  • Tourmaline and ceramic floating plates Promotes healthy, frizz-free hair 60-minute auto shutoff Heats up to 455℉. Instant recovery Instant heat up
ConairPRO Tourmaline Series Flat Iron is equipped with extended ceramic and tourmaline floating plates for full hair contact to promote smooth, straight and frizz-free hair. The Tourmaline Series Flat Iron's ceramic plates are infused with commercial grade tourmaline to reduce hair friction and breakage while flat ironing to deliver 72% more shine*, up to 70% less frizz*, 5x the hair strength*, 24-hour hold* and all day humidity protection. The flat iron features a ceramic heater that delivers instant heat up and recovery up to 455℉.

*Compared to untreated hair in an independent third-party test.
  • Set the temperature of the ConairPRO Tourmaline Series Flat Iron based on hair type. Place the flat iron on a heat resistant surface while heating up and while in use. Allow flat iron to cool completely before storing.
  • First, section hair into 1" partings. Then, slowly pass hair sections through the ConairPRO Tourmaline Series Flat Iron. For fine to normal hair, use 1-2 passes. For thick, resistant hair, use 3-4 passes. For maximum movement, hold hair sections at a 90° angle while flat ironing.

Recommended heat settings by hair type:

    1. Fragile, very fine hair - up to 390℉.

    2. Thin, easy to straighten hair - up to 415℉.

    3. Normal textured hair - up to 420℉.

    4. Wavy, curly hair - up to 430℉.

    5. Coarse, very thick hair - up to 455℉.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tourmaline Series Flat Iron Best straightner there is!! It takes only a couple minutes to heat and has auto shut off. It straightens my natural curls without a problem! Also I have owned 4 of these! They last me a couple years so you can see how much I love it!! My mother and daughter are also using it. Hope that helps someone when making a purchase. You won’t be disappointed!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from One of the better affordable flat irons available This is the the new name of the Jilbere Paris line by ConAir. I must say i was quite relieved whe I found out they just simply changed the name and didn’t discontinue the line. I had been purchasing Jilbere products for years and they seemed to be the most durable, good quality flat irons out there at an affordable price! However to my surprise the name wasn’t the only thing that changed, it feels alot cheaper now. The weight of the flat iron is significantly lower, it definitely doesn’t seem as durable and the plates don’t seem to get as close to the roots as their original tourmaline iron does. I am not a fan of only having a few pre-set heat settings to choose from either, I really liked the dial that the older version had. It did straighten my hair however the 390 seems a tad too low of a setting for my 3c hair but the 420 is a little too high for my liking. There was absolutely nothing wrong with the older version, wish they would have left it as is.. Ultimately it still is a good product for the price and if you never had the older version you probably wouldn’t have much to “complain” about.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Too wide does not close tight enough Doesn’t get close to the roots leaves it frizzy on the top.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best money I’ve ever spent My hair is extremely curly and frizzy. So I don’t have much luck with hair straighteners not only making my hair straight but keeping the frizz away. I live in Florida so humidity is my worst enemy. With this hair straightener I was able to have no frizz and keep my hair SUPER straight. Trust me! I never even write reviews for anything I’ve purchased before but I felt this one was absolutely necessary!

which size is better for think long hair

Asked by: sissy2598
i have THICK and LONG hair. I would go with the thicker one simply because it doesnt take near as long as the thin one. I have owned both and would go bigger anyday to save my time getting ready :)

Is this the replacement for the Jilbere Tourmaline Series Flat Iron by Jilbere? Years ago I had the grey with red palates and I went to buy one and they don't have them anymore. Did they change the look of it?

Asked by: Iannieee
I have the one you talking about jilbere tourmaline, I've had mine for a couple of years now and it still works good. but I wanted a new one so I just bought one day 1/17\18 so I'm going to try it out Friday on my clients but I do think they made it over . the old jilbere have heavier plates and hold the hair in place really good .
