Rated 1 out of 5 by from Simply doesn't work I bought this a over a week ago due to the rave reviews. It did nothing but dry my cuticles out. I tried the first time with just a little then tried more on a different day then tried soaking my nails today. Didnt do anything when I push my cuticles back just stayed the same but dried them out each time. Disappointing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Oldie but goodie Oldy but goodie! My tried and true cuticle remover. I have left this product a few times but I always return so I'm not leaving it again and a little goes along way so the bottle lasts forever

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just buy this instead Works better then anything I've tried before. It's fast and easy this does what all other removers say they will do but don't. I love it. Stop wasting your money on others. Like I did ...for years.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Best This is hands down the best cuticle remover I've ever used. It works quick and it gets the dead skin off. I've tried many brands and this works.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love this stuff! *Please read for proper use. First, to set things straight: Blue Cross is a liquid, not a gel or lotion. You use very little and it works very fast.  I have been using this for years. It's easy to use when you're stingy when applying the remover. The quality and effectiveness are far above standard, and the price makes it unbeatable. I put a couple of drops on the cuticles.-Only enough to run around the edge of where the cuticle and the nail bed meet, not the whole nail. Alot of the times when I do my nails I use a pointed beauty Q-tip to apply it. Only leave it on for a matter of seconds, maybe 15-30 seconds if you are nails are in neat-to-average condition. Repeat if the cuticle needs to be treated some more. Make light use of a cuticle stick and the dead skin will wipe right off. Wash hands and continue grooming your nails. Tips Start with 2-3 nails at a time. I suggest using gloves instead of using your bare hands when applying the cuticle remover, or using a small applicator of some sort – like my pointy Q-tip. Do not use cuticle scissors or other sharp objects when using this.  Works great for toes and calluses. Always point away from the face. :-)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth the money :) I agree that this product removes cuticles without hassle. Since it’s liquid form, I find it easier to apply with a small brush when applying and of course you want to use nail kit tools to scrape around the cuticle. This Didn’t irritate my skin or burn at all. I will definitely buy again. you get a pretty big bottle and it beats constantly paying Nail Salon prices!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not for someone with sensitive skin I bought this because of the high reviews, it was a larger bottle than the brand I normally use for the same price. I've used this a few times and every time my hands and fingers break out in a horrible rash. The product does work. But my hands are now red, cracked and burning. I wont be buying this product again. I will stick with the other brand I use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it! Amazing!!! This works like magic! Only negative is that it's super watery but it works great and for a huge bottle it'll definitely last a while! Great buy!!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from WOW !!! Really impressed! I bought this based on the great reviews, and I'm super glad I did. I hate, hate, hate messy cuticles and I have always battled them. I used to use a nail clipper to cut them, until someone told me about 1/2 jaw cuticle nippers. Problem was I always end up clipping too close here and there and end up bleeding or with sore skin. The Blue Cross remover is like a miracle. It is really watery, like everyone says, so I use a makeup brush to apply it around my cuticles. Rub it in, let it work for a couple minutes then just push the cuticle back with a pusher. Whatever cuticle stuff that sticks on your nail, just scrape it off with the other end of the pusher... it comes right off. Wash your hands and you are done. It used to take me probably 25 minutes to do my cuticles ... now it takes me about 10 minutes or less. You get so much product in this bottle and only have to use so little, it seems this bottle will last me a lifetime.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Everything I expected and more! After reading the reviews online about this product I decided to try it out for myself. I was SHOCKED!!! It is worth your money. It is true the product is a little runny. I've used it twice in the last two months and I would recommend it to anyone looking for cuticle remover that works!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This product is amazingly perfect!!!! MUST HAVE! This cuticle remover is so surprising. You just need to apply a small amount on your cuticle and BOOM!, after few second, you can use the cuticle stick to remove the dead skin easily. SO FAST AND EFFECTIVE. Also, after cleaning the cuticle, you don't feel dry like when you use Sally Hansen's one. It's so inexpensive and works perfectly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this remover! I've been using SH Cuticle Remover (blue gel) for the last year. Since I finally ran out, I decided to give this a try since it has gotten so many good reviews. Yes, it's runny but it works REALLY well! I actually have gel polish on right now so it helped it to sit in the areas that I needed it. After a little while, I used a cuticle pusher to remove the excess cuticle and it did a fabulous job. When I was done, I wiped away any excess off. It didn't burn or tingle my skin. I also notices that my skin wasn't dry after like after using SH. I'm thrilled with this purchase!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great As a cosmetology student it is a great cuticle remover. However, it's very runny, but it really helps to remove the cuticle and make the nail look nice.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Absolutely the BEST! Talk about great stuff. You won't be disappointed with this cuticle remover, because that's just what it does and does it quickly. And it does it better than any other I've ever tried, and that's a lot. It is very thin, but I read other reviews prior to purchasing and bought a small bottle with an adjustable squirt top at the same time to regulate the amount dispensed. This prevents waste as it is easier to control. Since then I have also cleaned out an old nail polish bottle and brush and filled it with the Blue Cross Cuticle Remover. That also works great and gives me an even smaller bottle to pack along when traveling. I highly recommend this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A must have for home manicures! I purchased this after reading the great reviews and OMG! I love it. Looks like a cheap afterthought in the cuticle remover line up but this works like a charm. I carefully tilt and drip one drop on each nail on one hand and work the product in with the other massaging the cuticle. I then scrape gunk I did not was even there with either an orange stick or the nail on the hand I'm massaging with. I then get my nail brush and some hand soap under warm water to remove the gunk and product. I repeat the same for the other hand. I work alot with my hands training dogs so I get dry ugly cuticles within a week so I follow with a metal remover for stubborn hard cuticles and its so much easier to get rid of while my hands are still damp. I love this thing! I find myself painting my nails more often now that blue cross has made it easier!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pleasantly Surprised I have to admit that when I first tried this product, I was disappointed. It didn't seem to remove enough of the cuticle to look neat and clean. With a few more uses, however, the results were impressive. I don't think my cuticles have ever looked this perfect without my actually having to get them cut by a professional! What a steal at $4.99 with my Sally's card and for so much product! I've poured some in an empty nail polish bottle and will be pouring more in a second one to send to my mom! Love it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome! My nails have never looked better. They are well groomed even without nail polish. I have been applying the product with q-tips; however, I am going to use the tip that suggested to apply with empty nail polish bottles.I have tried all of the other gel cuticle removers and they are basically a waste of time. The quality of finish that i get with Blue Cross is second to none.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from best stuff ever!!! I read the previous reviews on this product and had to go buy it. I love this stuff. Just as previous reviews state it removes stuff that you didn't even know was there and my nails look great. I even used it on my toenails and it looks like I had a professional pedicure! You should use this after filing your nails though, I used it before and it made my skin so soft that when I filed i cut my skin with the edge of the file. Maybe I left it on to long, not sure.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No more cuticle damage, tears & pain! This is another must-have product. The large bottle is very economical. It is a thin liquid so I transfer an amount to a small applicator bottle with a resealable pointed tip. This makes it easy to put a drop or two on each cuticle. I like the suggestion of an earlier reviewer to put the product in an empty nail polish bottle and apply it with a brush, good idea and well worth the effort. After applying product to last fingernail I go back to first nail with a birch wood stick and easily remove junk that I was not even able to see was there. It works that fast. It is perfect for pedicures and I also apply it to my heels with a round cotton pad. It gives an extra boost to smoothing my heels. This product makes my nails and toes look like I had the luxury of time and money to spend at the nail salon. Beware that potash is an acid. Do not soak your nails exclusively in this product, you will damage the top layer of skin around your nails, causing tenderness and peeling. However, it is fine to do this with your heels because the skin is thicker, you can remove and smooth tough callouses without using a blade. HUGE plus. Occasionally I will dot the product on my cuticles and then dip my hands in a soaking cup and it works just as well as when I don't have time to soak my nails. I only wear natural nails and they have been strengthened using this product. Another one of Sally Beauty's best kept secrets.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good product but *funky* smell! This is actually the first *cuticle remover* I've tried so I have nothing to compare it to; but it does seem to do the job. I apply it to my cuticles and 'scrub around' gently with a birchwood stick and the cuticles seem to 'disintegrate'; kinda like an exfoliator works on dead skin; and it does leave your skin supple and soft afterwards. My only complaints are: a. the smell!! It's like dead fish!! Not pleasant! b. it's VERY runny! like water! It runs everywhere! But heck! for the amount of product you get for the price it's a real bargain!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works like a charm! I'm amazed this hasn't received any reviews yet. For a cuticle remover, I believe I have found the 'holy grail' so to speak. First off, this is soooo affordable and the size will last you a very, very long time. At first, I wasn't too pleased at how drippy and liquidy this was and the bottle tends to drip too much onto your cuticles. I found that if you decant some into a cleaned out nail polish bottle, you can paint it onto your cuticles with virtually no drips or mess whatsoever. And, it works! Fast! By the times you've painted all your cuticles you can go back to the first nail and start pushing back and/or removing your cuticles. The lanolin in this really does help keep your cuticles soft. For a quick tidy up, I'll sometimes just paint it on and let it sit for a few seconds before washing/scrubbing off with a nail brush. Definitely worth the price and more!

