Is there a way to reduce irritation caused by tweezing brows?

To reduce irritation, take a steamy shower or place a warm washcloth over your brows before tweezing to open the pores. Don't use an ice cube or "freeze before you tweeze," because this will close the pores and it makes it harder to pull the hair. Gently wipe the area to be tweezed with a mild astringent to help prevent infection, and use professional quality slant tweezers for best results. After tweezing or waxing you can apply skin calming lotion formulated to help soothe the skin and reduce irritation. Be careful when applying any products near the eyes.
