Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very happy I just used it and am so glad I got the kit. I was concerned as some others mentioned, because each coat remained tacky, even after curing. I kept on going following the directioions and curing 30 seconds after each coat and to my surprise, after topcoat is applied and cured, you wipe the tackiness off with the included product.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works well, but there's a trick to know I saw reviews about polish being tacky after curing for the suggested time and longer, and had the same thing happen. But after quickly googling it, that's to be expected with gel polishes until you're done and use the last step. The Dehydrator/Cleansing wipe step takes that tacky layer off. I'm actually really happy with the results and I'm looking forward to being more creative with my nails. My only con, which is minor, is that the light is small so I can't cure my fingers and my thumb at the same time... No biggie.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent value Great way to do your nails during this pandemic. I will return to the nail salon when I can but I will probably go only every other month instead of monthly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from as fancy or simple as you choose I have been using this kit for nearly 2 years and am completely satisfied with it. My nails have ridges and split very easily but since using this product I have not had one broken nail. It took some practice but it is very easy for me now. I freshen up my nails about once every 2 weeks and have only had to remove the entire layers 3 times in 2 years. I use regular nail polish color when I want to jazz things up and remove the color with non-acetone remover. I am buying this kit again for a young friend going off to college who has to count her pennies now. :-)

I just got this kit and used it for the first time yesterday. I followed the instructions but the polish didn't cure properly and smudged. I would like to give this another try before returning it, is there anything I can do differently for better results

Asked by: Liyashay
Hi Liyashay, Yes. Did you made sure that your nails were free from any types of oils like lotion or cream. This happened to me when I first tried the kit too. Make sure you use the 2-n-1 dehydrator and cleansing wipe first. Then put your Bonder on next. I let mines air dry a little first. I put the base coat on next then let it dry with the LED curing lap. Then I start applying my first coat of gel nail polish, letting it also dry under the LED curing lap for about 1 minute top. Apply about 1-2 more coats of gel nail polish (it all depends on how dark you want your color)I do one hand at a time with this process. After I'm satisfy with my color. I apply the top coat and let it dry also for about a minute. Then I wipe my nails with the 2-n-1 dehydrator using the cleansing wipe or a cotton ball. Then repeat step on other hand. This process have my nails looking like its been done by professionals. Hope this helps. Happy Holidays!

Hello, I bought this kit about two years ago. I want to know if the curing LED lamps can completely cure gelish polygel? Gelish website recommends 36W 350-450 Nanowatts

I bought the asp starter kit. Love it. However, I now need a new bottle of base coat, bonder, cleansing wipe, and gel polish. My local sally never has them. Can I order them from you.?

Asked by: Bettystick
Our local store has them, but I've had the kit for a year now & the polish tends to separate my nails and I have to regrow them every time. I don't know that I will purchase more again.

How do you change the color when using this system?

Asked by: SandyCrone
You can remove the gel Polish first by soaking in Polish remover and then scrapping the polish off the nails. It is easy to damage the nail bed during this process though, so be careful.

has anyone tried to cure actual gel or acrylic with the lamp, and if you have, did it work??.. im getting the kit either way but if i can add a little length with the gel as well, that would be amazing!!

Asked by: loughrantaryn15
I have the LED lamp. It does cure the gel, but if you put it on too thick, it wont cure it all the way no matter how long you hold it under the lamp. Be sure to use thin coats and just use several layers to get a solid color. It works better that way. My complaint is the removal process. does not work as well as it says on the bottle. I am going to try the pre-measured packaged removers to see if it works better than the liquid does.

What watage is this lamp ?

Asked by: Teprlew12
On the back of the transformer for the light it states "no more than 6 watts".  I have used this unit 3 times now for my nails and have left my nails in double the time stated for LED light curing and naill results have been perect every time. So if states 30 seconds for each curing phase - I leave them in for 60 seconds. All good.

Anyone have issues with the heating lamp? I didn't apply a heavy coat of the bonder nor the base coatwon't take, applied very clean layer. After 10min under lamp nails are still super tacky. Help? :(

Asked by: 1A2daeJ3
I thought the same thing at first. Each layer feels tacky until you wipe it off with the 2 in one cleansing wipe.

Can you add fake nail tips for length using these gel products? Anyone tried this? Sorry I should have been more specific when I first asked.

Asked by: Lisavv79
I have not done this personally but when I was getting my nails done by the salon, my tech had to do a fake tip one time. So yes it is totally doable. The only thing you need to make sure you do is buff down where the tip meets the nail. Good luck!

What's the difference between this kit and the gelish mini complete starter kit? Other than the money of course. Is one better than the other, I'm trying to invest in a gel kit so I can start doing them on my own but I'm not sure the difference between these two.
