Are there special makeup tips for wedding photos?

To give your wedding photos a timeless quality, keep your makeup simple and classic. Take time before your photos to test run your look, wearing a white t-shirt to replicate the color of the dress. Don't apply any new makeup products without a trial run to test for both allergic reaction and color correctness. If you will be photographed outdoors, apply your makeup in natural light. For best results, define your eyes, but keep the look soft. Avoid frosted or metallic eye shadows because the iridescent particles tend to gather and accentuate fine lines. Use waterproof mascara, but avoid long false eyelashes that can cast dark shadows under the eyes. For cheeks, use a soft blush on the apples, but don't overdo it. For lips, unless it's your signature look, avoid bright colors, as well as frosted shades. Choose a moisturizing lipstick in a natural-looking shade that is just a little deeper than your natural lip color and top it with clear gloss. Most important, get a good night's sleep the night before your photos and smile!
