Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Nail I have been using this nail file for a while now. My nails are the strongest and best they have ever been. Not microscope tearing of the nail, leaves nails very smooth. I use it on both my finger and toe nails. Much better than the other glass files that I have tried. Very subtle but really works.Bought as gifts for friends.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don’t buy this!! Awful, only one in a package and only one sided. Other side is smooth. Too expensive for that quality.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from No Nore Nail Filedust Filedust? Yup, new word for Merriam-Webster to consider. If you don't mind reading a conservative guy's opinion, continue reading... Not sure why only one side is usable but that's not a deal-breaker. First off, this is not a file I would recommend for faux nails. Why? Because the grit is too fine to file plastic. Secondly, I recommend wet filing over dry filing. Why? Because filedust clogs up the file and renders it useless. Unlike with emery boards, wet filing is more effective and cleaner -- no filedust floating or spreading around. This method is similar to cutting tiles with a saw, which uses a water pump to keep the diamond blade wet. So, stand near a sink and rinse the file often. Thirdly, don't apply too much pressure when filing. Why? Because it's a glass file. Despite it being one-eight of an inch thick, it's still glass. Try wet filing and let the file gently do its work. Lastly, sanitize this file with isopropyl alcohol in-between uses -- it's just good hygiene. P.S. Store this file in a rigid case when taking it on the road.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Emery Glass Nail File I’m so glad I bought this nail file because it files the nails easily. In addition there’s not lots of shedding from the nails. This file is very difficult to find in stores.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The best file for nails To the world, do I love the Emery glass fingernail file, I wound up breaking in half one day, and was HEATED, but there was half of it left, now I can't find that one, I am about to go berserk!!!!!! This is like an emergency to me because I was filing my nails, fell asleep with one hand left. Nothing files your nail so good as that one file that I had, and as much as I wanted to go crazy. I came online and discovered them so now all hope is not gone, and I am just so grateful, because I kept this file for at 10 years if not 12, and maintained. It's GOOD to know, now there is a market full of them, thank GOD literally, I am most happy. I truly an better now for this, I was so attached, I feel like I lost my friend, and there is nothing worst than losing a great friend in which I compare to the Emery GLASS nail file, my answer to great manicured nails

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great I finally quit biting my nails and was using Emory boards. I couldn't figure out why my nails were so jagged and sharp until a neighbor told me to try glass files. What a difference!! This is definitely a more pricey glass file, especially since it's only single sided. Does the job, so I'm happy.
