Rated 1 out of 5 by from Does not cure in 3 minutes as indicated; returned This topcoat did not cure in 3 minutes for me, when used over my still-tacky lacquered nails. I followed the instructions, cured it for 3 minutes under my lamp, and it was still tacky to the touch. I'll be sticking with the regular Seche Vite quick dry top coat. Luckily, Sally accepts returns no questions asked, so this went back to the store. Would not recommend.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from First Time Using Brand I am not by far pleased with product ! I’ve used OPI Gel Top Coat And I decided to try new product . This product is thin and shine is not good ! Doesn’t cover confetti effects or glitter even after four coats ! I’m very disappointed and expected a glossy effect and got a semi shine dull look

Rated 1 out of 5 by from HORRIBLE THIS IS THE WORST TOP COAT I'VE EVER USED. THE SMELL IS UGGHHH EVEN AFTER CURING AND YOU CAN SEE EVERY SCRATCH IN THE NAIL FROM FILING, EVEN AFTER BUFFING. IT'S WAY TOO THIN. AND I BOUGHT 2 OF THEM. WASTE OF $$$!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Topcoat Ever!! I have used this for years and have started buying it on my own and take it to my nail tech to use on my nails because she doesn't use it normally. It is harder, doesn't chip and lasts longer than any other I've found on the market. When it is fully cured it feels like glass on my nails. It allows me to get on my way after a fill quicker because once it starts curing it has no tackiness like other top coats. I highly recommend this product! And a note to the manufacturer - DO NOT CHANGE THE FORMULA!!! It works great, don't ruin it by trying to "improve on it".

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Use with regular polish! Absolutely love this! I use it over any regular polish. Let each coat of polish dry for about a minute, then apply top coat and cure for 10 minutes and you won't have any problems with smudging (like other reviewers have stated.) Works great on fingernails and toenails. Can do my toenails and then put on shoes! Been using for years and highly recommend!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love This! I love this! I do Orly Bonder Base Coat, two coats of china glaze polish (or whatever you have), two coats of this top coat. I do let the polish dry in between coats for a couple minutes, not long. I did find that while the top coat cures in the time stated on the bottle, the layers underneath take longer. I do this and it seems to solve the problem: after nail polish has been applied and given a few mins to dry, apply one coat of the top coat. Cure 2 minutes under UV. Apply the second coat of top coat, cure each hand for an additional 4 minutes. Go one more round if you think they aren't quite dry. I have used this method and then left for work (as a waitress) and my nails were still perfect at the end of my shift. It really does work! It is long wearing and totally comes off with relier polish remover. A must have!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Top Coat! This top coat is in fact a good choice if you know how to use it. You must wait until your polish is dry!! Trial and error led me to discover this as the instructions state to use on freshly manicured nails. I have the best results if I apply this the next day. If you apply too soon, the polish underneath is still tacky which leads to smudging and indenting - plus when it fully dries it will chip easier. Right now, I painted my nails on Tuesday, did the top coat on Wednesday - it is now Monday morning and I have one small chip on my right thumb (I have had multiple baths/showers, done dishes etc which I do not wear gloves for. I cure mine under a led light, only because I am too lazy to dig out my uv lamp but also led is better for your skin! I do like this version better than the original, it doesn't thicken and to me it doesn't smell as bad either!!

Will this work as a no wipe top coat when applying powders?

Asked by: Cyndi1966
I've tryed using it with powders and it didn't work. My powders could have been the problem as they were cheap

does this keep nails polish from turning yellow

Asked by: dottiemu
If used on acrylic it might due to the uv light. In my experience while indoor tanning my French manicure's always turned yellow from the uv light. I'd stick to using this on natural nails just to be safe. Or if doing a french manicure on acrylics us an undercoat with a pearl sheen to it to hide the yellow.

Will direct sunlight work?

I noticed that even the polishes from the normal gel kit with a UV light I had would begin to cure if I did my nails outside and the sun shifted so that I was in dappled shade and the spots of sun hit the nails or brush, as I was working. So, I'm wondering if UV cured, non-gel top coats like this can be cured by standing outside. It seems like that would expose the fingers to less intense UV.
Asked by: Bea
I honestly don't know the answer to this, maybe give it a shot and see what happens? My only thought is that the UV you get from a lamp is far more intense than what you're getting in the sun, so the length of time it takes to cure might be a lot longer?

Will this work with LED light?

Just wanted to see if this would work with an LED light as well as the UV
Asked by: Anonymous
No, this has to be sealed with a UV light or it will not cure.
