Premium Creme Hair Color is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 152.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Swatch Accurate Blonde 7G I used the shade 7G (Medium Golden Blonde) on pale yellow and gold bleached hair. I was dubious at first since I had used the shade 10g and I was left unimpressed (although it was most likely because my hair was too dark for the 10g when I tried it), but I decided to give it another try with a darker shade. I was aiming for a dark blonde but I chose a medium blonde since my hair has the tendency to exacerbate dark pigments. I easily mixed the color creme with 10 volume developer, to avoid any extra lift, and I let it process on my hair for 30 minutes. I could have left it on for 45 minutes but the dye was looking really dark and red, so I left it on for 30 minutes. I was more than impressed with this dye. Not only was it easy to mix and apply, but the color was accurate to the swatch (as well as dimensional and not flat)) and bleached hair was left in great condition. Things to take into consideration: *My hair was mostly pale yellow before using the color, but it still covered the gold. *I used a 10 volume developer, it could be different if you use a 20vol. * You may need more than 1 box. I'm a guy with buzzed 1" sides and back with 4-8 inch layers on top, and 1 box was just enough. * If your hair tends to go darker, use a shade lighter with a 10 volume developer. You can always go darker but it can be damaging to lighten your hair if it comes out too dark.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Had to Make a Choice... Since Clairol took my all time favorite hair color off the shelf I did not have much choice then to go back to Soy. I was given a recommendation by Sally's that it was just as good and the color was close to Vanilla Vanilla. Well I just used the Soy and I am not happy with the color nor the way my hair responded in the texture of my hair. I am so unhappy that Flare is being discontinued. Now I am on another journey to look for another product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from wonderful color Just colored my ash blond with gray hair using Soy4Plex color number 8V. The most natural and rich blond color ever. Not brassy at all, just beautiful!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Lightened my gray I got this product free to try and I was under the impression I could use it to go completely silver/gray. I found that my grays were lightened to a pretty silverish lavender but the rest of my hair stayed the mousey dirty blonde color it is. I also was given the soy conditioning creme and it left a heavyness to the roots.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from 9v Lavender Sugar Directions on box and inside box were very vague (did not specify what developer strength or to apply it on wet or dry hair). This product claims that it can be used as a dye or toner (in which were displayed as two different colors) but only had one set of directions so I was not sure if the directions would result in the "dye" color or the "toner" color. I went for it and followed the directions using a level 20 developer and left it on not even 20 mins. (the instructions say to leave it on 30-40 mins) due to the fact that it was getting extremely dark and was starting to scare me. The displayed color showed a very cool toned blonde with a slight lavender base but what I got... Is what nightmares are made of. I could not find a SINGLE review on this product so I figured I would make one from my experience. :( I could have messed up some where along the process because it is me but I'm pretty confident I followed the dull directions. It DID make my hair super soft though :)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Clariol Lavender Ice I bought the Lavender Ice 10v. I was light blonde but I was trying to embrace my silver hair coming in. This left my hair in good condition and my blonde came out the silver color to match my roots

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not happy with... First time using. I was looking for a PRETTY color of brown with a natural look, and something to cover the grey around hairline, used 5N. Girl in store said the double NN means the color would be more intense. I wanted a product that would be KIND to my hair.... Im 64 and just went thru 2mths of hair loss to the max...???? Awful... put it on with brush. Used a color sealer from Ion also. It was more of a medium to dark brown when dry. And my hair was so soft it wouldnt even hold a natural curl. But that was better than dry hair. I knew that would change with a few washings. So one wash in as of today, and I lost at least 50% of the color. Like i never even put that color on. The roots are covered but with a light brown shade instead of the richer brown that i strived for. So I am not too sure i will use it again, have much left in tube. I have short hair. I can only imagine how light it is going to get after a couple more washings. Might write another review after a few weeks to say how it looks then. It is soft and did cover the grey tho. Whether i would recommend or not, NOT SURE, there is no maybe below to check. So im checking yes, cuz i have had way worse hair disasters in the past.

Is lavender ice a clear color what does it do for gray hair

Asked by: cyndiemt
I just used Lavender Ice because my gray hair was dingy/yellow-ish from mid-shaft down and purple shampoos were not helping at all. My hair is now all evenly gray and bright. I do have salt and pepper hair and the hair color did lightly lift my bang area, but doesn’t look bad. It did not however lift the pepper on the rest of my hair. I used one box of hair color and two 10V cream developer 2:1 ratio. I left color in my hair for 18 minutes and I applied it to damp hair. There’s a YouTube video from Clairol with the proper application Demo. Good luck.

Wondering the best hair dye. Paul mitchell caused a bad reaction - lumps, scabs throughout my head. Hair stylist said she has never known this to happen. Any suggestions?

Asked by: Danielle06
I recommend Satin brand hair color. Their develop has an Aloe Base and it really seems to help those with allergies. There is also a product named Stop The Burn manufactured by Smart Solutions. And believe it or not sometimes Sweet and Low yes the artificial sweetener helps people who have a reaction to hair color

To dye my hair what developer would work good... need answers first time I’m tryint to dye my hair with out professional help. I want a chocolate brown color right now it has a lot of golden blonde shades.

Asked by: Letty123
If you are going darker you could use a 10 volume developer. That way it will have minimum lift and more deposit. If your hair has been previously colored you will want to be careful so it doesn't get too dark. Choose a shade that is at least one or two shades lighter than you think... For example I use a level 6N (which is labeled as a dark blonde) for a perfect chocolate brown color to cover gray. Strangely enough the 5GN in the Clairol line is more forgiving and not as chocolatey but more transparent. 10 volume developer is definitely the one you want...

How can I tell if my tube of soyflex permanent hair color is too old?

Asked by: Carol1952
If the tube is in good condition and is still sealed I would use it and I do have lots of hair color that I haven't opened and it was fine after 3-4 years. If the tube still feels firm and not hard you should be good to go and I found that using the SoyFlex developer in 30 made a difference and was super gentle on my hair.
