IBD introduces LED/UV Natural Builder Gel. IBD's top selling clear builder gel is now LED and UV curable for faster, beautiful nails. The new formula has the same leveling properties and viscosity as the current IBD builder gels.

The cover gels offer opaque color coverage, mask fill lines, and can be applied over tips and natural nails for added strength. There is no chipping or peeling and lasts for weeks. Perfect for natural overlays and great to use with any manicure or pedicure.
  • Cure for 1 minute under LED lamp or 3 minutes under UV lamp. Keep capped when not in use. Do not store in sunlight.
  • Cure time: LED 1 minute, UV 3-4 minutes

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Hard Gel This is a great hard gel. If it is done right there is no lifting & no cure-burn. I have used other hard gels & have not had the success as I do with this one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Builder I bought this builder for the first time about a year ago, I will probably never go back to acrylics. The smell is almost non existent, it self levels nicely, and it’s not too thick. Now I say is I had been working with acrylics for so long I thought it would be convenient to apply thicker layers to save time ( I was using the two ball methods with acrylic) and boy was I wrong. If you put to much of this builder on it will BURN while it flash cures (with me LED light it cures within 30 secs) It’s also great even when you don’t use tips and you don’t want to glue on tips.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Product But Super Small container I didn’t buy this product thinking it was going to be huge but it’s pretty small so be mindful of that when ordering. But the product is great

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love this product! I bought this so I could have 'salon' nails again. It took some time to get the hang of it, but it was worth it. You MUST apply a thin layer, otherwise, you have lifting. It took me a couple of weeks to figure that one out. I use it with my LED light and it works great, especially since my natural nails are paper thin. I can build my nail out so that I end up with a longer tip and then apply LED/UV clear to it. Works great if you remember to apply it thinly. I found a website that told me how to put the builder on so I don't get it too close to the cuticle -- which causes lifting.Put the gel on your brush, then put a dab on your nail close to the cuticle. Then make a circular motion to allow it to 'drift' towards your cuticles. It works for me every time! It also lasts a LONG time, which is great considering how much you get in that little jar. Thin is the key!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy To Use As A Newbie, Great Product! I've been wanting to try DIY acrylic nails and didn't really know where to start (my natural nails are bendy and awkwardly shaped; I wanted something to even out the surface). My local Sally's salesperson recommended this builder gel and clearly explained what I needed and how to do it. She was so helpful and didn't make me spend a fortune! I know I probably should have used gel polish, but I end up using my regular polishes and acrylic paint to do nail design. After prepping my natural nails I use a chip-free bonder, do a layer (or 2) of this builder gel (I used clear but will be buying "pink" as well), cure, wipe clean with rubbing alcohol, nail polish (make sure it is DRY), acrylic paint design (allow to dry), another layer of builder gel (add rhinestones now before you cure), cure, rubbing alcohol, top coat, cure, rubbing alcohol, and you're done! Make it as thick as you need, it doesn't feel heavy on your nails like acrylics. Be sure to clean off your brush in between and keep cuticle area clean while applying product (I used a toothpick to drag off excess). Be warned that the product will start to have bubbles so work slowly and carefully.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from It's Really Good! This is a beautiful Light Pink and it works great! However, I think it should be just a little bit more darker so it can hide nail tips.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great quality !!! I bought this builder gel about 2 weeks ago and decided to try it out despite some of the negative reviews on here.. I'm not sure why it didn't work for those people but this product is amazing .. i used an LED curing lamp and it works perfectly! You can use either UV or LED and it works! If you use a proper nail blonde and dehydrator for your nails this works wonders... I also used a gel base polish before applying the builder gel... and it's solid !!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing I'm obsessed with this product. Once you get the hang of it it's perfect for anyone who wants to save time and money by doing your nails yourself. I do recommend watching a YouTube video so don't get lifting and peeling.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Gel is strong and smells surprisingly good I received the clear gel instead of the natural I ordered but haven't had time to fuss about the return so I decided to use the clear until I get around to making another order. It works really great. Super strong and hard when cured. My previous gel would seem softer after 1 week. Good bond, smells floral-ish during application and filing, holding up great the 1st week.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Product I am so happy with the performance and ease of application of ibd Builder Gel. It is equal to or better than other UV Gels I have used, and about half the price. I have been using UV Gels for about eight yrs. and I would definitely recommend this product to a friend. In fact I already have.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bettery Than Acrylic I love doing my own nails since I hate going to salons. I tried acrylics but they always lifted! I switched to gel and will never go back. I'm not a pro however after watching the IBD video, I am now! The builder gel is thicker and doesn't set quickly so you can work it until you are happy with it. I wish the pink was a little more deeper but other than that I'm completely happy with it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love It!!!! I have been doing my nails for 20 years now. Acrylic is nice but ALWAYS lifts on me whether I do them or get them done. I have used gel in the past but they always cracked on me. I am a waitress so I am always washing my hands. I decided to give this brand a shot. If you follow all procedures as described on the cd, you will not be disappointed. They have not lifted or cracked. I am really happy with this product line.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the IBD Introductory Gel Kit I decided to buy the IBD builder gel and introductory gel nail kit after a bad experience at a nail salon a few weeks ago. The place was filthy, but the young girl seemed sweet and I had a new set of gel nails put on with her product. Unfortunately, the set of gels from her lifted and chipped quite quickly. Not wanting to subject myself to anything bacterially or fungally harmful at a salon again, I thought I would give doing my own gels a try. I watched the IBD video and read the intructions and gave this kit a whirl. The gel is thick, but it went on beautifully and self levelled. I am thrilled with the results and how strong and natural the gel and my nails feel. I am a life long nail biter and not used to applying nail polish or taking care of my hands. If I can use this product and get wonderful results, then anyone can. I can't stop staring at my nails. I am so thrilled with the results .

Rated 3 out of 5 by from This product is thicker than the regular UV gel, it is easier to apply, but you must 'flash cure' one nail at a time for 10 secs or so, then it will not run onto your cuticles, apply sparingly, I used it for overlays on natural nails and pink and whites. Overall a good product, but do not apply too thick.

I like the builder gel, but my nail polish peels off in one piece in less than 48 hours.  I watched YouTube videos and have prep the nail with a nail prep and even used Bonder base coat and this still happens.  I have used regular polish. What’s wrong?

Asked by: Euroskn1
Same thing happens to me and with uv gel polish and it’s really frustrating

Can I use regular polish over the builder gel?

Asked by: 0blanche0
Yes. My polish stays on really well if I buff my nails down before applying it.

I know there is different types of builder gels and sculpting gels and some can't be soaked off, but I was wondering if the IBD hard gel sold at sally's could be soaked off? I've been using it for years, but always file it off instead of soaking it.

Asked by: kitkate13
Yes it can be soaked off. Works best if you use 100% acetone.

what kind of LED lamp for curing?

Asked by: electrosef
Hi! You can use any LED or UV ray lamp to cure this gel. Keep in mind this gel has a high heat spike! So be sure to cure in 3 second intervals. Ie; in the lamp for 3 seconds, out for 3 seconds and so on and so forth, then give it 1 full before removing the dispersion layer. 60 seconds in led or 2 minutes in uv. Hope this helps!
