MINI On The Go LED Light is rated 3.9 out of 5 by 39.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works perfectly and a great price This is an amazing lamp. Its a fine size for home use - can do feet and hands. But, please, I beg you, do not disconnect the power cord frequently. It's not meant to do so and will loosen/break within a few months. I liked to store it unplugged but it is not rugged enough to be detached/ re attached with any amount of frequency. So I'm not sure if its really good for travel if taking it apart risks the power cord eventually loosening/malfunctioning. Otherwise, perfect.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Convenient and Love it! I am a licensed cosmetologist, I bought the mini light after my big light was broke in the process of moving. The mini light almost works better than the big light. You will always have tackiness between coats until you put the top it off on and I usually cure the top coat twice. Then you apply the blue nail cleanser by Gelish and it takes away any tackiness you have. I usually put some nourish on my cuticles and you have an easy great way to do Gelsih nails at home. Can be expensive to get all the stuff you need to get started but once you have it, its worth the pay off!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from If you're like me and are worried about tackiness This LED light works perfectly. When I first attempted to do my own gel nails at home *I did not know that tackiness was to be expected UNTIL AFTER the top coat is applied, cured, and wiped with cleaner/alcohol.* if you were discoureged by the sticky gummy feeling nails after you applied the foundation or a few coats of color, please give this another try. I was ready to return the light until I realized that even though my nails did not feel dry after placing them under the light in between coats of polish, they were indeed being cured. Once you apply the top coat, cure your nails, and than rub them with isopropyl alcohol. Tada... perfect gel pedicure!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Works, but I have to go longer than 45 seconds I've had this for awhile. I followed all the tips given by pros, I even watched and remembered every step they do when I get my nails done at a salon. For some reason, sometimes after I cure for 45 seconds, I'll go to do a final coat (or if I'm done, I go to wipe with alcohol to remove tackiness) and the color wipes off! It's so annoying! The steps I take are: file and buff nails, wipe nails with alcohol, pH bond, thin coat of foundation, cure, thin coat of color, cure, 2nd thin coat of color, cure, finish with top it off, cure, wipe with alcohol...my nails never last as long as when the pros do it. I have to cure for over 2 minutes sometimes just to make sure the polish doesn't wipe off. Idk if I should go to a nicer model or if it's user error.....I'm sad

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect! Very happy with this purchase. It worked exactly as I hoped it would. If you're having problems, I would read through some of the reviews. Lots of great tips there! :)

How long do yu need to charge before it turns on

Asked by: Dreajay2
I always use the power cord. I wasn't aware it could be used portably. Thanks for the education.

Can this be used to dry acrylic nail color? And will it be safe to use to dry a 3 yr. olds polish on her finger nails and toe nails?

Asked by: Tammyinal
If you mean by acrylic color the hard gel color over acrylic? Then yea but may have to be cured longer.

Does this light work only on gel polishes?

Asked by: Sandyc69
Sorry there isn’t a “quick dry” top coat for gel polish but you can use a “no-wipe” top coat to eliminate the last step of wiping off sticky layer after top coat is cured.

45 seconds is enough to cure each layer?

Asked by: Lourdes Leonor
Sometimes darker colors take a longer curing time so I usually do each hand twice and thumbs separately as the light has a hard time reaching the edge of the thumb even in more expensive higher wattage lamps.

If you're using the Gel base and top coat, can you use regular polish for the color? I know what I was doing wrong before for the tacky bit, but mine also got all pruned. Comments?

Asked by: Caitdegr8
No you cannot unless the regular polish is 100% dry. It will wrinkle and look good for a minute even with gel top coat. You must use a LED CURABLE gel polish, any brand will work. I work in a high volume nail salon and use this at home! I still usually cure each coat twice just in case as this is only a 5 watt lamp. Hope this helps! Tackiness occurs in all the coats including base & top coat UNLESS it’s a “no-wipe” top coat. U don’t need to wipe in between any layers, only top coat after cured. Then only need isopropyl alcohol! Make sure nails at the start are clean with alcohol as buffed beforehand to remove any shine on natural nail. Good luck!

What are the dimensions of the light? I'm looking for something small enough to travel with so I can take it on my honeymoon for touch-ups.

Asked by: ImGettingMarried
The base is about 6" X 5" and about 2" tall. Stack your hands one on top of the other. The light is about the size of your hands stacked. Hope this helps.

This machine is not dryimg my nails and I got the gelish polish

Asked by: Cinty2017
I find the colors don't truly "cure" all the way until you put the top coat on. Every layer will have a sticky residue, which is normal. Check to see that the top coat cures. If it does then the light is fine. After the top coat you have to remove the tackiness with isopropyl alcohol. Hope this helps
