Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best base/top coat I’ve tried I’ve been dipping my nails for about a year and have used Aristic and Gelish brands purchased at professional beauty supply stores paying twice as much at wholesale, and Prodip is by far the best I’ve used. I’m a hairstylist and I have working hands and the prodip lasts twice as long without lifting as the other brands....I can’t get 21 days out of an application but if I can get 10 days I’m happy. My only complaint would be the hideous pink color that comes in the kit, but it works well with other dipping powder brands.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great kit, not a great color Kit works great! This is my very first time doing anything to nails other than regular polish. They look ugly and lumpy after the dips. So don’t freak out lol. Just follow the directions and then when it’s time to shape with your file, file and buff the top until it’s all smooth and not too thick. That part took me a while cause I’m so neurotic, but after practicing a few times I know I’ll be faster. Can’t wait to get other colors.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great at Home Product I had dip nails done at the salon three times at a cost of $55 each time. I knew I couldn’t keep going at that price, but I really did like the results. The gal at Sally’s recommended this product. When I encountered problems during the process, I reviewed the instructions and was able to fix the problem or figure out what I was doing wrong. I’m including a picture of my hand the first time I tried it. You can see how I messed up the tip on the pinky. Also you can see I filed a bit of my skin near the cuticle on my pinky and ring finger. I’m much better now thanks to a little bit of practice. Also, ProDip does not recommend you use another dip power with their enclosed products. As you can see, I also used a white, which is the brand quick dip that was available at Sally’s and I have had no noticeable problems. I really like this product. I totally recommend it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Doesn’t work! Doesn’t work! I was really looking forward to being able to do my own nails. After you apply the first coat and dip in the powder it comes out clumpy and uneven.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just like the Salon! After getting dip powder at the salon and spending $40 per application I thought I’d try this myself. I honestly didn’t expect as good of a result. It reasonably quick and I followed the video instructions on YouTube. Advice would be to make sure you buff your entire nail after the activator is applied and not just the edge or you might end up with a bumpy texture. Love this kit but bought a different colour as I don’t like pink. Highly recommend if you have more than 10min of patience.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I'm amazed! First time using and looks so awesome! I'm a recovering nail biter and still have issues with biting the skin around my nails. I have super thin nails to begin with and have been going to the nail salon every few weeks to either get gel polish (doesn't last long with brittle nails) and I recently tried SNS but it was getting so expensive! I bought this on a whim last night and it took under a half hour to do. I know I need to keep practicing, but they don't look bad for a first timer! My nails are super strong as well. I will definitely re-buy this kit when I run out of the polish. I highly recommend it to anyone!

How could you use this and do pink with white tips?  Thanks

Asked by: Pandabear760
You will have to dip twice first, the white then the pink.

How long does this last before peeling/cracking? I’m currently using the Kiss kit and my dip cracks after four days.

Asked by: NeedHelpPlease
I've not had any trouble with the dip systems, I usually do a "fill in" after about 2 wks, but only because of the growth, never had a problem with cracking or peeling.

I have really short nails, not to the quick but close. Can I use this product?

Asked by: Sandysew
You can it might be a little hard to apply. I too have short natural nails so I actually apply artificial and then use the kit.

I did this for the first time. It was ok. It never did shine. I had to put a gel coat over it and sure it for it to look nice. It ended up looking dried out (color). Did I do something wrong?

Asked by: lingling
You have to apply the "activator" layer. That's what makes it shiny. It should have it with your starter kit.

Hello, I recently did my first application of this product. I’m not sure where I went wrong as I followed the directions. However, my nails came out lumpy. Also, after I applied the last coat of the top coat, my nails are splotchy.

Asked by: Courtttt
I would recommend watching a youtube video because the instructions are horrible. You have to apply the primer. Dip all ten nails. By them the powder has settled a little. Remove the excess powder with a make up brush. Make sure you first application of primer is midway and then the second applications you start at the cuticles. The apply the activator. Your nails will be smooth.

I am using nail polish with this product, on my natural nails it usually lasts 3-4 days, but whenever I use this product they start chipping within hours of painting them. I did my nails 8 hours ago and one is already chipping. How can I make it last?

Asked by: mariepr36
I will rub my natural nails with a dab of alcohol, this will dehydrate them. Do it after buffing, right before application. I also dip 3 times, they will last longer.
