Rated 5 out of 5 by from Use this all the time! I've been using A.S.P. resin for sometime now and it works great. The ONLY issue is the extender nozzles don't seem to fit easily. I have to press mine on with a plier to make sure it's seated right so it doesn't come off during an application! But this product in and of itself is great!!! Will use it in my business as long as it is available!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from When product is not old, it works great. I normally shop at one local Sally's. The few bottles of resin they had on the shelf were apparently old, because it would not adhere to my nails. I ordered a bottle on line thinking it would be new. It was, and it worked just like expected. I think there should maybe be an expiration date on this product.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from great for wraps This is a good resin. I recommend using it with a wrap, not alone, or the ends of your nails will be too sharp-feeling. Also, it's a little brittle alone, but wears well with a wrap. Applies easily once you get the hang of it: squirt a THIN line down nail and then tilt the bottle so it doesn't keep running out as you smooth it around with the applicator tip. It can flood the cuticles easily, so use a cure spray or use extreme care how you hold your hand while it dries. Don't even try to use a nail brush because the resin will make it hard in seconds. You will need a medium file to smooth it out once it's dry. If you intend to polish over it or to use a gel sealer, you will need to use a fine file or nothing can grab to the shiny finish. I definitely recommend purchasing the extra application tips, because the resin remains will plug the tip after a couple applications, even if you "burp" it like the instructions tell you. I haven't tried the resin activator spray because I already had Hurry Up Nails spray, which dries it instantly. To redo your nails, it files easily and also soaks off with acetone.

Is this the same as the brush on glue that comes with the quick dip kit?

Asked by: Seashellzzz
It is very runny, it's not thick like my experience with brush on glue. You need to add nozzle to the bottle and I use an activator to set it quickly.

What is risen

Asked by: Silver50
Risen is what our Savior has done. If you mean resin, it's a sticky flammable organic substance, insoluble in water, exuded by some trees and other plants. Resin can be used for many applications; in the case of nails, you use fiberglass, cut it to size, apply the resin, then spray with activator. Follow with another layer of resin, then another cut piece of fiberglass, then resin again. Buff in between for best results.

What's the difference between nail resin and nail glue?

Was trying to decide if I should use lightless gel for my wraps or the nail resin. What's the main difference of the two?
Asked by: Pumpkin Pie
unlike the Light-Less Gel (nail glue) ASP recommends their Resin to be used with silk wraps to build layers of the nail, also, IBD states that their resin is thicker than their glue.

IS THIS A REPLACEMENT RESIN FOR THE ASP QUICK DIP ACRYLIC KIT?

Asked by: GRACEBLESSING
I'm not familiar with the dip kit but I would guess the answer is no. I believe the dip kits use a gel product.
