Does 8rg work with salon care 40 volume developer and does it cover light blue blonde hair

Asked by: Haleigh1994
I wouldn’t use 40 v if you have already bleached your hair to color it blue. Your hair will be fried to say the least and at most will burn your scalp and cause your hair to break off. I would recommend a different shade, probably darker like a 5-6 red-violet or a brown shade. I think 8 might be too light. You can always go to a salon for a free consult too, even if you don’t have intentions of getting an appt it’s best to see what an expert might advise.

What shade of Wella toner do I use with a 20 volume developer to achieve a frosted white colour? I am presently using a 12A/B Super Ultra Light Ash Blond by Tressa (Colourage) which covers my mostly grey hair but want to transition from blonde to white.

Asked by: GreatWhiteNorth
To achieve a white hair color you first have to soft bleach your hair to a pale yellow color ,less yellow even better. After that you can tone your hair with wella color touch 10/6 or wella color touch 10/0+10/81+0/88 with 10vol  or you can also do wella special blond 12/96 with 10vol. All will be mixed in a ratio 1:2 be careful with style shades 0/88 only use a dot or two. Process for 10-25min and you are ready to go.

How many levels can the Wella 9G gel color charm lift? Planning to use this on a natural strawberry blonde for highlights applied with foils. Will this work instead of applying a lightener and then a separate toner to achieve golden blonde highlights?

Asked by: jasznine
Non... color doesn’t lift color. Color charm is great to keep your existing color fresh or play around with different shadings. But it doesn’t lift only bleach will lift colored hair or wella special blond on natural hair.

I use wella 1290 ultra light blonde on my light brown hair. After years of use it is looking washed out and I would like to add a smidge of color. I know I need to stay in the blue/violet family. What color would you suggest to enhance the color just a bi

You could follow up with a toner so that you affect the tone and are less likely to affect the shade level. For professional advice on this product please contact the Wella Help Line 1-866-722-4146. Hotlines are open from 8:30am to 8:30pm Monday – Friday and 9:00am – 6:00pm Saturday & Sunday

My hair lady had a stroke and she told me "NEUTRAL COOL BROWN" was my color. I can't find that color. Has it's name been changed?

Asked by: bettygray
If it's possible to get the color level and the base color from your stylist, you would be able to find a more exact match. It is possible that the name of the hair color could have changed. Hi ! I have blonde hair. Used in the past honey blonde, light blonde. I am wanting some red highlights in my hair. I don't want just light blonde anymore. what do you suggest? I have also looked at the anti-aging colors?

Asked by: Rene DMoor
It depends on how light you want the red highlights to be. SBS-800457 7R/810 is the lightest red in this collection. I would suggest doing strand test first to see if the results will match what you are looking for. For professional advice on this product please contact the Wella Help Line 1-866-722-4146. For 15 years I’ve bleach my hair white/blonde using powder bleach with 30vol developer. Now it’s badly damaged. I want to go a bit darker but my hair usually will not even hold any color. What can I do?

Asked by: Ginger4u
before you go darker make sure to use a protein filler. I went from white blonde level 10 to a 7a (ash blonde) but used Protein Color Filler in #2 first (or you can use a colorless filler) The protein filler will help fill the ends of your hair to help the color last longer and distribute evenly. Only wash your hair once or twice a week with sulfate free or color friendly shampoo. On your off days if you need to wash your hair, get a good co-wash (conditioning wash) it doesn't suds up but cleans and conditions very gently. Baby your hair by weekly deep conditioning,if you need to style, use very low heat and a good heat protector.

Hello, I am having issues with colors turning my hair blue, green and so forth. I am looking for a color that once it wears off, I want my gray to show. Does this color do that? I am looking for just natural black.

Asked by: Tawanna J
Hello I have been using this product for over 20 years and it works great!! I never get any other colors except the one it says on the box. And when it grows out it will show your grey hair at the roots. I highly recommend this product to anyone. Good luck!
