Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing wax for sensitive skin I have had sensitive skin for many years, and recently have developed a sensitivity to traditional waxes made from pine/tree products. I would visit traditional salons and end up with very red, inflamed, itchy skin in my brazilian area that was just a nightmare to deal with. I narrowed it down to the Rosin/Glyceryl rosinate that is in most waxes that was causing my reactions. I picked this up because it has neither rosin nor glyceryl rosinate. I now do my own brazilians at home and this stuff works very well on my coarse hair. Of course there is the odd hair left behind due to me being in weird positions to rip the strip off, and I find that the hairs that do not come off with this wax are incredibly stubborn hairs that I even have to yank out with tweezers. Of all the waxes I've tried this is the best for my hair. I don't get a reaction, I don't have any inflammation aside from post-epilatory redness and pain, and I am not left with itchy skin. This is a SOFT WAX that requires a STRIP. I've seen comments of people waiting for it to harden, but this is NOT a hard wax. This wax is also very easy to clean off hard surfaces if you use baby oil (that's also how you get this stuff off your skin after your wax).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from best wax I have ever used! Not sure why others were waiting for this wax to harden after applying to try and remove. I heated the wax in my wax pot machine. Then spread on (leg) in direction of hair growth with a big 1" wide popsicle stick. Then applied a cotton strip, rubbed to secure to the wax and then pulled off in opposite direction. Voila!! all the wax and hair came off and left my leg nice and smooth. Continued same process on rest of my leg and other leg. Just love the ease of using this wax!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Are you kidding me I bought this thinking it was going to be quick and easy, BUT I WAS WRONG. I heated up the wax and followed all the directions. I applied it using a popsicle stick and waited . It said to wait 30 seconds so I did. And it didn’t harden so I waited a few minutes. It didn’t harden. I had to leave soon so I had to wear pajamas in public to hide the wax (FYI the wax got stuck to my pajamas so thanks now they’re ruined). Before I left I tried to wash it off but it didn’t come off even after I used my loofah (which is also now ruined as well) and my exfoliator. Then used some lotion thinking it might help get off. Anyways 5 hours later I’ve come back home and it’s still not dry. I had to yank my hair off one by one to the point that my fingers are red. I spent half an hour in the shower using everything I could and well my body hair is gone but it’s still sticky. This is literally the worst wax I’ve ever used and I’ve used cheaper waxes. Thanks for the $18 I won’t get back ! Also I spent over $25 and they didn’t give me that $5 off so I don’t even know guys...

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor aftermath I went to a fellow cosmetic student who was doing eyebrow waxing the outcome was beautiful although the after care burnt my skin and make me have a treturous allergic reaction including redness and bumps

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Azulene wax It sucked. Trying to get mt armpit hair with it was horrible. My skin almost ripped. I would not be re-purchasing.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from It’s good It’s a good product and it is easy to apply and take off as well. The smell is a little strong but not too bad. Not sticky and isn’t very stringy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent but gentle strip wax I love this wax so much. Gigi Azulene wax gets both the stubborn coarse hair and fine hair yet so gentle to the most sensitive skin.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from OK, not great I know with these waxes it's different for everyone but personally, I was not thrilled with this stuff. I've tried All purpose Honee and Brazillian Hard wax with good results but bought this since it was supposed to do well with sensitive skin. It didn't work nearly so well as the Honee, lots of hair was left behind. It was also stickier. I give it a three because it did still work much better than any microwave kit I've every tried, but just not as good I expect from Gigi products.

My daughter is having an allergic reaction to this wax. any suggestions?

Asked by: Millie p
I am pretty sure there is a wax that’s fine for sensitive skin. As far as the reaction... is she blistering or just red?

Is this soft or hard wax?

Asked by: Jacklynn01
I would think this is a soft wax to be used with a Muselin strip of fabric. I believe hard wax is the one that you apply and can remove it with your fingers pulling at once.

How is the wax heated?

Asked by: Ivory29u
You can buy a wax heating machine which is the easiest because he keeps it even temperature or if not you can heat water in a saucepan and put it with the water level be below the metal container make sure that when you take out the metal container you wear oven it's because it will be hot make sure you don't boil it just warm it up it works very well
