Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wish I'd Tried This Sooner!!! Bought this today, wish I'd tried it sooner. Had an painfully thick, less than half full bottle of Seche Vite, ready to be thrown away. I used way too many drops to count, probably at least 60 or more - I lost track, but it worked! Swirled it around until it looked free flowing, let it sit for a bit, and VOILA! Got a great result same day! Used two coats of the Seche over a very glittery polish, Zoya Dhara. It looked just as shiny, and worked as well as usual. Thought maybe the thinner might compromise the polish, but it didn't. It's totally worth buying. Seche Vite is not cheap, and I could kick myself for as many half-used, thick bottles I've already thrown away. Live and learn. Give it a try yourself! Forgive the iffy pic, my webcam is not great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So Far, So Good! So far, I've tried this with 2 nail polish formulas that were questionable when I first used them in order to make application easier so I wouldn't have to throw the whole bottle out. I tried it first on a bottle of Julep nail polish that I've had for about 2 years. This is one nail polish that started acting up and got really thick after the first time I used it so I hadn't used it that much since. I had to add quite bit but this helped to make it usable. I'm still not sure if this one Is even worth the trouble though. I just used it with my Essie French Affair-- which has always been streaky and a little though to work with because of that. With it thickened, it's even worse. The nail polish thinner did help to make the brush more playable and I was able to get a streak-free finish with about 3-4 coats or so. I also added it to my Seche Vite, which get think about halfway through the bottle. I added a lot of the thinner that last time I used it and may have to keep adding a little to it every time I use it but it look like I'll least get to finish the bottle. That a big plus!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Affordable & Does its job! I bought this like 2 years ago and its still going strong! I have about 1/4 of the liquid left and typically use 7-9 drops per bottle. It also cleans my nail art brushes very well. My only issue is in the cap's pouring mechanism which always has a little spillage after pouring thinner into a bottle. I wish they would switch to a different bottle design that doesn't cause me to lose a drop every time I pour. I still recommend it, though, despite the cap issue.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from it works! I've had this for years and it works! It does take multiple drops most times but I'm able to use my polish.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works like it's supposed to. I got it so I could completely use up my nail polishes and it surved it's purpose.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works Great! I bought this because some of the polish that is not used on a regular basis was getting a little thick. I added a small amount of nail polish thinner and it made all the difference in the polish!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Revived nail polish I have had numerous occasions when I noticed my nail polish going on thicker. I always keep a bottle of the nail polish thinner on hand and the next time I use my polish, or if I notice before using, a few drops of the Beauty Secrets Thinner solves my problem and it is back to the way it was when new. Never am without the Beauty Secrets Thinner.

Can this also be used to thin gel polish?

Asked by: Liz
I wouldn't suggest using this in gel polishes. The make up of those is very different than regular polish. If you're not too attached to the bottle, give it a try and see, but it could ruin the gel polish. But if it's too thick to use right now, you might as well try and thin it and see. Nothing to lose if the gel polish is ruined by the thinner, if it's already too thick to use in the first place anyway.

Will this work for Gel polish?

I just received everything in the mail to do my gel nails at home. I did my daughters first and they turned out great; attempted mine with a different color and they were horrible. Had to remove...the polish did not go on well, thick and left stroke marks...thinking maybe needs to be thinner? Thoughts?
Asked by: Nicki
If your polish was old that would matter. Also, i have teenage daughters who tend to leave lids off polish and they chit chat while open bottle is drying up. I heard if you use this thinner you really have to pour 10-15 drops of polish thinner in your goopy polish. I also see actual nail polish solvent acetone solvent which is listed here on the same website you asked your question. Hope this helps. Thin it out that will help also a little tip if going for two coats first coat shake bottle well, apply thin coat to each nail let dry completely 5 to 10 minutes if you are doing second coat. Then apply your second coat let dry then follow with top coat some gel coats require top coat some are included in color polish all in one base color and top coat. Yeah..so check out nail polish solvent and nail polish thinner..Namaste

Can this product be used with the seche vite top coat?

Asked by: Serena780
It does work on the seche vite top coat. If you want it to be like a fresh bottle it does take more than a few drops tho. I'd say about 10-12 drops depending on how goopy and thick it is. Add 5 or so drops, shake well and see if you need to add a bit more.
