CLASSIC BLOWOUT - Detangle, section, and smooth hair before styling. - Make sure the barrel is rotating away from the face. - Grab a 1-2"" wide section of hair and spread it across the barrel evenly, with the barrel underneath the hair and the brush on top. Make sure there are no loose strands hanging off the section. - Close MAX PRIME at the roots and rotate wrist slightly. Let the barrel rotate for a few seconds before gliding down hair. The tangle-free technology will allow hair to glide smoothly as it polishes. - Go more slowly than you would with a flat iron to allow the barrel rotation to do the work for you. Because the rotating barrel is constantly moving, it won't crease and you don't have to worry about damaging your hair. - Rotate your wrist so the hair is snug against the barrel. More tension will require less passes and a smoother result. - Rotate wrist once at the end of the hair and hold for flips at the end.
TOUSLED WAVES - Detangle, section, and smooth hair before styling. - Make sure the barrel is rotating away from the face. - Hold tool vertically. - Grab a 1-2"" section of hair and wrap it around the barrel. Make sure there are no loose strands hanging off the section and that all parts of the hair are on the barrel (and not the tool). - Close MAX PRIME for 3-5 seconds. The longer you press, the more defined the curl will be. - Pull at the ends of the hair for a more piecey look. - Wrap hair in alternate directions as you move through each section of hair.
VA-VA-VOLUME - Add extra volume by applying the rotating barrel at the roots where additional oomph is desired. Glide hair to one side and then flip your hair to part it the opposite direction to build volume. To add volume while smoothing roots, rotate your wrist to overdirect 180˚, then hold for 1-2 seconds against your root before gliding through hair.
Close PRIME to rotate the barrel. For maximum performance, make sure the barrel rotates in the natural direction of hair.
To achieve the PRIME Blowout, start with clean, dry hair. Brush hair to detangle and section hair into 1-2 inch pieces, starting with the under layers first. Position PRIME so the rotating barrel side is closest to the roots with the barrel placed underneath the section of hair. Close to activate the barrel rotation and slowly glide PRIME down to the ends.
PRIME CURLS AND WAVES.
For extra lift, close PRIME around a section of hair at the roots and let the barrel rotate for 3-5 seconds before gliding down to ends of hair. For soft curls and waves, wrap a section of hair around the barrel and close PRIME, allowing the barrel to rotate. Hold in place 3-5 seconds, then open and let the curl gently drop off the barrel.
To clean, unplug the unit from the power source and wait for the unit to cool completely. Wipe the exterior of the unit with a cloth. Be sure to clean the small spaces in between the bristles, as this is where a lot of the residue and buildup can be found. Do not use liquid cleaners, aerosol cleaners, or any cleaner containing detergent, abrasive or corrosive materials.
Slow is the new fast. Flat irons force you to rush through each section to avoid creasing and burning. This can require multiple passes and adds a lot of time. However, the rotating barrel technology works faster when you go slowly. Just count 3-4 full rotations on the iron as you move from scalp to shoulder, and maintain the same pace for longer hair. Less passes, less damage, better results.
Regardless of what hand you are using to style, always ensure the barrel is rotating away from your scalp. Reposition tool as needed so that the barrel is always rotating away from the scalp when styling. Double-click the barrel against the brush to change direction of the barrel rotation.
The more evenly the hair is spread out across the barrel, the better your styling result will be. Allow bristles to spread section of hair across the barrel evenly, with the barrel underneath the hair and the brush on top.
Tension is key. Close the rotating iron at the roots and ensure hair is firmly against the barrel. Apply additional tension by rotating wrist to ensure that hair stays against the barrel.
Each section should be a thin enough layer so that each strand can lay smoothly against the barrel. We recommend taking a 2-3 inch wide, 1 layer thick section of hair.
To smooth at the roots, pull hair away from the head and carefully place barrel on top of the section and glide barrel back and forth before placing barrel underneath section to glide along and smooth underneath.
As curl drops off the barrel, catch the section in your cupped hand and allow to cool to set your curl for longer-lasting style
Try different barrel angles, wrapping techniques and section sizing to perfect the end result for your personal style