Does this work for hands and feet and can you use gels straight after?

Asked by: Jackie524
I would say yes, yes and yes. It's not oily. It's actually supper watery so it doesn't stay on but it loosens the cuticle and dead skin better than then thick ones. I just repeat application. It's cheap enough so it doesn't matter.

What type of substance is blue + cross cuticle remover?  I bought a bottle and it is as thin as water and does not adhere to my cuticles to do the job.

Asked by: Nannyloveskiddos
Blue Cross is a liquid, not a gel or lotion. You use very little and it works very fast.  I put a couple of drops on the cuticles.-Only enough to run around the edge of where the cuticle and the nail bed meet, not the whole nail. Alot of the times when I do my nails I use a pointed beauty Q-tip to apply it. Only leave it on for a matter of seconds, maybe 15-30 seconds if you are nails are already pretty neat. Repeat if the cuticle needs to be treated some more. Make light use of a cuticle stick and the dead skin will wipe right off. Wash hands and apply moisturizer.  I suggest using gloves instead of using your bare hands when applying the cuticle remover, or using a small applicator of some sort – like my pointy Q-tip. Do not use cuticle scissors or other sharp objects when using this.  :-)

How well does it work on the toes?

Asked by: HoneyBee 007
It works great! I used it for 17 years when I did nails. I put it in the foot bath then soak. When ready to push back your "cuties" squirt a little on and give it a min or two the get to pushing. It also works well for calluses (since you've been soaking in it) on the toes and feet. It softens them so when scrubbing it doesn't take so much effort to get smooth bottoms.

What accessories do I need to go with this?

Asked by: Anna1990
I would say all you would need is an orange stick to push back the cuticles. And like the reviews say, a bottle with an applicator tip to put it in since it is an economical size and for easier application.
