When I apply mascara, it clumps. What can I do?

This problem could be partially due to the type of mascara you are using. Mascara termed "lash thickeners" or "lash builders" tend to be thicker and may clump more easily. There are two solutions to this problem. Either, try a lengthening mascara with a thinner formulation for a more natural look, or, use an eyelash comb or a clean mascara brush to remove the clumps and separate lashes. You may simply need to replace your mascara, which tends to get thicker and dry out over time.
