Rated 4 out of 5 by from Less Staining Tried in Poshy Purple and Fierce Fuchsia for a deep purple berry color. While this dye doesn't have the best staying power, it gives a good color & it's great for the price. Here's the thing, it shows up really well on hair that has been lightened at some point (mine was lightened and dyed more than a month ago and I have about a half inch or so of new growth) The dye did not stick to the new growth so even if you have light hair, you might want to do a quick bleach bath just to rough up the hair shaft or choose a different dye. What I really like is that this stuff doesn't dye the scalp and comes off the skin really easy. I left it on my hair for 2 hours and it washed right off my scalp so that's a big plus.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Hair Color for Accents My hair dresser puts this on the front of my hair. I am wearing True Blue now. I get my hair colored red, than she has to strip the location on which she is going to put the color. She applies the color and than I have to sit under a dryer for 25 minutes. When she is finished she washes and styles my hair. The color lasts about six to eight weeks and is still in when I go to her next for my usual appointment. Those who are having problems with the color, in their reviews, don't mention stripping their hair. This may be the problem. So far I have had True Blue, Green, and Teal applied. I am very satisfied. I'm looking for pink now. By the way, I'm 57 going on 58 real close so no age is untouchable. Just step out there and take a chance.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from A Big Lie! I bought this hair color recently Andy just put it in my hair an hour ago. I was so excited for my dirty blonde hair to have a lavender pop in it, but I was sadly disappointed that it barely showed up! Even the subtle parts that did show up weren't even lavender!! I am very disappointed with this product and would never recommend you buy it! I always am dying my hair purples and blues, and it always shows up, but not this one! I even got it from the sameness store as the other dye, but it didn't because work! I felt I were you I would never buy this hair dye! I'm not! From now on I'm sticking to Manic Panic hair dye!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not too bad Just did my hair today. I think next time I am going to try a different brand. I researched the BLUE hair dye and this one got good reviews. So I bought it, of course. I don't know if I didn't keep it in long enough (45 minutes) but it looks as though I washed my hair several times already. Like I said it's not bad. I am not embarrassed by it. My friend that did it and my daughter LOVE it, just thought it would be a deeper blue, and not look so washed out. In the pic it looks black..

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Poshy purple This color worked great on my hair. My hair dresser did a dark brown with the purple being a peekaboo add in. I absolutely love it! I'm going to do the red next.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product I love it. I had blue in my hair. I used this and it looked like my roots was purple. Everybody loved it.

Will this dye stay in my hair   permanently or will it just be in my hair until I wash my hair

Asked by: Josmor00351
Its semi permanent it will gradual fade after each wash.  If you was your hair less often it will last a little longer

If I bleach my hair with a bleach powder and it comes very yellow and want to break the yellow, could I use this product and put little bit with shampoo on my wet hair?

Asked by: Lilian88
This would wash out too quick for that purpose. I would suggest doing a demi-permanent hair toners. They are different than semi permanent colors. If you get an ash or a blue violet demi permanent toner it will last much longer.

I have naturally brown hair and I want to use lovely lavender but I don't want to bleach my hair. Will it still take and come out that light?

Asked by: Breakingoutthebox
You will need to pre lighten your hair. It will not take to a natural brown.

I know I dont have to use a developer with this but my hair is dark black, I def dont want to bleach it. Probably goung to use a color reverse first. Then color it, but should i add a developer as well?

Asked by: JetBlackJaz
You NEVER add developer to direct dyes, which this product is. It's used out of the bottle as is or if you want it lighter, mix with some plain silicone-free white conditioner.

Is it necessary to bleach your hair if it's dark in order for the color to take?

Asked by: Brittany68
yes if you want it a vibrant color. no if you don't. the color will show in the darker hair but it will be dull and muted.

Will there dye show up a sold purple or do I have to apply it twice?

When I used it, I only applied it once and it was beautiful, and solid, just make sure you saturate the hair thoroughly. :)
