and still holding! The only downside is the bottle doesn't open to put the excess back to get a container while you are shopping. Will definitely be buying more

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quick and Easy I bought this because my nails split on the sides usually below the quick. Nail glue alone just wasn't enough to fix the splits long enough for the nail to grow out. I applied glue all over my nail, sprinkled with the powder then another coat of glue. It didn't take a lot of buffing to get it nice and smooth and even. Applied a coat of clear polish, and you can't even tell the nail is split. It's held very well for well over a week so far!

No businesses open and all staying in due to Covid-19. Can I use brush on glue and mail fill in powder until salons open again?

Asked by: Bonzie17
A cheaper quicker and easier alternative to doing your nails would be to just purchase a container of nail acrylic, brush on nail glue and a (dip powder) gel activator. Same as dip powder nails but a lot cheaper then buying the dip kits works and wears just as well if not better. Brush the glue on about 1/4 of your nail, dip in acrylic Go to next nail and do the same when all are done LIGHTLY dust off with a SOFT makeup brush, apply glue again a little farther up toward the cuticle dip do same steps as before and then cover entire nail in glue dip again, finish all nails brush off nails apply gel activator (must use) and file. Beautiful nails.

I nails currently have an overlay, I was going to switch to dip powder but would this work for filling my nails?

Asked by: blinkey1
yes it should work. It takes a little practice to get it to smooth. I use a couple of things a rough sided file and then a 4 sided file to get a final smooth finish. I also transfer the powder to a small Rx eye dropper bottle with the one hole it makes it easier to control where the powder goes after you apply a small amount of glue. Good luck be patient. I have been using this for over 45 years.

what sort of glue should i use with the powder.?

i have the nail filler powder, but no glue. Where do I get the glue?
Asked by: Jessie
You can get the glue at Sally's too. Make sure you get the 5-second Professional Nail Glue (with the purple stripe on it). The Ultra Fast Glue dries too fast. It is usually located right there with the powder.
